Publicación Acceso abierto Nivel de conocimiento de la actividad antimicrobiana de la mezcla de los aceites esenciales de Dysphania ambrosioides(paico) y Mentha spicata (hierbabuena) frente a bacterias tipificadas, Huaycán – Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-07-22) Quispe Guzman, Nelson Martin; Jaramillo Briceño, Marilú RicardinaThe general objective was to determine the level of knowledge about the antimicrobial activity of the essential oil mixture of Dysphania ambrosioides (paico) and Mentha spicata (spearmint) against standardized bacteria in Huaycán – Lima 2021. Methodology: The deductive method was used, with a quantitative approach, basic type, and non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 100 residents who attended the Central Market No. 3 on Av. 15 de Julio A.H. Huaycán Zone J. The data collection technique was a survey, and the measurement instrument was a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 26. Results: The level of knowledge about the antimicrobial activity of the essential oil mixture of paico and spearmint against Escherichia coli was at a low level for 56% of respondents, and the level of knowledge about its activity against Staphylococcus aureus was at a low level for 39% of respondents. Conclusion: It was determined that 43% of the interviewed residents had a medium level of knowledge about the antimicrobial activity of the essential oil mixture of Dysphania ambrosioides (paico) and Mentha spicata (spearmint) against standardized bacteria in Huaycán – Lima 2021.
