    Level of knowledge and self-care practices of arteriovenous fistula in patients with chronic kidney disease at the hemodialysis service of Callao Hospital - 2023

    Introduction: Hemodialysis patients should receive education on arteriovenous fistula (AVF) self-care from a health care professional. This education should include information on how to flush the AVF, how to avoid complications, and how to recognize signs of problems or complications, hence the need for knowledge. Objective: "To determine how the level of knowledge is related to self-care practices of arteriovenous fistula in patients with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis". Methodology: Hypothetico-deductive method, nonexperimental design, quantitative, descriptive method, applied correlation method, cross-sectional method; the census sample will be made up of 105 patients attending hemodialysis therapy at the hemodialysis service of the hospital in Callao. The measurement instruments will be the valid and reliable questionnaires of Bouby Martinez (43) from his thesis "Level of knowledge and self-care practices of the hemodialyzed patient with arteriovenous fistula, Centro Privado CEDISAN SAC Chimbote, 2018". Spearman's Correlation analysis will be used to test the hypothesis
