Publicación Acceso abierto Relación entre Desempeño Laboral e Inteligencia Emocional en el personal asistencial y administrativo del Hospital I Tingo María EsSalud 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-08-28) Reynoso Calderón, Rolando Marcos; Maguiña Palma, Misael EriksonOBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between job performance and emotional intelligence in the healthcare and administrative staff of Hospital I Tingo María EsSalud 2024. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The research method is descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional, with a quantitative, deductive, sequential, and confirmatory approach. The type of study is applied, correlational, descriptive, and prospective, with a non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional descriptive design. The sample consists of 125 healthcare and administrative workers who are permanently employed at Hospital I Tingo María EsSalud from January to March 2024. The sample was selected using simple random sampling and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The instruments used are the Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS-S) and the technical sheet “Job Performance Questionnaire” Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ). RESULTS: The vast majority of healthcare and administrative professionals have moderate emotional intelligence: 69.6% (87), 58.4% (73) have moderate intrapersonal perception, 68% (85) have moderate interpersonal perception, 86.4% (108) show moderate emotional assimilation, 60% (75) display moderate emotional regulation, and 48% (60) of healthcare and administrative professionals exhibit moderate job performance. CONCLUSIONS: There is a direct relationship between job performance and emotional intelligence in the healthcare and administrative staff of Hospital I EsSalud Tingo María 2024. This relationship is significant and shows a high degree of correlation (Spearman's Rho: 0.99; P: 0.007).
