Most of the studies are quasi-experimental, with 70%, primarily from Mexico, Brazil, Peru, and Cuba. Among systematic reviews, 10% (01) are from Mexico and 20% (02) are from Brazil. Conclusions: The reviewed studies demonstrate the effectiveness of health education in strengthening self-care for patients with Diabetes Mellitus.
