Objective: Determine preoperative anxiety in patients who are going to undergo surgical procedures in the operating room of a hospital in Lima, 2020. Materials and methods: The approach used in this study is quantitative, due to the type of measurement instrument and the use of statistics to subsequently analyze the data; The assumed design is the descriptive-transverse one. The population will consist of 80 duly selected preoperative patients who will undergo a surgical procedure in the operating room. The technique considered for field work will be the survey that will allow the collection of a significant amount of information in a short period of time, and the data collection instrument will be the scale called Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety and Information Scale (APAIS), which presents two dimensions and 6 reagents/items.Ítem Acceso abierto Professional quality of life and burnout in nurses pursuing specialty studies at a university in Lima, 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-02-06) Ruiz López, María Elena; Paucarcaja Rojas, Noelia; Matta Solis, Hernán HugoObjective: Determine the relationship between quality of professional life and burnout in nurses studying specialty studies at a University in Lima, 2018. Materials and Method; This research has a quantitative, correlational, cross-sectional approach. The population was made up of 522 nurses who are studying specialty studies at a university in Lima. The instrument used to measure professional quality of life was the “CVP 35 questionnaire” and the “MBI HSS” measurement scale was used to measure burnout. Results: For the quality of professional life variable, it was found that the majority of nurses present a medium level with 72%, among the dimensions of professional quality of life the following predominated: Intrinsic Motivation 66.5%, workload 69.3%. In relation to burnout, it was evident that 53.4% present a low burnout, in terms of the predominant dimension is personal fulfillment with 77.6% presenting a high burnout. To determine the relationship, the Spearman statistical test was used, which indicates that there is no correlation between quality of professional life and burnout, which yielded a correlation index of - 0.072 and a significance index of 0.051. Conclusion: the majority of nurses presented average quality of professional life and low burnout. There is no statistically significant relationship between Quality of professional life and Burnout.
