    Niveles de prioridad en triaje y tiempo de espera en la atención de emergencia en el hospital regional Ica, 2024

    Objective: “To determine the relationship between triage priority levels and emergency care time in patients”. Method: The study used the hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational procedure. The population is constituted by the medical records and represented by a sample of 384. The instrument “Data registration form for triage priority and waiting time in the care of patients in the emergency department” was used. Results: The results showed that 84.7% of the users attended in the emergency department had priority I and their waiting time met the standard; 86.5% had priority II and their waiting time met the standard; 90.7% had priority III and their waiting time met the standard; 87.9% had priority IV and their waiting time met the standard. Conclusions: A relationship was determined between triage priority levels and emergency care time in patients in the emergency department of the Regional Hospital of Ica (χ 2=102,590; p=0,000).
