The method was descriptive with a cross-sectional design; the population consisted of 35 nursing professionals. The technique used was the interview, and the instruments were two (2) Likert-type scales with five (5) response options, validated through expert judgment, and their reliability determined by the Cronbach’s alpha test (Motivation: 0.684 and Job Satisfaction: 0.809). Methodology: A systematic review of 10 scientific articles on the prevention of phlebitis in patients with PVCs was conducted using the databases Scielo and Medline PubMed. All articles correspond to systematic reviews, quantitative studies, and meta-analyses. Results: The findings reveal that 100% of the reviewed articles indicate that nursing care for patients with PVCs prevents the occurrence of phlebitis. Conclusions: The systematic review of the 10 scientific articles highlights that nursing intervention is a key element in preventing phlebitis. Recommendations include replacing peripheral lines when clinically indicated, selecting larger caliber veins, avoiding high-friction and high-mobility insertion sites, ensuring proper flushing of lines with 0.09% saline solution after prolonged infusions of highly concentrated medications, and closely monitoring the insertion site to address phlebitis suspicions early. Nurses should apply theoretical knowledge and technical skills, with non-urgent line replacements preferably scheduled in the morning shifts under systematic monitoring and documentation.
