(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-03-04) Gallardo Simeón, Iveth Nataly; Sernaque Juarez, Milagros Fabiola; Segura Vílchez, Tito Magno
Melasma is a chronic skin condition that affects the facial area of patients and often impacts their quality of life. Therefore, the objective of this research was to evaluate the quality of life of patients diagnosed with melasma who were seen at a specialized pharmaceutical office in the district of Jesús María during August and September 2018. Method: This was a cross-sectional observational study conducted over a two-month period. A total of 148 patients were surveyed using the MelasQoL questionnaire, which consists of 10 questions and was validated in Colombia for patients with melasma. Results: The average age of the patients was 38.74 years (SD +/-10.032). Of the total, 83.8% (n=124) were female and 16.2% (n=24) were male. The age range of 31–40 years included the largest number of patients (n=62, 41.9%). The study found that 39.20% (n=58) of patients reported a severe impact on their quality of life, while 15.5% (n=23) reported a very severe impact. Additionally, more than 50% of the patients reported discomfort with their skin's appearance and feelings of frustration.

Conocimiento de sildenafilo y factores asociados a su consumo en varones de 20 a 70 años que acuden a la botica Mi Perú, Ventanilla – 2022
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-07-21) Porras Llashag, Rosmery Nelly; Rincon Estofanero, Belen Marie; Segura Vílchez, Tito Magno
The present study aimed to establish the relationship between knowledge of Sildenafil and the factors associated with its consumption among men aged 20 to 70 who visit the Mi Perú pharmacy in Ventanilla – 2022. The study followed a hypothetical-deductive approach, with a quantitative, basic type, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design. The population consisted of 300 men. The questionnaire contained 23 questions divided into two parts: the first part addressed factors associated with consumption, comprising three dimensions with 14 questions using a Likert scale; the second part assessed knowledge of Sildenafil with 9 closed-ended questions (YES/NO) regarding adverse effects, dosage, and frequency of administration. The results showed that only 4.1% of users had a high level of knowledge, 47.3% had a medium level, and 48.5% had a low level of knowledge. Additionally, in the self-medication factor dimension, 33.1% of users reported that they are sometimes influenced by media, the internet, or social networks. It was concluded that the level of knowledge is significantly related to the consumer's occupation (p-value = 0.004). Furthermore, an inverse correlation was observed between knowledge of Sildenafil and the self-medication factor, meaning that an increase in the frequency of self-medication is associated with a decrease in knowledge (Rho = -0.978).

Conocimiento sobre buenas prácticas de almacenamiento en estudiantes de farmacia y bioquímica de la Universidad Norbert Wiener del octavo y noveno ciclos, Lima, julio del 2017
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-08-24) Calderón Ramos, Milagros; Oyanguren Sarmiento, Katyhusca Mercedes; Segura Vílchez, Tito Magno
This study aimed to determine the level of knowledge regarding Good Storage Practices among Pharmacy and Biochemistry students of the eighth and ninth semesters at Universidad Norbert Wiener. This research was developed because the Good Storage Practices Manual is constantly applied in the professional field. The study was grounded in the experience gained as graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, and based on the syllabi of related courses, with the goal of improving them. The results showed that, out of a total of 130 students, 41.54% demonstrated a low level of knowledge, 49.23% a medium level, and 9.23% a high level. Since the most frequent outcome was a medium level of knowledge, it was concluded that one of the main factors is the insufficient number of academic hours dedicated to this topic, which hinders optimal learning for graduates. It is recommended to standardize the teaching hours for this subject, balancing the coverage of Good Storage Practices with Good Manufacturing Practices, as these competencies are essential in the professional field.

Therefore, this research project was carried out with the objective of establishing the relationship between knowledge and the degree of compliance with Good Storage Practices for thermo-sensitive medicines in a drugstore in Bellavista, Callao – 2022. The methodology applied was basic type, correlational level, deductive method, quantitative approach, non-experimental design, and cross-sectional scope. For data collection, a survey technique was applied through a questionnaire to evaluate the knowledge variable among 80 active participants, and for measuring the degree of compliance variable, a checklist was used based on current regulations. Data were processed with SPSS using Spearman’s correlation coefficient. Results: A direct relationship was found between the variables knowledge and degree of compliance, with a rho correlation value of 0.489, indicating a moderate positive correlation. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between knowledge and the degree of compliance; greater knowledge leads to better compliance. Ultimately, when one variable increases, the other increases proportionally.

Uso de sistema informático empresarial y gestión de recursos en el área de control de calidad de un laboratorio cosmético Lima, Febrero 2021
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-10-06) Gallegos Diaz, Gisella Evelyn; Segura Vílchez, Tito Magno
The study used a deductive method, with a quantitative approach, a basic type, and a descriptive-correlational research design. The sample consisted of 80 people who work directly with the computer system. The instrument included two questionnaires, one for each variable, which were validated by three professional experts. Their reliability was measured with Cronbach's alpha, with results of 0.825 and 0.941, respectively. 43.8% of respondents stated that resources are always managed, while 51.3% said sometimes, and 5% said never. 82.5% always use the company's computer system, while 17.5% answered sometimes. The Chi-squared value was less than 0.05 (0.000), leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H1). It was therefore concluded that a relationship exists between the use of the company's computer system and resource management in the quality control area of a Cosmetic Laboratory in Lima in February 2021.
