Ítem Acceso abierto Work stress and quality of care of the nursing staff at the Huaycán hospital, Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-07-19) Soto Pérez, Jhasira Angie; Morillo Acasio, Berlina del RosarioThe objective of this research was "to determine how work stress is related to the quality of care in the nursing staff of a Hospital, Lima 2023". The methodology used was the hypothetical-deductive method, quantitative approach, applied with a non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 80 nursing professionals and 80 patients of the Huaycán Hospital, Lima 2023. The Nursing Stress Scale (NSS) was applied as an instrument to measure the level of work stress of the nurses, and the Nursing Care Quality Scale based on the SERVQUAL model was also applied to measure the quality of care. The results showed that 55% of the personnel presented a high level of work stress, while 47.5% of the patients reported that the quality of care provided by the nursing personnel was low. In addition, a Spearman correlation coefficient of -0.792 and a p-value of 0.000 were found, indicating a considerable and significant inverse correlation, which led to the conclusion that there is a statistically significant relationship between work stress and quality of care in nursing staff at the Huaycán hospital, Lima 2023.
