Publicación Acceso abierto Estrés y rendimiento académico de estudiantes del nivel secundario en San Juan de Lurigancho, 2025(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-10-20) Urbano Ventura, Cinthya Cristina; Paico Ruiz, Marcos JoséThe study analyzed the relationship between stress and academic performance among secondary school students in San Juan de Lurigancho in 2025. The research followed a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design. It involved a population of 512 students aged between 12 and 18 years, from which a sample of 330 participants was selected. Data collection was carried out using the SISCO Academic Stress Inventory and academic records to determine academic performance.The findings revealed that there is no significant relationship between academic performance and the dimensions of stressors (rho = -0.018; p > .05) or symptoms (rho = -0.051; p > .05). Likewise, no significant relationship was found between academic performance and the students' coping level (rho = -0.028; p > .05). It is concluded that students experience a moderate level of stress, which represents a common concern in this age group. Furthermore, only a small percentage showed low academic performance. Therefore, no relationship was observed between stress levels and academic performance in the studied population.
