Desarrollo y evaluación organoléptica, fisicoquímica y microbiológica de una crema dérmica que utiliza aceite esencial de Ricinus communis L. en Lima – 2024
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-06-27) Cumpa Quispe, Fany Ruth; Delgado Arenas, Carmen Loyoly; Villanueva Vílchez, Hugo Gilberto
The use of natural products in cosmetics has sparked growing interest due to their skin benefits and reduced environmental impact. Ricinus communis L., known as castor oil, is a plant whose seeds contain an essential oil with emollient, antimicrobial, and anti inflammatory properties. This study aimed to develop and conduct the organoleptic, physicochemical, and microbiological evaluation of a skin cream using Ricinus communis L. essential oil in Lima. Methodology: A hypothetical-deductive method was used, along with a mixed approach, a basic, experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive approach. Creams were developed with a 2% concentration of Ricinus communis L. essential oil. The evaluation included organoleptic, physicochemical, and microbiological tests in a pilot study of five 20 g bottles. Results: The cream has a homogeneous, creamy appearance, a whitish color, a semisolid texture with good structural stability, and acceptable sensory characteristics. Physicochemical analysis determined a pH of 4.32, slightly below the permitted range, but compatible with the natural pH of the skin, making it suitable for cosmetic use. Microbiological testing revealed the absence of molds and yeasts (<5 CFU/g) and a total viable mesophilic aerobic count within the established limits (5 CFU/g), ensuring the product's safety. Conclusion: The cream with Ricinus communis L. essential oil displayed adequate organoleptic and physicochemical characteristics and the absence of microbiological contamination, indicating its viability as a natural cosmetic product. These findings contribute to the development of safe and effective alternatives in natural cosmetics.

Factores relacionados a las buenas prácticas de prescripción de recetas dispensadas en farmacias externa del Hospital Sergio Bernales julio 2020 – diciembre 2020
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-06-13) Campos Taipe, Nadia Betzabe; Villanueva Vílchez, Hugo Gilberto
The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between factors and prescribing errors in prescriptions at the Sergio Bernales hospital in 2021. The study used a quantitative approach, with an applied type, a descriptive-correlational level, and a non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 328 prescriptions issued by healthcare professionals at the facility. The technique used was observation, and the instrument was a checklist validated by MINSA. Its reliability, determined via a pilot test using KR-21, yielded a score of 0.725, indicating good reliability. The results indicate that 63.1% of prescriptions had prescribing errors. Errors were predominant in prescriptions written by males at 55%, and there were more errors in prescriptions from non-specialist doctors. The hypothesis test using Chi-squared showed a significance value of 0.255, which led to the conclusion that no correlation exists between factors and prescribing errors in prescriptions issued at the Sergio Bernales hospital from July to December 2020.

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-25) Yauri Angeles, Jennifer Lizbeth; Jacinto Aguirre, Ruth Mary; Villanueva Vílchez, Hugo Gilberto
Objective: To assess the influence of educational intervention on the level of knowledge about COVID-19 prevention among mothers from a community kitchen in the district of Santa Rosa. The study used a deductive method with a quantitative, observational approach. The research was applied in nature, with a sample of 128 participants and probabilistic sampling. The technique used for data collection was a survey, and the instrument was a questionnaire. Results: The PRE-TEST demonstrated that 64% had a poor level of knowledge, 26.6% had a regular level, and 6% had a good level. Following the educational intervention (POST-TEST), the levels improved, with 18.8% achieving an excellent level, 57.8% a good level, and a decrease in the regular level to 7.2% and the poor level to 6.3%. Additionally, the knowledge improvement index among participants increased from 9.85 to 15.23, indicating that the educational intervention was effective. Conclusion: The educational intervention positively influences participants' level of knowledge.

Validación del método analítico por cromatografía líquida de alta performance para la cuantificación de nitazoxanida 100mg/ 5ml polvo para suspensión oral
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2015) Gomez Leon, Carmen Rosa; Ramos Silva, Hesica; Villanueva Vílchez, Hugo Gilberto
In this research work, the validation of an analytical method for Nitazoxanide 100 mg/5 mL powder for oral suspension was developed using the High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) technique. The validation of the method is an indispensable requirement for compliance with Good Laboratory Practices, since it provides reliability to the analytical results obtained in an analytical laboratory, in order to ensure that a medicine complies with the quality parameters established by USP 37. Once the working parameters were defined, the validation protocol of the developed method was carried out, which includes the experimental design and statistical procedures. The quality parameters employed in this validation are: Linearity, which measures the ability of the analytical method to provide results that are directly proportional to the concentration of the analyte, obtaining a correlation coefficient of r = 0.99960. Accuracy, which measures the closeness of the results obtained by this method, with an experimental t (0.633) that is lower than the tabulated t (2.306). Precision, which expresses the degree of agreement or dispersion of the results; the RSD values obtained were 0.697% for method repeatability and 0.913% for intermediate precision. Selectivity, which determines the ability of the method to unequivocally measure the Nitazoxanide content in the presence of other chemical substances that may be present in the sample or degradation products; in the chromatograms of Nitazoxanide, similar retention times were obtained for the sample and the standard. It was demonstrated that the validated analytical method is reproducible, reliable, and can be employed in routine analyses.
