(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-10-25) Chapoñán Chapoñán, Ana Maria; Zárate Cárdenas, Rosario
Objective: The relationship between nursing care and cross-cultural management in Critical HDM Services was determined. Methodology: study was quantitative, prospective, transversal and longitudinal; descriptive and observational, with a population of 90 nurses by inclusion and exclusion criteria. With 2 Likert-typerating scales, with the interview technique for nursing care and ethnographic observational for cross-cultural management. Results: two thirds (77.8%) of total nursing care divided between regular and deficient, two thirds (83.4%) predominates the total regular and excellent transcultural management, in the relation shown it indicates that (26.7%) is regular for both variables, direct type correlation, moderate level and highly significant among the variables (rho =, 238, p = 0.001). Conclusion: Therefore, the statistical evidence was enough to reject the null hypothesis of independence of the variables, proving that there is a direct relationship between them in the statistical limit. In other words, as the nursing care score rises, the crosscultural management score also, being at a mid-point; however, there may be no relationship, since when nursing care rises, the relationship with cultural competence is respected by significant correlation (p ≤ 0.05)

For data processing, the SPSS statistics 25 software was used, was used, and for hypothesis testing the Wilcoxon signed range test was used a non-parametric test to compare the average range of two related samples and determine if there are differences between before and after the Motivational Plans “LIDCOMA” was applied accepting values of p<0.05 as significant. Results: The demographic characteristics showed that two thirds of the INMP nurses were less than 40 years old; almost all of them were women; a little more than half were married; two thirds came from the coastal area; most of them had finished postgraduate studies; a little more than half were permanent nurses; and more than half had more than 5 years of service.
