    Occupational stress results mainly from unexpected situations or problems that require personal commitment; therefore, nursing staff often faces various stressors associated with occupational activities, which reduce work efficiency; in view of this, the present study aims to determine the relationship between the level of work stress and professional performance in nurses from the intensive care unit service of the EsSalud Luis Negreiros Vega-Callao Hospital II; having said that, the methodology that will be used will be under the quantitative approach, of non-experimental-cross-sectional design and correlational level; likewise, the sample will be equivalent to the same number of population, that is, it will work with 30 nursing professionals to whom a questionnaire will be applied for both variables.
