Results: 33.3% of the Drug Information Centers (CIMs) have been operating between 0-1 years and 6 or more years. 44.4% are affiliated with MINSA hospitals. 55.6% are financed by public institutions. 100% of professionals are Pharmaceutical Chemists. 55.6% of the monthly consultation numbers are fewer than 50. 55.6% of the consultant types are Pharmaceutical Chemists and Physicians. 77.8% have access to the PUBMED-MEDLINE and Micromedex databases. 66.7% have access to journals such as WHO technical reports, and 100% have access to books such as Goodman and Gilman's The Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics. 100% of the information sources consulted are databases. 66.7% provide specialized advice to their institution and participate in courses, conferences, and seminars. 44.3% indicate that mechanisms exist to share information with other CIMs. The Drug Information Centers in Metropolitan Lima comply with the majority of the guidelines from the PAHO 1997 Drug Information Guide and the DRUG-LA 2010 Guide for the Development and Operation of Drug Information Centers.Publicación Acceso abierto Nivel de conocimiento del uso terapeútico del Cannabis y acceso a la información científica en químicos farmaceúticos de Lima – 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-07-08) Arnao Melgarejo, Gilber Calixto; Peña Tizón, Percy; Félix Véliz, Luis Miguel VisitaciónThe objective was to determine the knowledge and access to scientific information on the therapeutic use of Cannabis among Pharmaceutical Chemists from CQFDL-2021. Methods: The study design was non-experimental, descriptive, and correlational, surveying 371 Pharmaceutical Chemists with 19 closed questions. Results: 65% of respondents are between 25 and 44 years old. Regarding the legal disposition of Law No. 31312 on the medicinal use of Cannabis, 90.8% indicated they agree or strongly agree. In terms of knowledge level, 50.1% scored well; upon reviewing the dimensions, it was observed that the chemical composition dimension had the highest percentage for the high level, at 52%. In the pharmacological use dimension, the medium level was the highest at 45%, and in the toxicology dimension, the medium level had the highest percentage at 46.1%. Concerning access to information sources, it was determined that they have limited access to scientific articles at 47.2%, limited access to conferences at 39.9%, and no access to workshops at 47.7%. In conclusion, there is a relationship between access to scientific information and the level of knowledge regarding the therapeutic use of cannabis in CQFDL-2021."
