Material and method: This research was applied, descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective and quantitative with a correlational design. A measurement was carried out using the research questionnaire "Relationship between knowledge and attitude of adolescent mothers in newborn care at the Belén de Trujillo Hospital 2016". The instrument consisted of 5 parts: General data of the mothers, general data of the newborn, Instructions, Content of the dimensions being dimensions personal satisfaction, equanimity, feeling good alone, self-confidence. The application is personal in an approximate time of 30 minutes. The research questionnaire "attitude towards newborn care in first-time mothers who attend the Ascensión Huancavelica Health Center 2019" was also used. The instrument consisted of 5 parts: General information about the mothers, general information about the newborn, instructions, content of the 3 dimensions, being cognitive attitude, affective attitude and behavioral attitude. The application is personal and takes approximately 30 minutes. Result: It has not yet been verified until its application. Regarding the RESEARCH METHODOLOGY, it is established that the method is hypothetical - deductive, with a quantitative approach, it is also applied, its design is not experimental, cross-sectional and correlational level. On the other hand, there is a sample of 80 adolescent mothers with infants under 6 months of age who are cared for in the aforementioned establishment; it is important to indicate that, to obtain said sample, there was no need to use any formula, since the population is small, this being the same as the sample. On the other hand, an instrument will be used for each variable, that is, a questionnaire for “biopsychosocial factors” with a validity of 81.90% and a Cronbach's Alpha confidence of 0.521 and another questionnaire for the “practice of exclusive breastfeeding”, with a validity of 97.52% and a Cronbach's Alpha confidence of 0.723. Metodología: El estudio será hipotético deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicado, diseño no experimental, corte transversal y correlacional. It is a study whose design is a qualitative systematic review. The population was made up of 60 and the sample was 20 scientific articles. The technique used was systematic reviews of scientific articles published between 2011 and 2020 in the databases, developed under the PICO methodology. Regarding the studies, it was found that they cause a significant reduction in the prevalence of low hemoglobin levels at or near the end of pregnancy, their daily or intermittent administration of oral iron with ferrous sulfate in both groups showed good results. but there is not enough data on the change in its recommended administration modality for its treatment. In relation to the value of the quality of the evidence according to the Grade system, it shows that 95% is of high quality, obtained from PUBMED (50%), Google academic (45%) and SCIELO (5%). Materials and Methods: The study was cross-sectional, descriptive, and observational. The population consisted of 50 adolescent mothers who were administered two instruments, the first being a family functionality questionnaire with 32 statements, and the second a checklist for practices, with 26 items. Results: Regarding family functioning, 58% (29) of the adolescent mothers surveyed reported functional family functioning, while 42% (21) reported dysfunctional family functioning. Regarding the newborn care practices of the adolescent mothers, 64% (32) reported appropriate practices, and 36% (18) reported inadequate practices. Conclusions: The majority of adolescent mothers showed functional family functioning, particularly in areas of family structure, conflict resolution, and emotional environment. Most adolescent mothers had adequate practices in newborn care, including dressing, hygiene, identification of warning signs, rest and sleep, breastfeeding, and urination and bowel movements. On the other hand, 45% of child deaths are related to malnutrition at an objective global level. “To determine how the level of knowledge of adolescent mothers is related to the breastfeeding practices of the rooming-in service”, in this research the method to be used will be hypothetical deductive, with a non-experimental, correlational and transversal design. 90 teenage mothers will participate in this study, in addition, the instrument will be applied to them during their stay in the shared accommodation service of the Vitarte hospital. The sample will be a census so no sampling will be applied, the instruments to be used are validated. It is known that these mothers will transition from being daughters to becoming mothers, and getting pregnant does not guarantee that they will reach physical and emotional maturity. Objective: To determine the relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent mothers regarding newborn care at home. Material and Method: This study is quantitative, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 71 postpartum adolescent mothers discharged from the Gyneco-Obstetrics Service at the National Teaching Hospital for Women and Children San Bartolomé between May and August 2015. To assess knowledge, a questionnaire validated through expert judgment and the binomial test was applied. The reliability was tested using the KR 20 test, and attitudes were evaluated using the Likert scale, whose validity and reliability were determined through expert judgment and Cronbach’s Alpha. Results: In evaluating the level of knowledge, 59.2% had medium knowledge, 23.9% had low knowledge, and 16.9% had high knowledge. Regarding attitudes, 56.3% exhibited indifference, 25.4% acceptance, and 18.3% rejection. Conclusion: It was concluded that there is no relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent mothers regarding newborn care, as they possess medium to low knowledge and show an indifferent attitude towards the newborn.Ítem Acceso abierto knowledge and practice of breastfeeding in adolescent mothers at the los olivos de pro health center, los Olivos, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-03-13) Del Rosario Retuerto, Ana Manuela; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaObjective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practice of breastfeeding in adolescent mothers. Technique and instruments for data collection: a survey will be used as the questionnaire for the knowledge variable and for the practice variable it will be the observation where a guide will be applied. Breastfeeding saves life without a doubt is an element that contributes to the economic development of the population, reducing the rates of malnutrition and prevalent diseases as it is a public health problem. It is one of the millennium developments goals that states must address as a right to health of the child population, strengthening knowledge and correct practice that mothers must follow to improve their adherence. Objective: Determine the relationship between knowledge and practice of exclusive breastfeeding in adolescent mothers from the joint accommodation service of the San José de Chincha Hospital, 2022.Methodology: a hypothetical deductive, descriptive, cross-correlational method will be used, with the participation of 80 adolescent mothers from the joint accommodation service. The technique used is the survey and observation, the instruments are valid and reliable, the questionnaire for knowledge and the observation guide are used to evaluate the practice of exclusive breastfeeding. The data processing is carried out through descriptive and inferential statistical analysis applying the SPSS 25.0 program for which we will apply the Spearman test. The sample will be made up of 80 adolescent mothers who attend DIRIS Lima Centro health facilities, during the months of August, September and October of 2022. In addition, the inclusion criteria will be pregnant mothers who attend the Santa Rosa Health Center. of Lima, Villa María Perpetuo Socorro Health Center and Rescate Health Post, pregnant adolescent mothers from 14 to 17 years of age, adolescent mothers who speak Spanish, and adolescent mothers whose parents have signed the informed consent, which will endorse their participation in the research. To collect the information, the survey will be used and the instrument will be the questionnaire. This should be fostered, considering that 13% of the total population are infants under one year old, and insufficient knowledge among mothers regarding early stimulation could lead to problems in their growth and development. The present research study, titled "Knowledge of Adolescent Mothers on Early Stimulation for Infants under One Year of Age in the CRED Service at San Bartolomé Hospital, May-August 2011," aimed to determine the level of knowledge of adolescent mothers regarding early stimulation for infants under one year of age. It is a quantitative study with a descriptive method and a cross-sectional design. A non-probabilistic intentional sampling method was used; the sample size consisted of 70 mothers included in the study. The technique employed was the interview, with a questionnaire as the instrument, which was validated through expert judgment and subjected to a pilot test for statistical reliability. Subsequently, the data collection was carried out, and the data were processed to be presented in statistical graphs for analysis and interpretation, leading to the following conclusion: adolescent mothers of infants under one year of age attending the CRED service have an average level of knowledge regarding early stimulation activities.Publicación Acceso abierto Nivel de conocimiento de las madres adolescentes y sus prácticas de lactancia materna, en el Centro Materno Infantil César López Silva de Lima, 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-11-10) Santolalla Estares, Nataly Victoria; Barrios Cabello, Lucimar JosefinaLa presente investigación tuvo como propósito “analizar la relación del nivel de conocimiento con la práctica de lactancia materna, en madres adolescentes del C.M.I. “César López Silva” de Villa el Salvador, Lima, 2024”. Se empleó el método hipotético-deductivo y el enfoque cuantitativo, siendo una investigación de tipo pura, con diseño no experimental, transversal y correlacional. Se empleó un muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple, constituyéndose una muestra de 87 madres adolescentes, a las que se les aplicó un cuestionario y una ficha de observación como instrumentos de recolección de datos. Los resultados indican que existe relación significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre LM y las prácticas de LM (Rho = .856; p < .001), lo mismo que entre esta última y las dimensiones del conocimiento sobre LM, a saber, conceptos sobre la LM (Rho = .801; p < .001), beneficios de la LM (Rho = .788; p < .001), técnica para amamantar (Rho = .817; p < .001) y extracción manual de la leche materna (Rho = .799; p < .001). La encuesta y la observación se usaran como técnica de recolección de datos como instrumentos un cuestionario y una guia de observación, validados y confiables (Alfa de Cronbach de 0.800 y 0.740). Se tabularán los datos para elaborar la base de datos con Excel y luego será procesado estadísticamente con el programa SPSS 25.0, analizando con estadística descriptiva e inferencial, donde se evaluará el grado de relación entre ambas variables mediante el coeficiente de Spearman, que dará respuesta al objetivo planteado. Métodos: Se empleará una metodología aplica, cuantitativa, diseño no experimental de corte transversal, se tuvo como población a 84 madres adolescentes de 14 a 19 años en un hospital de Lima, 2024. Con la finalidad de recopilar la información se usará el método de la encuesta y la observación a través de dos instrumentos un cuestionario y una guia de observación. Tras su implementación, se procederá a recopilar información que será organizada y registrada en una matriz de datos, la cual será analizada mediante técnicas estadísticas utilizando el software SPSS 25.0. El análisis incluirá métodos descriptivos e inferenciales, aplicándose en este último caso el coeficiente Rho de Spearman, una prueba destinada a confirmar la validez y confiabilidad de las hipótesis planteadas. Esto permitirá elaborar las conclusiones derivadas de la evaluación de los fenómenos de la investigación.Ítem Acceso abierto Risk of low birth weight in infants born to adolescent mothers versus adult mothers(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-12-16) Abrego Botin, Elizabeth Haydee; Márquez Vivanco, Delia Esther; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioSystematic observational and retrospective quantitative review of 10 articles, subjected to critical selection, using the Grade evaluation system to identify the degree of evidence, found in the following databases: Scielo, Lilacs, Medline, Bvs and Pubmed. Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 60% (n=6/10) are cohort studies, 30% (n= 3/10) are case-control studies and 10% (n= 1/10) are systematic review studies. According to the results obtained from the systematic review carried out in the present study, the articles come from Chile (20%), Brazil (20%), Sub-Saharan Africa (20%), Colombia (10%), England (10%), Peru (10%) and Mexico (10%). Likewise, of the evidence found, 80% (n=8/10) agree that children born to adolescent mothers have low birth weight and 20% (n=2/10) of studies demonstrate that there was no difference between newborns of teenage mothers in relation to children of mothers over 20 years of age. There is a risk of low birth weight in children born to teenage mothers, which leads to having lower anthropometric development in the future.Publicación Acceso abierto Sesiones virtuales de psicoprofilaxis obstétrica en adolescentes atendidas en C.M.I El Progreso, marzo - abril 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-11-11) Samame Arrieta, Cyndi Cecilia; Reyes Serrano, Bertha NathalyObjetivo: Educar a gestantes adolescentes mediante las Sesiones Virtuales de Psicoprofilaxis Obstétrica en el C.M.I. El Progreso, Marzo-Abril 2023. Métodos: Estudio observacional y descriptivos con gestantes adolescentes. Resultado: Las 3 adolescentes se encuentran en el tercer trimestre de gestación con 2 controles prenatales, en la actualidad están más informadas, preparadas y adaptadas a los cambios durante el embarazo. Las adolescentes estuvieron participativas y puntuales en las sesiones virtuales de psicoprofilaxis, el inconveniente que existió fue que una gestante permaneció con cámara apagada en todas las sesiones. Emocionalmente manifiestan haber fortalecido el vínculo con el niño por nacer e involucrado a la pareja, manifiestan sentirse motivadas con sentir los movimientos del bebe. Conclusión: Las gestantes adolescentes manifiestan encontrarse empoderadas para la maternidad, preparadas para el parto humanizado y la lactancia materna.
