Ítem Acceso abierto Addiction to social networks and aggressiveness in students of a regular basic education school, Apurímac – 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-05-03) Ramírez Rojas, Lucho Hernando; Turriate Chávez, Jairo JaimeThe objective of this research was to determine the relationship between social media addiction and aggressiveness in students attending regular basic education in Apurímac – 2023. This study followed a quantitative approach, with descriptive and correlational levels, and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The Social Media Addiction Questionnaire (ARS) and the Aggressiveness Questionnaire (AQ) were administered to 248 secondary school students. A weak positive correlation was found, with a Pearson coefficient (r) of 0.246 and a bilateral significance value (Sig) of 0.000. This indicates a statistically significant, although not very strong, connection between social media addiction and aggressiveness. The results confirm the existence of a relationship between social media addiction and aggressiveness in students attending regular basic education in Apurímac – 2023. As social media addiction increases, aggressiveness tends to increase as well, although the relationship is not very strong.Ítem Acceso abierto Emotional dependence and aggressiveness in young adults from the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-13) Sosa Guillén, Johan Luis; Paico Ruiz, Marcos JoséThe objective of this research was to determine the relationship between emotional dependence and aggression in young adults from the district of San Juan de Lurigancho. The study type is descriptive correlational, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design and non-probabilistic sampling, with a sample of 176 young adults (94 men and 82 women) aged 18 to 30 years. The instruments used were the Emotional Dependence Questionnaire "CDE" (2006) and the Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire "AQ," Peruvian adaptation (2012). The results showed a direct and significant correlation between both variables (rho = 0.318, p < 0.00), meaning that young adults who exhibit emotional dependence tend to express aggressive behaviors, aiming to hurt others physically, psychologically, or sexually.Ítem Acceso abierto Parenting styles and aggressiveness in high school students of a public educational institution in Metropolitan Lima, 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-09-25) Ruiz Rojas, Gorbyn Voreny; La Torre Calderón, Helarf RogelioThe main objective of the research was to determine the relationship between parenting styles, expressed as authoritative, permissive, neglectful, authoritarian, and mixed, with aggression in secondary school students from a public educational institution in Metropolitan Lima, 2020. The methodology used was a quantitative approach of descriptive and correlational type, with a non-experimental design and cross-sectional nature. Data was collected using the Steinberg Parenting Styles Scale and the Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire. The total population consisted of 221 students, from 1st to 5th grade of secondary school, both sexes, ranging from 11 to 18 years old. The results determined that there is no relationship between parenting styles and aggression. It was also found that 81.4% of the students exhibited an authoritative style, 10% a permissive style, and 7.7% a mixed style. Most students presented a medium level of aggression (39.4%), using verbal aggression the most. It was concluded that as the scores on the commitment and behavioral control dimensions increase, aggression decreases.
