The population 78 articles, the sample 10 scientific articles, as an instrument the following databases: PubMed, Elsevier and Wiley One Library, 30% (n= 3/10) were systematic reviews, 10% (n= 1/10 ) meta-analysis, 20% (n= 2/10) experimental, 20% (n= 2/10) cohorts, 10% (n= 1/10) case study and controls, 10% (n= 1/10) case series, according to the quality of the evidence it was found to be high in 60% and low in 40%, according to the strength of the strong recommendation in 60% and weak by 40%. Depending on the country, the investigations were carried out corresponding to the United States 30%, Germany 20%, Canada 20%, France 10%, Poland 10% and the United Kingdom 10% respectively. Results: Of the articles, 70% (n = 7/10) point out the effectiveness of airway management with supraglottic devices in pediatric emergency patients, while 30% (n = 3/10) point out the effectiveness of Supraglottic devices versus other devices in airway management in emergency pediatric patients. Conclusion: From the 10 articles reviewed, it is concluded that supraglottic devices are effective in managing the airway in emergency pediatric patients.Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practices of nursing staff on management of artificial airway in Intensive Care Unit, Hospital Cañete 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-04-30) Tasayco Tasayco, Fany Selene; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo AmadoThe professional licensed in nursing whose career based on scientific evidence is currently prepared with a more complex approach, in different areas and stages of life, for which in the present project it intends to demonstrate the capacities, abilities and skills of the professional nurse in the units of intensive care, avoiding injurious complications in the patient, whose objective was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practices of the nursing staff in the management of the airway in the intensive care unit and thus demonstrate the skills and extensive information that nursing care work entails in a Cañete hospital. Through the hypothetical deductive method, whose quantitative approach will demonstrate a numerical measurement to verify the relationship between the variables, for which it is concluded that there is a broad relationship between the knowledge of the nursing professional and the practices in the management of the airway, in intensive units.
