Material and Methods: A systematic, observational, and retrospective review of a quantitative nature, subjected to critical evaluation using the GRADE assessment method to indicate the level of evidence. The articles were found in the following databases: PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scielo, Wiley Online Library, Elsevier, and Epistemonikos. Of the 10 articles reviewed, 40% (n=4/10) are systematic reviews, 10% (n=1/10) is a meta-analysis, 20% (n=2/10) are cross-sectional reviews, 20% (n=2/10) are prospective reviews, and 10% (n=1/10) is a case-control study. According to the evaluation of the systematic review, the articles came from Cuba, followed by Spain and Mexico. Results: All the evaluations found (100%, n=10/10) indicate that arteriovenous fistulas cause fewer complications than a venous catheter. Material and Methods: The review was carried out by searching the databases: PubMed, Scielo and Cochrane EBE, which have been selected and analyzed using the Grade system to locate the respective degree of evidence. Using the articles used the DECS and MESH descriptors for the search in Spanish and English respectively. While 10% mention that there is no difference regarding the effectiveness of both puncture techniques. Material and methods: Systematic observational and retrospective quantitative review, subjected to critical selection, using the Grade evaluation system to identify the degree of evidence, found in the following databases: Decs, PubMed, Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo, Elsevier. Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 50% (n= 5/10) are meta-analyses, 40% (n= 4/10) are cohort studies and 10% (n= 1/10) are case studies and controls. According to the results obtained from the systematic review carried out in the present study, they come from the countries of Brazil (20%), followed by the USA (20%), Taiwan (20%), Georgia (10%), Switzerland (10%). %), Canada (10%) and Greece (10%). Results: Likewise, of the evidence found, 100% (n=10/10) indicate that the prevention of infections in patients with AVF access is more effective than CVCP in patients with chronic kidney disease. The population consisted of 38, and the sample included 10 articles. The instruments used were Lilacs, Scielo, Cochrane Plus, Pubmed, Medline, Epistemonikos, Elsevier. Results: Of the total articles, 70% show that nursing care such as assessment, cannulation method, choice of needle fistulas, and evaluation of risks and complications regarding the arteriovenous fistula are effective in ensuring vascular access preservation. Additionally, 30% of the articles highlight the importance of the knowledge imparted by nephrology nursing professionals to the patient, aiming to improve and promote self-care. Conclusions: Of the 10 articles, 7 conclude that nursing care for the arteriovenous fistula is effective, allowing the fistula's survival time to be prolonged for patient treatment. Of the remaining 3 articles, they emphasize that the knowledge level of the healthcare personnel is essential and should be passed on to patients, improving their self-care and increasing the quality of life. Material and methods: This is a Systematic Review of 20 articles in the database GOOGLE ACADEMICO, SCIELO, MEDLINE, whose search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the selected articles were subjected to a critical reading, using the evaluation of Jover to identify its degree of evidence. Results: It was found that the patients' level of AVF self-care knowledge was high in 15 articles. In 3 studies it was found that they have a low level of knowledge and in 1 a regular level of knowledge. Through this systematic review it can be stated that the increase in knowledge generates positive and lasting changes in behaviors or care practices for arteriovenous fistula, avoiding the most frequent complications, such as loss of the fistula, infections. It is necessary to emphasize self-care since it allows the person to have autonomy when acting to maintain their health. Results: Of the total of 10 articles, 50% (n=5) are systematic reviews, 10% (n=1) are randomized controlled clinical trials, 10% (n=1) are cohort, 20% (n=2) They are analytical cross-sectional, 10% (n=1) are cases and controls. Of the 60% (n=06/10) of the articles in general, they show that the buttonhole puncture technique for arteriovenous fistula is effective compared to other techniques, in patients with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis. Conclusion: 60% (n=06/10) of the articles show that the buttonhole puncture technique is effective, compared to other techniques, in patients with chronic kidney disease and arteriovenous fistula on hemodialysis, of which 20% corresponds to the minor hemostasis time, 29% to a decrease in pain and 11% to a decrease in infections. The study is quantitative, applied, nonexperimental, transitional and hypothetical-deductive method. The sample consists of 40 patients suffering from end-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD) who are carriers of arteriovenous fistula, whose care is outpatient to provide hemodialysis therapy who come to the Kidney Clinic. In this opportunity two instruments will be used such as the questionnaire to measure knowledge and an observation guide for the practice of self-care, both instruments are validated with high reliability by means of the Cronbach’s coefficient, corresponding to the self-care knowledge questionnaire with a value of 0.819 and for the observation guide that measures the practice of self-care; 0.826. Its importance is of high impact, because if there is no adequate knowledge for self-care of the arteriovenous fistula, infections, bleeding, interruption of hemodialysis or other adverse events could occur that would harm their treatment or complicate their health status. Objective: to relate knowledge and self-care of arteriovenous fistula in patients with chronic kidney disease from a type III hospital in Callao, 2022. Material and method: it will be a quantitative, basic, observational-non-experimental, cross-sectional research with a correlational scope. The sample will be 60 patients. Instrument 1 will be the questionnaire to measure the knowledge variable, prepared by Jesús K, with adequate validity, 99.4 and reliability of 0.724 measured by Cronbach's Alpha. Instrument 2 is the questionnaire to measure the variable self-care of arteriovenous fistula developed by Mamani D, with a reliability of 0.85 measured by Cronbach's Alpha. The instruments will be administered in person, after the participants have accepted by signing the informed consent. Data collection techniques and instruments: The technique used will be a survey on the study variable, and the instrument will assess the level of knowledge regarding the self-care of AV fistulas. Procedures: Data collection will take place over one month at the clinic. Once the data is collected, SPSS version 25 will be used to input all the acquired data.
