The purpose of the study was to determine the level of knowledge and attitude of nursing students at the Instituto Superior Arzobispo Loayza (main campus) regarding tooth avulsion and fracture, Lima 2016. A prospective and cross-sectional study was conducted. A total of 185 sixth-cycle nursing students were evaluated. The assessment was done using a questionnaire with 18 questions about knowledge and attitude levels on tooth avulsion and fracture. The results were analyzed using the chi-square test and the Gamma coefficient. The results showed that 63.8% and 36.2% of nursing students had deficient and average knowledge levels, respectively, regarding tooth avulsion and fracture. Regarding age group and sex, the knowledge level was deficient, particularly in 69.6% of those aged 28 and older, in 64.2% of females, and in 60.9% of males. It was concluded that the knowledge level regarding tooth avulsion and fracture was deficient, and the attitude was undecided regarding both avulsion and dental fracture.

La presente investigación tiene como Objetivo: Identificar la relación entre la actitud de la madre y el cumplimiento del esquema de inmunizaciones en niños menores de 5 años del hospital de emergencias de villa el salvador, 2023. Asimismo, en la investigación se empleará el método hipotético – deductivo, será de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicativa, correlacional, de corte transversal, no experimental y de diseño observacional. La muestra a aplicar en la investigación estará compuesta por 217 individuos a quienes se les aplicará con técnicas la encuesta mediante la aplicación de cuestionarios y lista de cotejos validados y confirmadas; los 2 instrumentos pueden ser aplicados a las personas que cumplan con los criterios de inclusión y puedan ser parte de la muestra de estudio, por la cual podemos luego procesar a través del programa estadístico SPSS todos los resultados de cada dimensión de las variables de estudio y posterior a estas ser presentados mediante gráficos y tablas.

Actitudes y prácticas preventivas frente al cáncer de cuello uterino en mujeres atendidas en el Centro de Salud Santa María de Huachipa, 2024

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre las actitudes y prácticas preventivas frente al cáncer de cuello uterino en mujeres atendidas en el Centro de Salud Santa María de Huachipa, 2024. Metodología: Hipotético - deductivo, de tipo básica, enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo, diseño no experimental, correlacional y corte transversal. El instrumento es un cuestionario, con una muestra de 92 mujeres. Resultados: Respecto a las características sociodemográficas, se registró que el 68.5% son menores de 35 años, el 57.6% son convivientes, el 62% tienen educación secundaria y el 58.7% se desempeña como ama de casa. En cuanto a las actitudes, el 53.3% presentó una actitud medianamente favorable, mientras que el 9.8% presentó una actitud desfavorable. Con respecto a las prácticas preventivas, el 87% presentaron una buena práctica y el 13% una mala práctica. En relación a la práctica preventiva primaria, el 79.3% presentó una buena práctica y el 20.7% una mala práctica. Por último, en práctica preventiva secundaria, el 81.5% presentó una buena práctica y solo el 18.5% una mala práctica. Conclusión: Sí existe una relación significativa entre las actitudes y las prácticas preventivas frente al cáncer del cuello uterino en mujeres atendidas en el Centro de Salud Santa María de Huachipa, 2024.

Association between knowledge and attitudes about breast cancer in women who attend the output gynecology office at the Central Hospital PNP Luis N Saenz, 2024

The objective is to determine the association between knowledge and attitudes towards breast cancer in women attending the gynecology outpatient clinic at the Central PNP Luis N. Saenz Hospital in 2024. Methodology: The study has a quantitative, analytical, and cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of women aged 18 to 60 years, and the sample included 286 women attending the gynecology outpatient clinic at the Central PNP Luis N. Saenz Hospital in 2024. Results: The predominant knowledge level was high, reaching 87.2%, while 80.4% of women showed positive attitudes. Conclusion: The study found an association between high knowledge and positive attitudes (P<0.001), showing a 73% higher likelihood (RPa 1.73; IC95% 1.34-2.34; p<0.01) of women exhibiting positive attitudes towards breast cancer.

The general objective of this article project was to determine the relationship between attitude and adherence to vaccination of mothers of children under 5 years of age. A study was carried out with a quantitative approach, correlational, prospective and cross-sectional, the sample consisted of 200 users selected in a simple random probabilistic manner. To collect the data, the survey technique was applied, the instrument for attitude was a questionnaire prepared according to the Likert scale that consists of 15 closed questions with multiple alternatives, following the presentation of the variables under study, having as a scale of answers (never, almost never, sometimes, always, almost always), the binomial test will be applied (p<0.05), in the same way for Adherence the questionnaire prepared according to the Likert scale that consists of 25 questions will be used. closed with multiple alternatives, following the presentation of the variables under study, having as a response scale (never, almost never, sometimes, always, almost always), where the binomial test was applied (p<0.05). Attitude of mothers and the supply of micronutrients in children from 6 to 35 months in a health center, Lima-2023

The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship that exists between the level of attitude and the adherence of mothers to the supply of micronutrients in children from 6 to 35 months of a Health Center in Lima in the year 2023. The study It has a Methodology with a quantitative approach, applied, with a non-experimental, correlational cross-sectional design, of a hypothetical deductive method. The sample consisted of 100 mothers of children from 6 to 35 months. The instrument used for the first variable is the mothers' attitude test, developed and validated by Taype (2019), consisting of 25 items. The other instrument that was used for the second variable Micronutrient Supply is the Adherence tab instrument and the questionnaire, made up of 15 items and created in the same way by Taype in 2019. The final data will be entered into an Excell 2021 database, then it will be transferred to the SPSS version 27 program, to carry out the descriptive statistics and represent them in tables and figures; In addition to the inferential statistics which will allow the testing of the hypotheses and thus determine if there is a relationship between the variables, for this the non-parametric test of Spearman's Rho will be applied and to see the correlation the chi-square and ensuring informed consent, ethical aspects of participation prior approval of the same.

Objective: To determine the attitude of nursing professionals toward the death of a patient in critical care services during the pandemic. Materials and methods: This study is quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional. The design is non-experimental because the variable will not be deliberately manipulated. The data collection technique used will be a survey. To measure the main variable, the CAM-1 Attitudes Toward Death Questionnaire will be used.

Attitude towards newborn care and resilience in adolescent mothers at a Health Center in Lima.

Objective: To determine the relationship between attitude towards newborn care and resilience in adolescent mothers attending a health center in Lima, 2022. Material and method: This research was applied, descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective and quantitative with a correlational design. A measurement was carried out using the research questionnaire "Relationship between knowledge and attitude of adolescent mothers in newborn care at the Belén de Trujillo Hospital 2016". The instrument consisted of 5 parts: General data of the mothers, general data of the newborn, Instructions, Content of the dimensions being dimensions personal satisfaction, equanimity, feeling good alone, self-confidence. The application is personal in an approximate time of 30 minutes. The research questionnaire "attitude towards newborn care in first-time mothers who attend the Ascensión Huancavelica Health Center 2019" was also used. The instrument consisted of 5 parts: General information about the mothers, general information about the newborn, instructions, content of the 3 dimensions, being cognitive attitude, affective attitude and behavioral attitude. The application is personal and takes approximately 30 minutes. Result: It has not yet been verified until its application. Conclusion: It needs to be applied to reach a conclusion.

Attitudes of mothers of children under 1 to 5 years of age regarding poor nutrition in a health center in the Cercado de Lima district, 2019

Objective: Determine the attitudes of mothers of children under 1 to 5 years of age regarding poor nutrition in a Health center in the Cercado district of Lima, 2019. Methodology: Descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective study in 81 mothers of children under 1 to 5 years old attended at a health center in the Cercado district of Lima - 2019. The survey was used with the Cisneros & Vallejos questionnaire previously validated within of an educational intervention evaluation. This instrument has 15 questions with three categories with scoring Results: Of the total, a favorable attitude of the mothers was determined where 55 (68.2%) agreed with the questionnaire items, 21 (25.7%) were indifferent and 5 (6.1%) disagreed with the study items. The most frequent age group was 16 to 20 years old (29.6%), then the 21 to 25 year old age group (27.2%). Forty-four (54.3%) mothers had 1 child and 55 (67.9%) mothers completed secondary school. Conclusions: Favorable attitudes of mothers of children under 1 to 5 years of age regarding poor nutrition were determined in a Health center in the Cercado district of Lima, 2019.

Clinical characteristics and factors associated with breast cancer

In the study, 31% of the reviewed articles used a cohort methodology. Regarding the clinical characteristics of women with breast cancer according to the studies: 27% reported severe pain, 21% mentioned redness, 16% indicated foul-smelling discharge, 11% reported nipple retraction, 7% found reduced sexual activity, 5% reported reduced physical activity, 5% mentioned fatigue, 2% mentioned reduced pleasure, 2% reported hair loss, 2% mentioned insomnia, and 2% reported increased nipple thickness. The associated factors according to the studies were: age over 35 years, harmful habits (alcohol and tobacco consumption), environmental radiation, secondary education level, body mass index greater than 30 kg/m², nulliparity, hormonal treatment, lack of interest in the disease, and lack of medical attention.

Para el desarrollo de la investigación se considera el objetivo será “Determinar cómo se relaciona el conocimiento sobre infecciones respiratorias agudas y la actitud en madres de niños menores de 5 años que asisten a los consultorios externos de Pediatría del Hospital Nacional de Lima ,2024”. Diseño metodológico: enfoque cuantitativo, correlacional y no experimental, utilizando un método deductivo hipotético. La población estará conformada por las 240 madres de niños menores de 5 años que asisten a los consultorios externos de Pediatría del Hospital Nacional de Lima. La muestra considera al total poblacional (estudio censal). Instrumentos: Será un cuestionario, para ambas variables, estos instrumentos tomados de la investigación de Díaz, quien lo creo y realizó en Perú en el año 2021. Para la validación fueron aprobados por el juicio de expertos en enfermería en ambas variables y para la confiabilidad mediante el coeficiente alfa de Cronbach; la fiabilidad fue de 0,494 para la primera variable y 0,409 para la segunda variable. Se procesarán los datos de cada una de las variables del estudio y se correlacionarán mediante la prueba de Spearman.

Early contact of the newborn in the neonatology service, in a maternal and child center, Lima 2019

Early contact between mother and child creates and promotes the emotional bond, continuously increasing maternal self-esteem, reducing anxiety, improving the feeling of acceptance in the new role and satisfaction during the birth process, therefore, it is essential in the development and survival of the newborn. That is why the objective of this research is; determine the level of early contact of the newborn in the neonatology service in a maternal and child center, Lima, 2019. Regarding the study methodology, the type is descriptive, cross-sectional, non-experimental design, we will work with a population of 92 mothers, also being a minimum amount, we will work with the 92 mothers as a sample. Regarding the instruments, an observation sheet consisting of 14 items will be used. In the data analysis, the statistical programs Excell 2013 and Spss with version 25.0 will be used to prepare frequency tables and bar graphs for the presentation of results, thereby providing the conclusions and recommendations of the case. .

Effectiveness of an educational intervention in children to improve the level of knowledge, attitudes and practices about washing hands before consuming food

Objective: Analyze the Effectiveness of an educational intervention in children to improve knowledge, attitudes and practices of hand hygiene before consuming food, interventions to improve healthy lifestyles. Materials and Methods: Simple, observational systematic verification of research results, identifying relevant studies to answer specific questions of community practice. The search was based on complete articles, which were used in critical reading, using the grade system to assign the strength of suggestion. The articles are: Israel 10% (01/10), Cuba 10% (01/10) Ethiopia 10% (01/10) Mexico 20% (02/10) Venezuela 10% (01/10) Spain 10% (01 /10) Australia 10% (01/10) Nepal 10% (01/10) and Brazil 10% (01/10). Results: The results related to hand washing before eating food indicate that not all children have the knowledge, adequate practices and hygiene materials required for adequate hygiene, therefore there will not be a complete and effective activity for the practice. healthy. Conclusions: The effectiveness of the level of knowledge, practices and attitudes about hand washing before eating food prevents diseases in children and their caregivers, is reflected in hygiene and hand washing practices.

Effectiveness of psychoeducation in family acceptance of patients with mental disorders

Objective: Determine the effectiveness of psychoeducation in family acceptance of patients with mental disorders. Material and Method: This study was carried out based on systematic reviews that are an observational and retrospective research design, which synthesizes the results of multiple primary investigations. And it is constituted by the bibliographic review of 10 scientific articles published and indexed in scientific databases, no older than ten years and that respond to articles published in Spanish. Data collection was carried out through a bibliographic review of both national and international research articles, whose main topic was psychoeducation for families with mental disorders. Results: it was determined that 90% of the families who received psychocoeducation improved their family member's acceptance since it allowed them to better understand the disease and respond appropriately to its manifestations, promoting clinical improvement and adherence to treatment. Conclusions: Psychoeducation improves the attitude of families towards mental illness, achieving acceptance by the family member, greatly improving the quality of life and health for this group of patients.

Effectiveness of the attitudes of emergency nursing staff in the care and stabilization of patients who self-injure

The present work unfolds around the attitudes of emergency nursing staff towards patients who self-harm, a situation that has taken on global dimensions due to its high incidence and the impact it has on a personal, family, and social level. Even more so, considering that this type of act can lead to death. In this regard, attending to people who have caused themselves some form of self-harm is not only unavoidable but can become an important reference aimed at taking the necessary preventive measures to avoid the act of suicide, with some of the most prominent factors being the harmful use of alcohol, the stigmatization they receive for seeking help, childhood abuse, barriers to receiving timely attention, and the indiscriminate access to various means of self-harm. From this perspective, it is essential to consider that one of the main missions of nursing staff is the comprehensive care of the patient, especially in the emergency setting, where there is greater vulnerability and risk of serious sequelae or loss of life. Therefore, it is crucial that the care provided by nurses guarantees patient safety, avoiding stigmatizing attitudes that may make the patient feel more vulnerable. The design used for this work was a systematic review, based on the GRADE evaluation system, which allows for the evaluation of the quality of evidence from the selected articles from the following databases: PubMed, ScienceDirect, EBSCO, and Epistemonikos. The reviewed articles showed the effectiveness of the attitudes of emergency nursing staff in the care and stabilization of self-harming patients.

Efficacy of an educational intervention on hand washing in the prevention of hospital-acquired infection

Objective: Determine the effectiveness of an educational intervention on hand washing in the prevention of hospital-acquired infection in health personnel. Methodology: This is a systematic review, whose search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the selected articles were subjected to critical reading to identify their level of evidence. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, finding that 40% (04) correspond to Spain, 30% (03) to Mexico, 10% (01) correspond to Brazil, Colombia and Cuba respectively. Mostly non-experimental studies have been examined, with 50%, mainly in the countries of Spain, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil. Pre and quasi-experimental with 40%, in the countries of Cuba, Spain and Mexico; With meta-analytic information, 10% was found; belonging to Spain. Of the total articles analyzed, 80% agree that educational interventions on handwashing are effective in health personnel. Conclusion: Effectiveness is shown in terms of increased knowledge, changes in attitude and behavior in a lasting manner, ensuring compliance with international protocols and standards for the prevention and control of hospital-acquired infection, thus reducing nosocomial-acquired hospital infection.

Emotional intelligence in nurses working in the intensive care unit with COVID 19 patients of a private clinic in Lima, 2021

Emotional intelligence is based on the skills and dispositions to voluntarily establish a state of mind or feeling based on ideas about facts or events. The person has to use their emotions, guiding them appropriately in activities that are constructive, as well as in personal performance. Emotional intelligence is a good predictor for success in life, as well as a key component for maintaining quality intra- and interpersonal relationships. Objective: Determine emotional intelligence in nurses who work in the intensive care unit with Covid 19 patients of a private clinic in Lima, 2021. Type of study: This research assumes a quantitative approach, descriptive design and cross-sectional, it is constituted by 50 nursing professionals working in the Covid 19 intensive care unit of a private clinic in Lima. Data will be collected through a survey and the instrument that will be used to determine emotional intelligence is the Traid Meta-Mood Scale (TMMS-24), which is made up of 24 items and three dimensions. This instrument was validated in our country by Chang Mey, obtaining adequate results and has a reliability of 0.959 using Cronbach's Alpha. Data processing: The data will be exported to a data matrix designed in the Microsoft Excel 2019 program. The findings will be presented in statistical tables and graphs to be analyzed and interpreted.

Evaluación de las actitudes y percepciones sobre el uso de la inteligencia artificial en estudiantes de odontología de una universidad privada, Lima 2023

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar las actitudes y percepciones sobre el uso de la inteligencia artificial en estudiantes de odontología de una universidad privada, Lima 2023. Este fue un estudio no experimental, , correlacional descriptivo, transversal y prospectivo, en donde la muestra del estudio estuvo conformada por 207 estudiantes de la universidad Norbert Wiener pertenecientes al semestre académico 2023 – 2, a los cuales se les aplicó un cuestionario de 15 preguntas para evaluar la percepción y actitudes sobre el uso de la inteligencia artificial en la práctica educativa y clínica en odontología. Los resultados descriptivos indicaron que los participantes presentaron una actitud positiva y una percepción buena en un 50.2 %: con referencia al sexo de los participantes, se obtuvo que los del sexo masculino presentaron actitud positiva y percepción buena en un 53.8% y al sexo femenino presentaron actitud positiva y percepción buena en un 46.5% con una significancia estadística de p-valor = 0.777 (p>0.05) y el femenino el p-valor = 0.634; con respecto a la edad de los participantes los de 18 a 25 años presentaron actitud positiva y percepción buena en un 51.1% y los participantes de 26 a 40 años presentaron actitud positiva y percepción buena en un 48.5% con una significancia estadística de 18 a 25 años el p-valor = 0.610 (p>0.05) y el 26 – 40 el p-valor = 0.236 y con respecto al ciclo académico los del V al VIII ciclo presentaron actitud positiva y percepción buena en un 49.5% y los del IX al X ciclo presentaron actitud positiva y percepción buena en un 51% con una significancia estadística del V al VIII p valor = 0.851 (p>0.05) y del IX al X ciclo el p-valor = 0.681. Con lo cual se concluye que no existe diferencias entre las actitudes y percepciones sobre el uso de la inteligencia artificial de estudiantes de odontología de una universidad Privada de Lima 2023 al obtener un p valor de 0.628 (p>0.05).
