The results revealed that 91.2% of the surveyed dentists had a good or very good level of knowledge about the use of periodontal probes in periodontal diagnosis, while 95.4% considered themselves to have a good attitude toward the use of this instrument. The research concluded that there is a moderate relationship between attitudes and knowledge regarding the use of periodontal probes among dental professionals in Arequipa, as evidenced by a Spearman's Rho value with a significance of 0.000, also showing a significant relationship according to age, gender, and years of professional experience. The research adopted a quantitative approach, using a descriptive design and a cross-sectional method, with a sample consisting of 178 dental students. The results revealed that 36% of students showed a medium level of knowledge and a positive attitude toward educational strategies on potentially dangerous oral disorders. On the other hand, 64% of students had a high level of knowledge and a positive attitude toward these strategies. Regarding specific knowledge about potentially dangerous oral disorders, 85.4% of students reached a medium level of knowledge, while only 14.6% had a high level of knowledge. In terms of attitudes, 68% showed a positive attitude toward educational strategies, while 32% demonstrated a negative attitude. In conclusion, this study shows that a significant percentage of students have a high level of knowledge and a positive attitude, suggesting that the educational strategies implemented are having a positive impact on their trainingÍtem Acceso abierto knowledge and attitudes towards the care of patients receiving antithrombotic therapy in dental students at a private university in lima during the year 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-04) Pichon Ocampo, Jacqueline Flor; Gómez Carrión, Christian EstebanThe objective of this study was to determine the level of relationship between knowledge and attitudes toward the care of patients receiving antithrombotic therapy among dental students at a private university in Lima during 2023. In conclusion, a relationship was found between knowledge and attitudes toward the care of patients under antithrombotic therapy in dental students, highlighting the importance of strengthening knowledge and making appropriate decisions in this area.
