(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-12-22) Murguia Obando, Cindy Milagros; Benavente Sanchez, Yennys Katiusca

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-10-15) Altuna Urquiaga, Mercedes Violeta; Vera Pérez, Dany Araceli; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo Amado
Goal: To systematize the evidences of the efficacy of tight glycemic control on the decrease of the complications of the cardiac surgery-operated patient. Materials and Methods: Quantitative type systematic observational and retrospective review which includes 10 full-text scientific articles which describe the result of the application of tight glycemic control on the decrease of the complications of the cardiac surgery-operated patient. The selected articles were subjected to critical reading, using the Grade assessment to identify their degree of evidence. Results: 50% of the encountered studies correspond to systematic reviews, 20% to meta-analysis, 30% to randomized controlled essays, which means that 100% of the evidences are high-quality. 90% of the evidences proves that tight glycemic control considerably decreased the complications of the cardiac surgery-operated patient, while 10% of the reviews show that a tight glycemic control does not alter significantly the presence of complications in comparison with standard control. Conclusions: 9 out of 10 pieces of evidence proves that tight glycemic control decreases significantly the complications of the cardiac surgery-operated patient.

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-18) Huamán Crispín, Cecilia Verónica; Palomino Taquire, Rewards
The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between the interpretation of electrocardiograms and their documentation in nursing notes in the intensive care unit of a national hospital in Lima, 2023. The research follows the hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach and is of a basic type. The population comprises 86 nursing professionals from the intensive care unit. The survey technique will be used to assess the interpretation of electrocardiograms, while document analysis will be employed to evaluate their documentation. For the variable interpretation of electrocardiograms, a structured instrument with a Likert scale, developed by Collantes, will be used; it is dichotomous with a reliability of KR-20 = 0.89. For the documentation variable, a checklist by Garcilaso and Ormeño will be applied, consisting of four dichotomous items with a reliability of KR-20 = 0.76. Data processing involves entering the instruments into a Microsoft Excel database, coding the data accordingly, and exporting it to SPSS V27 for statistical analysis. The normality of variables will be assessed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS) test (P ≤ or > 0.05) to determine whether to apply Pearson or Spearman correlation. Results will be presented using descriptive statistics, central tendency measures, and cross-tabulations.
