However, this procedure can lead to complications, the most common being phlebitis, which is the most frequent complication of intravenous therapy in hospitalized patients. Phlebitis is characterized by discomfort, edema, localized elevation of body temperature, erythema or redness of the affected venous region or channel, and a palpable venous cord. In rare cases, there may also be purulent discharge and/or fever, and in more severe cases, venous thrombosis may occur.Ítem Acceso abierto Overload and quality of life of the primary caregiver of the oncologic child in a national hospital, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-13) Julcamoro Acevedo, Betsy Marlin; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoThis research study aims to: Determine the relationship between the overload and quality of life of the primary caregiver of the oncological child of a national hospital, 2022. Methodology: Quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental design, correlational and cross-sectional level. 60 adult users constitute the population, who are primary caregivers of children with oncology. The survey will be used as a technique for data collection, for this two questionnaires will be applied; Zarit caregiver burden assessment scale, made up of 4 dimensions distributed among 22 items and the Whoqol-Bref quality of life scale, which contains 26 questions equally made up of 4 dimensions.
