Materials and methods: The type of research is basic, descriptive level, quantitative approach , non-experimental cross-sectional design. The non-probabilistic convenience sample consisted of 60 mothers of children from 6 to 36 months. The survey was used as a technique and a validated instrument as a questionnaire to determine the relevant influencing circumstances. Results: Of the total number of mothers surveyed, we can mention that the circumstances that most influence supplementation is the importance of monitoring supplement consumption with 73.3%; followed by 70% adequate distribution of the supplement; Likewise, 90% indicate that monitoring of the supplementation process is very scarce; 45% do not have positive comments about the supplement; and 21.7% present a level of recognition of the signs and symptoms of the disease. Conclusions: Of all the circumstances that were taken into account, the majority influence mothers to obtain good adherence to supplementation; Likewise, the circumstance related to the person supplying has more influence.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of an educational intervention for preschool parents to improve knowledge on preparing and the nutritional content of healthy lunchboxes(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-10-20) Rivadeneyra Camayo, Ivet Patricia; Jiménez Medina, Elizabeth Rossana; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioObjective: Systematize evidence on the effectiveness of an educational intervention aimed at parents of preschoolers to improve the level of knowledge in the preparation and nutritional content of healthy lunch boxes. Materials and Methods: The systematic review consists of 10 scientific articles, which demonstrate the effectiveness of an educational intervention that improves the level of knowledge in the preparation and nutritional content in preschool children obtained from the following database: Pubmed, Scielo, Medline, Ebsco , and Google Scholar. They were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine the strength of recommendation and quality of the evidence. Of the 10 articles. 50% is moderate evidence, 40% is high evidence and 10% is low evidence. Results Of the 10 articles reviewed, 100% (10/10) demonstrate the effectiveness of educational interventions aimed at parents, improving the level of knowledge in the preparation and nutritional content of healthy lunch boxes. Conclusions: According to the evidence reviewed, they conclude that 10 of the 10 articles reviewed demonstrate that there is effectiveness of educational interventions aimed at parents of preschoolers that improve the level of knowledge in the preparation and nutritional content of healthy lunch boxes.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of consuming iron-fortified rice to correct micronutrient deficiencies in children aged 6 to 59 months(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-12-16) Arias Cuenca, Sandra Vanessa; Lopez Diaz, Evelyn Yesenia Stephanie; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioObjective: To systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of consuming iron-fortified rice to correct micronutrient deficiencies in children aged 6 to 59 months. Materials and Methods: A systematic, observational, and retrospective review synthesizing the results of multiple primary studies. The search was limited to full-text articles, and the selected articles underwent critical reading, using the GRADE system to assign the strength of recommendations. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, with 30% (3) from studies conducted in Brazil, 40% (4) from studies in Thailand and the United States, and 10% (1) from studies in Peru, India, and China, respectively. Conclusions: 90% of the analyzed articles confirm the effectiveness of consuming fortified rice to correct micronutrient or trace element deficiencies in children aged 6 to 59 months. MATERIAL AND METHOD: The study has a quantitative approach, and the methodological design is a descriptive cross-sectional research, consisting of 70 children under 3 years old who will be attended to at the Huascata Health Post. Data will be entered into a matrix table created using statistical software, and this process will be carried out carefully to avoid errors and missing values during the analysis. Methodology. The proposed methodological design is a hypothetical deductive study with a quantitative research approach, type of applied research, non-experimental cross-sectional design, level of correlational scope. Regarding the population, for the purposes of this research work, the analysis population is made up of 80 children under 5 years of age who attend a health center in Cerro de Pasco in the year 2023. To achieve precise results, work with the total population, therefore, the sample is made up of 80 children under 5 years of age who attend the Paucartambo health center. Regarding the instruments, for the purposes of data collection, the questionnaire prepared by Cruz Solórzano, Mabel Carmen in 2022 previously validated with a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.75 (n=20), and the inventory called food practices in mothers of preschools, prepared by Ferrel G., García M. & Villanueva B. in 2015. Method: The study follows a quantitative approach with an observational, correlational design. Population and Sample: The population consists of 136 children, and a non-probabilistic convenience sampling method was used to select a sample of 100 children under 3 years old. Techniques and Instruments: The instruments on maternal factors and nutritional status were developed and validated by Licenciado Huarhua F. The first instrument is a questionnaire that measures maternal factors, consisting of 21 closed questions organized by dimensions (Biological, Sociocultural, Economic, and Environmental). Materials and Method: The study will be descriptive, with a quantitative approach, cross-sectional, and non-experimental. A questionnaire with 10 questions and a single response option on child nutrition will be used to assess the knowledge of mothers or caregivers. The knowledge level will be classified as high (15-11 pts.), medium (10-6 pts.), or low (5-0 pts.). Results: The Spearman's rank test was used to measure the relationship between the two quantitative variables. The association degree between the two variables was calculated on each scale (-1 and 1). A statistical hypothesis was tested with a p-value of 0.9815 at a 5% significance level, allowing us to conclude that there is insufficient statistical evidence to reject the null hypothesis. San Antonio in the district of Chosica(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-06-21) Julca Carlos, Helen Eliana; Romero Perez, Yessica Paola; Krederdt Araujo, Sherin LuzObjective: To determine the relationship between water consumption and storage habits in mothers of children under 5 years old and intestinal parasitosis in children under 5 years old from the San Antonio Human Settlement, Chosica - 2015. Materials and Methods: This was a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study. A convenience sample of 57 parasitized children from the human settlement was obtained. Two techniques were used: one was an interview, and the instrument was a questionnaire, which was validated by expert judges; the other technique was documentary analysis, and the instrument was a form structured based on the Health Post Registration Book of the jurisdiction. The collected data were entered into the database; to establish the relationship between parasite types and habits, the Chi-square test was used. Results: Almost all (92%) had unhealthy habits; more than half (54%) of the children were parasitized with pinworms, and the rest with Giardia lamblia. There was a relationship between water consumption habits and types of parasites (p< 0.05). Conclusions: A significant relationship was found between water consumption and storage habits and intestinal parasitosis in children under 5 years old; furthermore, most households had access to irrigation water (74%), and just over half of the respondents stored water for later consumption, without observing hygienic measures or subjecting it to any purification process (54%).
