    Epicondylitis is the leading cause of lateral elbow pain, becoming a major health issue due to the pain it causes the individual and the subsequent work disability it leads to, as patients must alter their daily activities to avoid the pain. Most patients seek healthcare when the pathology has progressed, making recovery slow and potentially leading to recurrences. Therefore, since Cyriax’s deep transverse friction is a common technique in manual therapy, its effectiveness in cases of lateral epicondylitis needs to be researched.
