Effectiveness of early laparoscopic cholecystectomy vs late laparoscopic cholecystectomy in patients with acute cholecystitis
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-12-03) Ramírez Escobar, Brigitte Thalia; Saavedra Carranza, Delcy Tanith; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa Maria
Objective: To systematize the available evidence from studies on the effectiveness of early laparoscopic cholecystectomy vs late laparoscopic cholecystectomy in patients with acute cholecystitis. Materials and Methods: A systematic bibliographic search was conducted for 10 scientific articles found in the following databases: Cochrane Library, PubMed, Epistemonikos, Intramed, Elsevier, and Google Scholar. The research designs of the 10 identified studies included 60% (6/10) meta-analyses, 30% (3/10) randomized clinical trials, and 10% (1/10) systematic reviews. Results: 80% (n=8/10) of the reviewed articles show that early laparoscopic cholecystectomy is more effective than late laparoscopic cholecystectomy in patients with acute cholecystitis. On the other hand, 20% (n=2/10) of the articles reported no significant differences between the two procedures, but still recommended early intervention, as it would lead to better outcomes benefiting both the patient and the healthcare institution providing the service. Conclusion: Of the 10 articles reviewed, evidence shows that early laparoscopic cholecystectomy is more effective than late cholecystectomy, decreasing the risk of conversion to open surgery, reducing the duration of postoperative antibiotic therapy, decreasing the frequency of intraoperative drainage placement, and being more cost-effective for hospital management. Regarding patient perception, there is greater satisfaction and fewer lost workdays.

Effectiveness of laparoscopic cholecystectomy in patients with compensated liver cirrhosis in reducing morbidity and mortality during surgery
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-01-19) Angeles Saenz, Zenaida Patricia; Rojas Ambicho, Luz Mery; Fernández Rengifo, Werther Fernando
Objective: To systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of laparoscopic cholecystectomy in patients with compensated liver cirrhosis in reducing morbidity and mortality during surgery. Materials and Methods: The type of research was quantitative, the research design was systematic review, the population consisted of 20 articles, and the sample comprised 10 scientific articles published and indexed in scientific databases. The instrument was database search: Scielo, PubMed, Elsevier, EBSCO, and the GRADE system was used to assess quality. Results: Of the evidence found, 100% indicate that laparoscopic cholecystectomy in patients with compensated liver cirrhosis is safe as it shows a low rate of morbidity and mortality during surgery. Conclusion: 100% of the articles in the study demonstrate the effectiveness of laparoscopic surgery in patients with compensated liver cirrhosis, providing low morbidity and mortality and shorter operative time during surgery.

Effectiveness of outpatient laparoscopic cholecystectomy versus traditional inpatient laparoscopic cholecystectomy
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-02-17) Ayala Vasquez, Giovanna Jessica; Rojas Llanco, Maria Janet; Uturunco Vera, Milagros Lizbeth
Material and Methods: Systematic observational and retrospective quantitative review, subjected to critical selection, using the Grade evaluation system to identify the degree of evidence, found in the following databases: Pubmed, Scielo, Cochrane, epistemonikos, Elsevier. Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 20% (n= 2/10) are case-control study reviews, 10% (n=1/10) are cohort study reviews, 30% (n=3/ 10) are Meta-analysis study reviews, 30% (n=3/10) are Randomized study reviews, 10% (n=1/10) are observational study reviews. The articles come from the countries of Spain (20%), followed by Brazil (10%), China (10%), United States (10%), Honduras (10%), Colombia (10%), Japan (10% ), United Kingdom (10%) and Malaysia (10%). Results: Of the evidence found, 90% (n=9/10) indicate that outpatient laparoscopic cholecystectomy is as efficient and safe with optimal satisfaction and no complications as laparoscopic cholecystectomy with hospitalization, while only 10% (n= 1/10) of elderly patients indicate that they prefer to be hospitalized.

Effectiveness of single-port laparoscopic cholecystectomy in gallbladder pathologies
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-04-27) Leguia Caceres, Daysy Antonia; Ledesma León, Flor Olivia; Calsin Pacompia, Wilmer
Single-port or natural-port laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a minimally invasive surgery since it reduces complications related to the approach, produces less postsurgical pain, shortens hospital time, thus improving cosmetic results and postoperative quality of life. To perform single-port laparoscopic surgery (CLPU) is carried out thanks to a learning curve in both the surgeon and the surgical team, their skills and abilities greatly determine the effectiveness of the surgery. Nursing staff must be aware of the adaptation of new techniques related to the benefit of the patient, for this we must be updated in all knowledge in relation to this type of interventions, many of the patients operated on under this technique agreed on satisfaction Due to the aesthetics of the surgery, this reminds us of Dorothea Orem's theory and the importance of helping the individual to carry out actions that promptly help their health, thus reducing post-operative pain with this surgery. It is very important to emphasize that CLPU can be considered major outpatient surgery, which means that it would end up decongesting hospitalization services, etc. Reducing patient demand, thus providing improvement in quality in nursing care.

Effectiveness of the laparoscopic colecistectomy of a single incision against the laparoscopic colecistectomy of other ports in the aesthetics and recovery of the adult patient with colecistitis
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-11-17) Calixto Ichu, Sheylash Melissa; Calsin Pacompia, Wilmer
Objective: To analyze and systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of single-incision laparoscopic cholecystectomy compared to multi-port laparoscopic cholecystectomy in terms of aesthetics and recovery in adult patients with cholecystitis. Materials and methods: This is a quantitative study with a systematic review design. The population consisted of 18 articles, and a sample of 10 scientific articles was selected. The search was conducted in the following databases: Cochrane Library, Scielo, British Medical Journal, PubMed, Epistemonikos, Lilacs, and EBSCO. The GRADE system was used to evaluate the quality of evidence and the strength of the recommendations of the articles. Results: A review of the 10 articles showed that single-incision laparoscopic surgery was more effective, as patients who underwent this intervention experienced less postoperative pain, shorter hospital stays, quicker return to daily activities, and more favorable aesthetic outcomes compared to multi-port laparoscopic surgery. Conclusions: It was concluded that 30% of the studies showed that single-incision laparoscopic cholecystectomy is effective, 40% indicated that both procedures are effective, while 30% concluded that single-incision laparoscopic surgery is not effective due to complications such as wound infection, incisional hernia, and prolonged operative time.
