Ítem Acceso abierto effectiveness of virtual reality glasses in the dental fear of children aged 6 to 10 years in dental treatment in a private clinic, lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-10-16) Villaorduña Rodríguez, Evelyn Diana; Garavito Chang, Enna LucilaObjective: To determine the effectiveness of virtual reality glasses in dental fear in children aged 6 to 10 years undergoing dental treatments at the Sonrisa Segura Clinic, Los Olivos - Lima, 2023. The study method was hypothetical, with a quantitative approach and basic, prospective, and cross-sectional design; it was a quasi-experimental experimental design. The population consisted of 150 children aged 6 to 10 years who visited the Sonrisa Segura Clinic, and the sample included 50 children who met the selection criteria. The sample was divided into a control group [n=25] and an experimental group [n=25]. Results: In the control group, the fear evaluation before and after receiving dental treatment showed mostly low fear (76%) before and high fear (72%) after the treatment, respectively. In the experimental group, the fear evaluation before and after receiving dental treatment showed mostly high fear (76%) before and low fear (96%) after the treatment, respectively. Additionally, inferential analysis confirmed that the experimental group had a higher average rank than the control group, with a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05).
