Objetivos: Determinar la frecuencia de calidad de vida en cuidadores de niños con discapacidad. Metodología: Se utilizó como instrumento el cuestionario SF-36 para la calidad de vida del cuidador conjuntamente con una ficha de recolección de datos elaborada por el autor. La población estuvo conformada por 80 cuidadores de niños con discapacidad de un Centro de Terapia Física, Lima- 2024. El método de estudio deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental, observacional y corte transversal. El análisis de los datos se realizó con el SPSS 0.27 Resultados: De las características de los cuidadores encontramos 83% son género femenino de 30-39 años de edad con un 47,5%, el 38,8% cuentan con empleo, y el 41,3% son amas de casa, el 96,25% son sus hijos asumiendo las madres el rol como cuidadoras, dedicadas a la atención las 24 horas del día. En cuanto a calidad de vida cabe destacar 98,8% de cuidadores muestran buena calidad de vida. Conclusiones: Un gran porcentaje de cuidadores de niños con discapacidad presentaron buena calidad de vida, lo que implica que por ser madres jóvenes probablemente no presentan alguna dificultad.Ítem Acceso abierto Caregiver quality of life and functional disability in children attending a private physical therapy and rehabilitation center, Lince - 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-04-28) Quispe Bastos, Lizbeth Cielo; Puma Chombo, Jorge EloyQuality of life refers to a series of conditions an individual should enjoy; however, having a child with a disability can lead to situations of distress, economic problems, and/or stress for family members or caregivers. Objective: To determine how the quality of life of caregivers is related to the functional disability of children. Methodology: The research method is hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, applied type, non-experimental design, and a correlational cross-sectional sub-design. The sample consisted of 80 caregivers and children. The instruments used were the SF-36 for caregiver quality of life and the PEDI-CAT for functional disability. Results: In this study, it was found that the highest percentage of caregivers are between the ages of 30-39 (49%). Additionally, 47.5% of caregivers report a good quality of life, while 52.5% report a poor quality of life. It also shows that 54% of children have decreased functional abilities, 21.3% have an expected average level, and 11.3% perform above expectations. Conclusions: A relationship was found between caregiver quality of life and children's functional disability (rho = 0.611). Likewise, the lack of good sleep hygiene can trigger symptoms such as mental fatigue, irritability, and a decline in attention capacity, which affects daily activities, including daytime sleepiness. Therefore, the lack of sleep in children with special needs can present a series of challenges, such as behavioral problems, increased anxiety, and stress. Objective: To determine sleep disorders in children with special needs at the Fe y Alegría Educational Institution No. 42 in 2023. Methodology: Basic, cross-sectional, descriptive study; consisting of a sample of 90 children with special needs, selected through simple random probability sampling. The Tucson Children's Assessment of Sleep Apnea (TuCASA) questionnaire was used for the evaluation of sleep apnea in children. Statistical software used: Excel and SPSS version 23. Results: Sleep disorder: 61.1% of the children, after being evaluated, obtained a low level, while the remaining 38.9% had a medium level of sleep disorder. Regarding the dimension of nocturnal symptoms, 58.9% of the children had a low level, and the remaining 41.1% had a medium level. In the dimension of nocturnal snoring, 35.6% of the children had a low level, 41.1% had a medium level, and the remaining 27.8% had a high level. In the dimension of daytime symptoms, 70% of the children had a low level, and the remaining 30% had a medium level. Conclusion: "There is a predominant low level of sleep disorders in children with special needs at the I.E. Fe y Alegría No. 42, 2023.
