Ítem Acceso abierto Adherence to physiotherapeutic treatment and upper limb disability in hemiplegic patients at the OMAPED Chupaca, Junín 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-23) Palomino Alva, Mayra Antonella; Puma Chombo, Jorge EloyThe aim of this research is to determine the relationship between adherence to physiotherapeutic treatment and upper limb disability in hemiplegic patients at OMAPED Chupaca, Junín in 2023. Materials and Methods: This is a non-experimental, quantitative, descriptive-correlational, and cross-sectional study. The sample will consist of 50 users from OMAPED Chupaca, Junín. The instruments used will be SMAN 1.0 to measure adherence to neurorehabilitation processes in adults and DASHe, the Disability Arm, Shoulder, and Hand Questionnaire. Data will be recorded in a sheet that meets the validation and reliability processes for the study. Results: It was found that 54% of the users have a medium level of adherence, 32% have a low level, and 14% have a satisfactory level of adherence to the rehabilitation treatment. As for upper limb disability, 22% show moderate difficulty, and 78% show severe difficulty. Among the users, 27 are women and 23 are men. The relationship between the variables of adherence to physiotherapeutic treatment and upper limb disability, measured by the Spearman Rho test rs = -0.828, shows a high negative correlation between the two. Conclusion: There is a significant inverse relationship between the study variables, meaning that greater adherence to physiotherapeutic treatment leads to less upper limb disability.Ítem Acceso abierto Caregiver musculoskeletal disorders and their relationship with disability in CEBE children San Bartolomé, Lima 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-05-17) Oscco Espinoza, Lizbhet Katherine; Puma Chombo, Jorge EloySummary: The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between musculoskeletal disorders in caregivers and disability in children at the CEBE San Bartolomé in 2022. Regarding the children with disabilities, 60% were male, with children aged 5-8 years representing 55.4%. Of these, 64.6% had reduced functional abilities, 32.3% had abilities within the expected range, and 3.1% had abilities below average. Conclusion: A significant relationship exists between musculoskeletal disorders in caregivers and the disability of children, with an inverse and strong correlation of -0.742.Ítem Acceso abierto Cervical disability and work stress in workers of the San Miguel food and beverage company, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-04) Venegas Marquina, Estefani; Melgarejo Valverde, Jose AntonioSince the arrival of COVID-19, changes have occurred in various aspects of our lives, including those related to the work environment. Work modalities such as telecommuting, remote work, and hybrid work emerged as adaptations to continue work functions worldwide. In the case of Peru, according to the National Policy and Plan on Occupational Health and Safety 2017-2021 of the Ministry of Labor, the main occupational diseases affecting workers in the country include those caused by prolonged postures, such as dorsalgia, lumbalgia, and cervicalgia, which often lead to physical consequences in the way people work. To assess disability due to low back pain, the Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability Questionnaire was used, and to measure the extensibility of the hamstring muscles, the popliteal angle test was used. Both instruments were validated. The results show that workers with moderate functional limitation presented a hamstring extensibility of grade I shortening (23.8%), while all workers with severe functional limitation showed a hamstring extensibility of grade II shortening (3.8%). A relationship was found (p<0.05) between functional disability due to low back pain and hamstring extensibility in the sample. The psycho-emotional component is an important factor in musculoskeletal pain disabilities. Cognitive-emotional components, such as anxiety and depression, are currently part of the study of pain phenomena. The global prevalence of anxiety is about 10%, while in Spain, it is 7%. In North America, anxiety and depression affect 1 in 5 adults. Furthermore, the pandemic context increased these figures worldwide. This increase occurred among administrative workers who had to adapt to remote work, and as a result of the context, musculoskeletal pain problems significantly increased. The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between low back pain disability and psycho-emotional state in administrative staff of a telecommunications company, 2022. An observational, correlational, and cross-sectional study was conducted with 85 individuals. The Oswestry questionnaire and the Goldberg anxiety and depression questionnaire were used as instruments. Tacna 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-06-18) Pezo López, Roberto; Puma Chombo, Jorge EloyIntroduction: "Cerebrovascular Accident" (CVA) is a pathology that can appear abruptly in a person, potentially causing permanent brain injury or even death. CVA is a neurological condition often resulting from an inadequate lifestyle, causing paralysis of the body opposite the injury, known as "hemiplegia." In Peru, CVA ranks fourth in terms of disability and mortality rate, where individuals show more difficulty in trunk control and manual skills. In many cases, the upper extremity is more affected than the lower extremity, and one of the consequences is painful shoulder syndrome along with hand dysfunction, limiting the ability to perform manual skills.
