Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of the predictive assessment of the HEART score in patients with non-traumatic chest pain in emergency services(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-02-22) Salazar Serquen, Angie Mireya; Cecilia Kelly, Luis Sinche; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoObjective: To systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of the predictive assessment using the HEART score in patients with non-traumatic chest pain in emergency services. Materials and Methods: A systematic review of international studies was conducted, obtained through databases: Epistemonikos, PubMed, Elsevier, Google Scholar, and Scielo. These studies were analyzed using the GRADE system to determine the level of evidence. The search was carried out using DeCS and MeSH descriptors for the Spanish and English searches, respectively. 20% (2/10) of the reviewed articles are from Canada, and the remaining 80% (8/10) are from the Netherlands, France, the United States, Singapore, Peru, China, Argentina, and Colombia, respectively. Results: 90% (9/10) of the evidence indicates that the HEART score is effective in the predictive assessment of patients with non-traumatic chest pain in emergency services, while 10% (1/10) indicates that the HEART score is not effective in the predictive assessment of patients with non-traumatic chest pain in emergency services. Conclusions: 9 out of 10 pieces of evidence demonstrate that the HEART score is effective in the predictive assessment of patients with non-traumatic chest pain in emergency services, and 1 out of 10 pieces of evidence demonstrates that the HEART score is not effective in the predictive assessment of patients with non-traumatic chest pain in emergency services.Ítem Acceso abierto Use of adenosine versus calcium channel antagonists for the care of patients with supraventricular tachycardia in the emergency room(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-08-02) Castillo Lazo, Gilmer Eduardo; Soto López, Karla Alexandra; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoObjective: Systematize the evidence on the use of adenosine compared to calcium channel antagonists in the treatment of supraventricular tachycardia in the emergency room. Material and methods: Algorithms were created and a search was carried out in the PubMed, Cochrane, TripdataBase and PlosOne metadata. Results: A total of 1915 studies were found and of them ten were included in the study. Two publications are from the United Kingdom, two from the USA, two from Australia, one belongs to Singapore, another to Uruguay, another from Germany, and the last from India. Conclusion: According to this review, the quality of the evidence is medium and high and the strength of the recommendation is high only in three articles reviewed. The seven studies affirm that the efficacy of adenosine and calcium channel blocker products are similar in effectiveness. Both medications differ in their side effects: Adenosine due to redness, nausea, chest pain and headache. Calcium channel antagonists have been shown to produce hypotension.
