Accesibilidad de los medicamentos esenciales genéricos en oficinas farmacéuticas del distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho. Lima 2022

In Peru, essential generic medicines are necessary and fundamental for the population to access as a public health right. The objective of this research was to evaluate the accessibility of essential generic medicines in terms of price and availability in pharmaceutical offices in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, 2022. This is an applied study with a quantitative approach and a cross-sectional observational design. The instrument used was a data collection form with the observational technique. Results: A 91% availability was found for the entire list of medicines, and a 100% availability was determined individually for Captopril, Metformin, Naproxen, and Paracetamol solution. Regarding prices, a variation ranging from 10% to 55% was found. Conclusion: The availability of the full list of essential generic medicines was not entirely met in the pharmacies of San Juan de Lurigancho, while price variation showed a coefficient of up to 55%.

Aceptación de medicamentos genéricos en usuarios que acuden a la botica BTP – distrito de Chaclacayo – Lima provincias, 2022

The general objective was to determine the level of acceptance of generic medications among users who visit the BTP pharmacy in the district of Chaclacayo, Lima provinces, 2022. Methodology: The research had a quantitative approach, basic type, with a descriptive level, non-experimental design, and cross-sectional scope. The study population consisted of 1,600 surveyed users, and the sample was probabilistic, resulting in 310 users. These users were evaluated using a research instrument validated by a panel of three experts on the topic and reliability measured through Cronbach's alpha, which had a good value (α = 0.868). Results: Data tabulation revealed that the level of acceptance of generic medications among users visiting the BTP pharmacy in Chaclacayo, Lima provinces, in 2022 was expressed as medium (84.8%). Similarly, the information level was medium (70%), the consumption level was medium (72.3%), the safety level was low (50%), and the access level was medium (60.6%). Conclusion: The level of acceptance of generic medications among users was 84.8%.

Aceptación y disponibilidad de medicamentos genéricos en usuarios de la botica Divino Niño Jesús de Mariscal Cáceres San Juan de Lurigancho enero 2022

Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de aceptación y disponibilidad de los medicamentos genéricos en los usuarios de la botica Divino niño Jesús de Mariscal Cáceres San Juan De Lurigancho. Metodología: Enfoque cuantitativo, tipo de investigación aplicada, diseño no experimental con método deductivo, caracterizado por un enfoque observacional y transversal. Población, 450 usuarios, Muestra, 207, muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple. Técnica la encuesta la cual fue de modo presencial. El instrumento aplicado fue un cuestionario. Se utilizó el software estadístico Office Excel para realizar el análisis de datos. Resultado: en relación a la aceptación y disponibilidad de medicamentos genéricos los encuestados indican que la aceptación de medicamentos genéricos es mayoritariamente en un nivel regular (49,76%), siendo que el 7,25% no los acepta. En cuanto al grado de aceptación, el 59,76% tiene un nivel regular, el 26,57% tiene un nivel bueno y sólo el 12,56% tiene un nivel malo. En cuanto a la frecuencia de aceptación, el 50.24% tiene un nivel regular, el 34.30% tiene un nivel bueno y solo el 15.46% tiene un nivel malo. En cuanto a disponibilidad y accesibilidad, el 29,95% tiene un nivel bueno en la dimensión consumo, el 54,11% tiene un nivel regular y el 15,94% tiene un nivel malo. Conclusión: existe un apreciables aceptación y disponibilidad de medicamentos genéricos en los usuarios de la botica divino niño Jesús de Mariscal Cáceres San Juan de Lurigancho-periodo enero 2022”.

Análisis de los resultados sobre estudios de equivalencia terapéutica de medicamentos multifuentes con respecto al innovador: una revisión sistemática

The main objective was to analyze the results of therapeutic equivalence studies of multi-source drugs compared to the innovator drug. A basic-descriptive study with a non-experimental design was conducted. The methodology applied was a systematic review and documentary analysis. Complete, open-access studies were analyzed, including undergraduate and master's theses, scientific articles, and indexed journals, with a publication range no older than 5 years (2016–2021). A total of 41 in vitro therapeutic bioequivalence studies were analyzed in this research. Data collection and processing were performed using Excel version 2019 spreadsheets. Results: The data processing results reflect that in 25 of the therapeutic bioequivalence studies (61%), the medications did not present bioequivalence or interchangeability. In 16 studies (39%), the medications showed therapeutic equivalence and demonstrated interchangeability with respect to the innovator drug. Conclusion: It is necessary to demand, through the national drug authority, that all multi-source drugs available in the pharmaceutical market possess therapeutic bioequivalence studies in order to guarantee an adequate and optimal treatment for patients in general, ensuring quality alternatives in terms of medications.

Conocimiento y actitudes sobre el uso de medicamentos genéricos en usuarios de Boticas Perú ubicadas en el distrito de Miraflores – Lima en el período 2021

This research focused on evaluating the level of knowledge and attitudes regarding the use of generic drugs among users who visit Boticas Perú in Miraflores-Lima in 2021. The methodology employed a deductive method with a non-experimental design in a single study group. The sample was composed of 175 users of Boticas Perú in the district of Miraflores. Additionally, the approach was quantitative, as the data were statistically analyzed to address the proposed research objectives. The instrument used consisted of two questionnaires, which were validated through the judgment of experts in the study area. These instruments evaluated the drugstore users at a single point in time to corroborate their knowledge about generic drugs. Based on the results, it was concluded that 56.6% of the users have a high level of knowledge about the use of generic drugs.

Conocimientos y actitudes entre el personal de las oficinas farmacéuticas sobre los medicamentos genéricos en el distrito de Carmen de la Legua Reynoso, Callao, 2025

The general objective of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes among pharmacy staff regarding generic medications in the district of Carmen de la Legua Reynoso, Callao, 2025. The research methodology was quantitative, with a non experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The results showed a very high and significant correlation between knowledge and attitudes (rho = 0.926; p = 0.000), confirming the positive relationship between both variables. Similarly, a significant association was found between knowledge and the three dimensions of attitudes: behavior, prejudice, and imitation, all with p values < 0.05. In conclusion, the study confirms that the level of knowledge among pharmacy staff is a determining factor in strengthening favorable attitudes toward generic medications.

Consentimiento de medicamentos genéricos en usuarios que asisten a la botica Farmaclas del distrito de Villa El Salvador agosto–diciembre 2022

In the present research work, the general objective was to determine the level of acceptance of generic medicines among users attending the Farmaclas pharmacy in the Villa El Salvador district from August to December 2022. The research methodology had a quantitative approach, was basic in type, descriptive in level, with a non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 1,600 users who attended the Farmaclas pharmacy located in the Villa El Salvador district. A probabilistic sample was taken, applying a statistical formula, resulting in 310 users. These users were evaluated using a research instrument validated through a panel of three subject-matter experts and reliability confirmed using Cronbach's alpha, with a pilot test conducted prior to data collection (α = 0.868). After data tabulation, the level of acceptance of generic medicines among users attending the Farmaclas pharmacy in the Villa El Salvador district from August to December 2022 was found to be medium (84.8%).

Cumplimiento de las buenas prácticas de dispensación y acceso a medicamentos genéricos en las cadenas de boticas de Chorrillos 2022

The research aims to determine the relationship between compliance with Good Dispensing Practices and access to generic medications in pharmacy chains in Chorrillos, 2022. The study design is applied, correlational in level, and non-experimental cross-sectional with a quantitative approach. A survey was conducted with a sample of 384 patients. The results from the 384 respondents showed a low level of 57% compliance with the Good Dispensing Practices manual and a high level of 41.1% access to generic medications in the pharmacy chains of Chorrillos in 2022. Among the dimensions: the presence of a Pharmacist demonstrated a low level of 71.9%, dispensing of medical prescriptions showed a low level of 56.5%, rational use of medications was low at 46.4%, the stock of essential medications showed a high level of 52.6%, sales strategies for medications were low at 53.4%, and the economic level demonstrated a high level at 58.9%. It is concluded that there is a relationship between these variables.

Generic drugs are an option to increase the availability of medications required by the population and would also be of great help to public and private health programs. The work, titled "Availability of Essential Generic Drugs in Pharmaceutical Establishments in the San Juan de Lurigancho District 2022," had the Objective of evaluating the availability of essential generic drugs in pharmaceutical establishments in the San Juan de Lurigancho district. Methodology: The study was developed using a deductive method, with a quantitative approach, and a non-experimental, observational, and cross-sectional design. The total sample consisted of 272 owners or representatives of pharmaceutical establishments. Result: The availability of essential generic drugs in the San Juan de Lurigancho district is low at 37.00%. Conclusions: There is a low availability (37.00%) of essential generic drugs in the pharmaceutical establishments of the San Juan de Lurigancho district.

Disponibilidad y asequibilidad de medicamentos esenciales genéricos en el contexto COVID-19, en oficinas farmacéuticas del distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho – 2021

The objective of this study was to determine the availability and affordability of essential generic drugs in the context of COVID-19 in pharmaceutical offices in the San Juan de Lurigancho district in 2021. The research was prospective and cross-sectional, with a non-experimental design. Results: Of the 44 essential generic drugs analyzed, 70.5% showed high availability, 27.3% showed medium availability, and 2.3% showed low availability. Regarding the affordability of the drugs, 90.9% of essential generic drugs in INN (International Nonproprietary Name) were affordable, while affordability for essential branded generic drugs was 38.6%. Conclusion: There is high availability of essential generic drugs in INN in the pharmaceutical offices of the San Juan de Lurigancho District. The treatment cost for both INN generic and branded generic drugs is more than one workday's salary (S/ 31.00 soles). A comparison of the average prices of essential generic drugs in INN and branded essential generic drugs showed that the branded drug was more than double (greater than 50%) the price of the essential generic drug.

Essential generic drugs are a determining factor in patient recovery, so the population must have adequate access to medications that are high-quality, effective, and affordably priced. The work, titled "Availability and Price of Essential Generic Drugs in Pharmaceutical Establishments in the Districts of Breña and Pueblo Libre. May 2019," had the Objective of determining the availability and price of essential generic drugs in pharmaceutical establishments in the Breña and Pueblo Libre districts in May 2019. Methodology: The study was descriptive, cross-sectional, and prospective. The total population consisted of 168 pharmaceutical establishments in both districts, with a sample of 118 drugstores and pharmacies. Results: The availability of essential generic drugs in the drugstores and pharmacies of the Breña district reached 77.30%, and 70.08% in the Pueblo Libre district. Amoxicillin 500 mg tablets (97.10%), Acetylsalicylic Acid 100 mg tablets (91.75%), and Paracetamol 500 mg tablets (90.10%) had the highest positioning in the drugstores and pharmacies of both districts. Conclusions: There is a fair (73.69%) availability of essential generic drugs in pharmaceutical establishments, and high prices in private pharmacies and drugstores compared to the prices listed in the Ministry of Health's price observatory.

Efectividad de la enseñanza con el uso de simuladores en el desarrollo de competencias para el manejo de emergencias en estudiantes y profesionales de enfermería

Objetivo: Sistematizar la evidencia sobre la efectividad de la enseñanza con el uso de simuladores en el desarrollo de competencias para el manejo de emergencias en estudiantes y profesionales de enfermería. Material y Método: El diseño de investigación fue una revisión sistemática. La población total fue 19 artículos, extraídos de bases de datos científicas, a los cuales fueron aplicados criterios de elegibilidad y selección, siendo 10 artículos la muestra final. Resultados: El 50%(n=5) proceden de Estados Unidos, 20% (n=2) de Korea, 10% (n=1) de Brasil, 10%(n=1) de Arabia Saudita y 10% (n=1) de Suecia. El 40%(n=4) son diseños experimentales, 10% (n=2) fueron revisiones sistemáticas, 20% (n=2) fueron cuasi experimentales, 10% (n=1) cohorte longitudinal y 20%(n=2) descriptivo transversal. Conclusiones: De 10 artículos revisados sistemáticamente, 7/10 (70%) concluyen que es efectiva la enseñanza con el uso de simuladores en el desarrollo de competencias para el manejo de emergencias en profesionales de enfermería, mejorando sus diversos componentes básicos, genéricos y específicos. 3/10 (30%) refieren que es necesario realizar más investigaciones, encontrando resultados no significativos.

Equivalencia farmacéutica de medicamentos multifuentes de carbamazepina disponibles en Cercado de Lima marzo–abril 2018

The objective of this research was to determine the pharmaceutical equivalence of three multi-source carbamazepine 200 mg tablets versus the reference drug Tegretol 200 mg tablets (Novartis, Switzerland). Methodology: The multi-source and reference medications were acquired from pharmacies in Lima. Disintegration, friability, hardness, weight, and content assay tests were performed using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The results were analyzed to establish statistically significant differences. Results: The comparative analysis of the products showed the following: the multi-source medications had an average weight of ($\mathbf{0.32 \pm 7.5 \%}$g). In the hardness test, they reported an acceptable value between ($\mathbf{2 – 2.5 \text{ kg/F}}$). Disintegration showed a time of less than 30 minutes. Friability was less than 1.5%. The active principle assay by HPLC ranged between 92.0% and 108.0%. It is noteworthy that all products comply with the official specifications for identification and assay of the active ingredient, hardness, and disintegration time. Conclusion: The multi-source carbamazepine 200 mg tablets evaluated and sold in Cercado de Lima are pharmaceutically equivalent when compared to the innovator drug (Tegretol).

Equivalencia farmacéutica de medicamentos multifuentes de sildenafilo de 50 mg que se dispensan en el distrito de San Juan de Miraflores – San Juan zona D en los meses de noviembre y diciembre 2017

When performing the pharmaceutical equivalence of 50 mg sildenafil multi-source medicines dispensed in the district of San Juan de Miraflores during the months of November and December 2017, the objective was to evaluate in vitro the multi-source sildenafil medicines. This drug was chosen because, in recent years in Lima—particularly in the district of San Juan de Miraflores, according to pharmaceutical staff reports—it has been sold with great freedom, and since it is dispensed under different brands, it was necessary to determine whether equivalence existed in relation to the innovator. The methodology used included the corresponding parameters established by the United States Pharmacopeia for solid pharmaceutical forms, evaluating the external aspects and the physical parameters of the tablets, such as weight variation, hardness, disintegration, and friability. The results obtained in this study demonstrated that these pharmaceutical forms are similar with respect to these parameters, meeting the official specifications. The values obtained fall within the accepted averages for oral formulations of 50 mg sildenafil.

Equivalencia farmacéutica y preferencia por medicamentos genéricos o de marca en usuarios de una botica, Lima. 2025

La investigación contó con el objetivo de determinar la relación entre la equivalencia farmacéutica y preferencia por medicamentos genéricos o de marca en usuarios de una botica en Lima, 2025. La metodología empleada fue cuantitativa con método deductivo, tipo básica, no experimental, descriptiva, con una muestra conformada por 228 usuarios de una botica en Lima, 2025. Para la recolección de datos se empleó la encuesta con escala de tipo Likert. Los resultados descriptivos evidenciaron con un 66,2% que los usuarios consideran que la equivalencia farmacéutica es de nivel moderado. Concluyendo que la equivalencia farmacéutica se relaciona significativamente con la preferencia por medicamentos genéricos o de marca en usuarios de una botica en Lima, 2025 (p=0.000; r=0.641), lo que demuestra que hay una correlación significativa moderada entre la equivalencia farmacéutica y medicamentos genéricos o de marca. Se recomienda que la botica en Lima enfoque sus estrategias de marketing y educación del consumidor en resaltar la equivalencia farmacéutica de los medicamentos genéricos en comparación con los de marca.

Factores asociados y automedicación de medicamentos innovadores, multifuentes y genéricos en pacientes hiperglucémicos de la provincia de Cañete. Lima. 2022- 2023

El propósito fundamental de este estudio fue establecer la relación existente entre los factores vinculados y la práctica de automedicación con medicamentos innovadores, multifuentes y genéricos en individuos con hiperglucemia residentes en la provincia de Cañete durante el periodo 2022-2023. El método hipotético-deductivo, el enfoque cuantitativo, el tipo aplicada, el diseño es no experimental y transversal. La población la comprendido 544 pobladores de San Vicente de Cañete. La muestra fue 145 pobladores de 30 a 95 años hombres y mujeres hiperglucémicos. El muestreo es probabilístico. La técnica usada es la encuesta y el instrumento fue el cuestionario. Se determinó que el 68,3% de los pacientes hiperglucémicos consumieron medicamentos sin receta médica, mientras que el restante 31,7% lo hizo con receta, que los factores sociales en su indicador ocupación se relacionan con la automedicación de medicamentos innovadores, multifuentes y genéricos en pacientes hiperglucémicos. Se determino que los factores económicos se relacionan con la automedicación de medicamentos innovadores, multifuentes y genéricos, los pacientes con mayores ingresos se automedican con mayor frecuencia (100%). Finalmente, los factores culturales se relacionan con la automedicación con mayor frecuencia (técnicos 78,7%) siendo más frecuente la automedicación en aquellos que consideran que el innovador es mejor que el genérico (71,6%). Se concluye que hay una relación significativa entre los diferentes factores y la automedicación de medicamentos innovadores, multifuentes y genéricos.

Factores relacionados con la adquisición de medicamentos genéricos en pacientes que acuden a tres boticas alrededor del hospital Ica, 2025

El objetivo de la investigación fue identificar los factores internos y externos relacionados con la adquisición de medicamentos genéricos en pacientes que acuden a tres boticas alrededor del hospital de Ica en el año 2025. Se desarrolló un estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básico, diseño no experimental, transversal y correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 359 pacientes, seleccionados por muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. La técnica de recolección fue la encuesta y se aplicaron cuestionarios. Los resultados descriptivos mostraron que, en la variable factores relacionados, el nivel regular fue el más representativo con 36,49 %, seguido del nivel alto con 25,07 % y bajo con 19,22 %. En los factores internos, predominó el nivel alto con 27,58 % y muy alto con 25,63 %, mientras que el regular alcanzó 23,40 %, confirmando percepciones mayoritariamente favorables hacia los medicamentos genéricos. En la variable adquisición de medicamentos genéricos, el 31,48 % se ubicó en nivel muy alto y el 26,46 % en nivel alto, de modo que más de la mitad de los pacientes (57,94 %) mostró disposición favorable hacia su compra. En el análisis inferencial, se halló una correlación de Spearman rs = 0,788 (p = 0,000) entre las variables y sus dimensiones factores internos (rs=0,744) y factores externos (rs=0,767). El estudio confirma que el fortalecimiento de estos factores favorece la preferencia y adquisición de medicamentos genéricos del Perú.

Grado de aceptación de los medicamentos genéricos en la población mayor de 18 años del distrito de Junín en el año 2021

The objective of this research was to analyze the degree of acceptance of generic drugs in the population over 18 years old in the Junín district in 2021. The research used a quantitative approach, a descriptive level, and a cross-sectional observational design. The sample included 297 residents who provided verbal informed consent. Results: Of the total respondents, 50.5% (N=150) had a medium acceptance of generic drugs, and 37.0% (N=110) had a poor acceptance. Regarding the access dimension, 10.1% had no access to generic drugs, and 60.6% had fair access. For the information dimension, 28.3% had no information, and 58.9% had fair information. For the consumption dimension, 40.1% consumed generic drugs regularly, and 33.0% did not consume them. For the safety dimension, 44.4% felt unsafe consuming generic drugs. Conclusion: The degree of acceptance of generic drugs among the population over 18 in the Junín district was fair due to a lack of information, lack of confidence, fear that they would not achieve the desired therapeutic effect, low availability of generic drugs in health facilities, and very high prices.

Nivel de aceptación de medicamentos genéricos durante la pandemia COVID-19 en usuarios que acuden a la botica Sudameris’t – distrito de Ate Vitarte – Lima Metropolitana, 2022

The Objective of this research was to determine the level of acceptance of generic drugs during the COVID-19 pandemic among users visiting the Sudameris’t drugstore in the Ate Vitarte district, Metropolitan Lima, in 2022. Methodology: The research was an applied type at a descriptive level, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The instrument was a questionnaire, and the technique used was a survey, which was applied to a sample of 384 users. SPSS version 25.0 was used for statistical analysis. Results: Of 384 users surveyed, 51.6% were female, 79.7% were aged 30–59, and 42.7% had a higher education degree. Regarding the acceptance of generic drugs, 50.3% presented a medium level. Similarly, the information dimension showed a medium level of 47.7%, the access dimension a medium level of 53.1%, the consumption dimension a medium level of 52.3%, and the safety dimension a low level of 44.5%. Conclusion: A medium level of acceptance of generic drugs during the pandemic was determined due to the users' limited information about these medications and their lack of confidence in the therapeutic effect.

The present research aimed to determine the level of acceptance of generic medicines during the COVID-19 pandemic among users attending the San Rafaelito Pharmacy in the San Miguel district. Methodology: The research is basic, descriptive-level, non-experimental, and cross-sectional, with a sample of 384 users. A questionnaire was used as the instrument, and a survey was the technique employed. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS version 25.0. Results: Among the 384 surveyed users, 51.6% were female, 79.7% were aged between 30–59 years, and 42.7% had higher education. Regarding the acceptance of generic medicines, 50.3% presented a medium level; similarly, for the information dimension, 47.7% showed a medium level; for the access dimension, 53.1% showed a medium level; for the consumption dimension, 52.3% showed a medium level; and for the safety dimension, 44.5% showed a low level. Conclusion: A medium level of acceptance of generic medicines during the pandemic was determined, attributed to the users’ limited information about these medicines and their lack of confidence in their therapeutic effect.
