Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of ongoing education to strengthen treatment adherence in patients with diabetes(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-01-06) De La Cruz Orellana, Maritza Milagritos; Viale Paredes, Rossina Lisbett; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: Systematize evidence on the effectiveness of continuing education to strengthen adherence to treatment in patients with Diabetes. Materials and Methods: the type of research was quantitative, the study design is a systemic review, the initial population is 18 articles whose sample was 5 published and indexed scientific articles. The GRADE Methodology was used as the evaluation system. The scientific journals found were: Cochrane, PubMed, Medline ScienceDirect, Scielo, LILACS, Library, Clínica Key. Results: Of the articles, 40% correspond to Mexico, 20% to Brazil and the remaining 40% to Cuba. The studies were carried out in outpatient services, where descriptive, randomized experimental and quasi-experimental studies were applied. From the systematic review it is found that in 100% of the articles, education becomes one of the pillars so that patients know the factors to improve quality of life, as well as the primary role of health personnel in said activity. Conclusion: It was concluded that in 100% of the studies reviewed there is evidence on the effectiveness of continuing education in strengthening treatment adherence of patients with diabetes mellitus, which prevents complications and improves quality of life.Ítem Acceso abierto Most frequent errors incurred by the Nursing Professional in the Administration of Medication to hospitalized patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) de la Puente Malpartida, Gladys Lourdes; Rengifo Barrón, Delia Auristela; Mendigure Fernández, JulioObjective: Identify the most frequent errors incurred by nursing professionals related to the administration of medication. Materials and Methods: Integrative review of eleven works published in the virtual library, from 2011 to 2015. Results: The results were classified into three categories. : 1.- Most frequent errors, where the dose obtained the most matches (14.28%), the Omission of medication administration (11.9%). 2.- Related factors: Interruptions and distractions during the administration of medication (11.62%) and illegible prescription (9.30%). 3.- Proposals for improvement: they highlighted the importance of adopting protocols and guides for the safe administration of medications. medications and the need for continuous training of professionals in the area of pharmacology. Conclusions: It is imperative to use guides and protocols for the safe administration of medication within the framework of what is the Process of Nursing Care; Non-punitive error and adverse event notification modality, strengthen the role and effective presence of the nurse in the process to improve quality and safety in patient care.Ítem Acceso abierto Reasons for participation in continuing education and its relationship with care quality management in nurses of the oncological hospitalization service of the Oncosalud Clinic - Lima 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-03-12) Hagei Ricapa, Janet Teodora; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoIntroduction: Worldwide by the year 2020 there were 19.3 million new cases of cancer, 10 million deaths and 50.6 million people living with cancer. Patient care has existed since ancient times and was provided mainly by volunteers without much knowledge of health. Since then, nursing has evolved and developed its work on evidence-based scientific foundations. Continuing education is necessary to manage the quality of care for cancer patients, says the researcher. Nurses who work in specialized hospital units for cancer patients must be trained to care for all carriers of neoplasia, using an approach that ensures integrity and that actions in patient care are participatory and decisive so that they can make decisions that favor the interests of the patient Objective: To identify the relationship that exists between the reasons for participation in continuing education and the management of the quality of care in the nurses of the oncological hospitalization service of the Oncosalud Clinic - Lima 2022. The type of study: it is basic, quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional. The census sample will be made up of 50 nursing professionals who work at the Oncosalud clinic. The survey will be used for both variables, both are validated and are reliable to measure the variables in question. The collected data will be processed in SPSS Vs 25 and the hypothesis will be tested using Spearman's correlation coefficient test given the nature of the variables that are qualitative.
