Ítem Acceso abierto Evaluation of learning styles in nursing graduates from a private university in Lima-2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-09-18) Rosas Torres, Beatriz Felicita; Palomino Taquire, RewardsObjective: To determine the learning styles of nursing graduates from a private university in Lima - 2020. Materials and Methods: The study is quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional. The population consisted of 60 nursing graduates from a private university in Lima. The technique used was a survey, and the instrument applied was the Honey-Alonso Learning Styles Questionnaire (CHAEA), which measures learning styles, consisting of 80 items and grouped into four types: active, reflective, theoretical, and pragmatic. Results: Regarding learning styles in nursing graduates, the reflective style predominated with 26.6% (n=16), the theoretical style with 26.6% (n=16), the pragmatic style with 26.6% (n=16), and finally, the active style with 20.2% (n=12). In relation to the types of learning styles, the moderate level predominated in all groups. The active style had 43.3% (n=26), reflective had 51.7% (n=31), theoretical had 45% (n=27), and pragmatic had 33.3% (n=20). Conclusions: In the evaluation of learning styles in nursing graduates, the reflective, theoretical, and pragmatic styles predominated. Regarding the types of learning styles, the moderate level predominated in all groups.Ítem Acceso abierto Evaluation of nursing competencies in nursing graduates from a Private University of Lima(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-09-18) Quispe Peña, Doris Maribel; Palomino Taquire, RewardsObjective: To evaluate the nursing competencies of graduates from a private university in Lima. Materials and Methods: The type of study was basic and descriptive, including a total of 63 graduates from the Professional Academic School of Nursing from the 2019-II cohort. The sampling technique was non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The instrument used to assess competency was the EcoEnf scale, which consists of 72 items, with multiple-choice options and a Likert scale. Results: The competencies developed by the 2019-II nursing graduates were inadequately developed in 39.7%. Regarding the diagnostic assessment dimension, "Sometimes" predominated in 36.5% of the nursing graduates. In the planning dimension, the value of "Almost Always" was obtained in 33.3%. In nursing intervention, "Always" was reported in 42.9%. The evaluation and quality dimension showed 28.6% for both "Almost Always" and "Sometimes". In the management dimension, "Almost Always" was reported in 44.4%. In the communication and interpersonal relationships dimension, "Sometimes" was reported by 25.4% of participants. In the attitudes, values, and transfer dimension, "Almost Always" and "Always" were reported in 25.4% of cases for both. Conclusions: It is concluded that the overall competency level among the nursing graduates of the 2019-II cohort was mostly inadequate, followed by an adequate level.
