    Actitud de las personas con afecciones gastrointestinales en el uso de plantas medicinales como terapia alternativa que acuden al mercado Real Plaza Vitarte APROMEC – Ate, 2023

    The objective of this research was to “Determine the attitude of individuals with gastrointestinal conditions towards the use of medicinal plants as an alternative therapy.” The methodology was based on a deductive method with a quantitative approach, basic type, descriptive level, non-experimental design, and cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 267 people. A survey and a questionnaire were used as the technique and instrument, respectively. The data obtained were entered and processed using Excel and SPSS software, achieving a good reliability score of 0.810. The results showed that 77.9% of the respondents were between the ages of 31 and 59 years, 73.4% were female, and 60.3% had secondary education. The most consumed plants were chamomile (26.97%), followed by muña (19.10%), mint (13.11%), and lemongrass (11.61%). Regarding attitudes, 89.5% of the participants exhibited a positive attitude, and 10.5% had a neutral attitude. Conclusion: It was determined that individuals with gastrointestinal conditions who use medicinal plants as an alternative treatment have a positive attitude. Additionally, the various dimensions analyzed showed positive results, except for the dimensions of safety and efficacy, where the attitude was neutral.

    Enteroparásitos de importancia clínica en lechugas de los mercados Caqueta y Huamantanga, 2018

    Se realizó un estudio transversal, descriptivo, prospectivo, cuantitativa recolectaron 90 muestras de lechuga (Lactuca sativa). Las muestras fueron procesadas por la metodología de Alvarez y col. Y por la técnica de coloración de Ziehl Neelsen modificado, Resultados: Se encontró un porcentaje de contaminación parásitaria en el mercado Caquetá 80 % seguido del mercado Huamantanga con un 70 %. Obteniéndose Strongyloides sp (33.7%) seguido de Trichomonas sp (24.1 %), Quiste de Blastocystis sp (6.0 %) y Huevo de Uncinaria sp (1.2 %). Por los resultados hallados en el presente estudio recomienda capacitación a todos los que conforman la cadena de producción, sobre el buen cultivo y manejo de hortalizas ,el monitoreo preventivo de mercados para búsqueda de parásitos en frutas y hortalizas.

    Estudio etnofarmacológico de las plantas medicinales y sus efectos en enfermedades gastrointestinales en Cajabamba, Cajamarca – Perú, 2023

    The ethnopharmacological study integrates disciplines such as ethnobotany, chemistry, and pharmacology to scientifically investigate the therapeutic properties of natural products that were traditionally used or are currently applied to treat health problems such as gastrointestinal diseases, which are common among the population. The objective of this research was to describe how ethnopharmacological studies help identify the most commonly used medicinal plants by local residents and their effects on gastrointestinal diseases in Cajabamba, Cajamarca, Peru, 2023. The methodology used was basic type, descriptive level, and non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 130 respondents. The technique used was a survey, and the instrument was a questionnaire with 96% reliability. Results: Fifteen medicinal plants were reported, of which seven were the most frequently mentioned by the population: Minthostachys mollis (Chanca or muña), Lantana angustibracteata (Botonsillo), Tagetes filifolia Lag. (Anisquegua), Otholobium pubescens (Culén), Stachys arvensis L. (Zupisacha), Pilea sp (Contrayerba), and Ageratina sternbergiana (Warme). The most commonly used part of the plants was the leaves (57.7%), the most frequent preparation method was infusion (83.1%), and the most common administration frequency was daily use (58.5%). In the phytochemical analysis, the presence of primary and secondary metabolites was identified, including carbohydrates, reducing sugars, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, free amino groups, alkaloids, and steroids. Conclusion: Through ethnopharmacological study, the most commonly used medicinal plants beneficial for gastrointestinal diseases were identified, such as Minthostachys mollis (Chanca or muña).

    Factores asociados y estreñimiento en pobladores del Asentamiento Humano Leandra Ortega Espinoza del distrito de Ventanilla agosto a diciembre – 2023

    Constipation is one of the most frequent gastrointestinal disorders in the population today. It can originate from different multifactorial causes and is characterized mainly by a persistent difficulty in defecating. Objective: To determine the relationship between associated factors and constipation in residents of the Leandra Ortega Espinoza Human Settlement in the Ventanilla district from August to December 2023. Methodology: Correlational study, basic type, non-experimental design, hypothetical-deductive method, cross-sectional and quantitative approach. The participants consisted of 264 residents and a survey was used for data collection. Results: 18.9% of the residents presented constipation, with a greater predominance in the female sex; there is a significant relationship between demographic factors and the indicator (sex, Level of education, current occupation, and monthly income were found to be associated with constipation (p < 0.05) using the chi-square test and Fisher's exact test. A significant relationship was also found between metabolic abnormalities and constipation (p = 0.040); medication use and constipation (p = 0.021); dietary habits and constipation (p = 0.008); and physical activity and constipation (p = 0.030), as determined by Spearman's rho non-parametric correlation. Conclusion: The relationship between the associated factors and constipation was determined in residents of the Leandra Ortega Espinoza Human Settlement in the Ventanilla district.

    Impacto del mobbing en el personal de enfermería

    Objetivo: Sistematizar las evidencias del impacto del mobbing en la Salud Mental y en la Calidad de la Atención en el personal de enfermería. Material y métodos: La Revisión Sistemática son investigaciones científicas que tiene como unidad de análisis estudios originales que esquematizan los efectos de múltiples investigaciones científicas. De los cuales el 80% de tipo de Revisión Sistemática y un 20% de tipo Estudio descriptivo, transversal. Resultados: Se revisaron 10 artículos científicos de los cuales el 100% (10/10) refiere que el mobbing presenta un impacto sobre la salud mental del personal de enfermería: teniendo como resultados profesionales con baja autoestima trastornos obsesivos compulsivos y un gran impacto emocional en casos severos intentos suicidas. Problemas de salud física somatización y también se presentan problemas para la organización; 5 artículos de los 10 indica que la edad más sensible es menor de 30 años y aquellas mayores de 45 años, las áreas donde se reportaron el mayor número de casos fueron en el área de hospitalización y emergencia. Conclusión: De los 10 artículos revisados 10 concluyen que el mobbing tiene impacto negativo en la salud mental especialmente en el profesional de enfermería, Impacto en la Salud Física: Enfermedades psicosomáticas, tensiones musculares, enfermedades gastrointestinales; en la organización: disminución de la calidad de la atención por consiguiente problemas en la seguridad en el usuario.

    Intervenciones con medicina alternativa y complementaria en comparación a los placebos para la disminución de síntomas gastrointestinales en adultos ambulatorios que acuden a centros de salud

    Objetivo: Sistematizar las evidencias sobre las intervenciones con medicina alternativa y complementaria en comparación a los placebos para la disminución de síntomas gastrointestinales en adultos ambulatorios que acuden a centros de salud. Metodología: Revisión sistemática. de 879 artículos, muestra 10 artículos. la base de datos: Pub Med, Cochrane,Wiley, Epistemonikos. El diseño de estudio fue 30% revisión sistemática, 10% metaanálisis-revisión sistemática, 10% ensayo controlado aleatorizado, 20% cohorte, 20% revisión de la literatura, 10% descriptivo correlacional. de acuerdo a la calidad de la evidencia en un 50% alta y de acuerdo a la fuerza de recomendación fuerte en un 50%; según el país de procedencia corresponden a Italia 20%, Alemania 20%, Canadá 20%, China 10%, Reino Unido 10%, Suecia 10% y Noruega 10%. Resultados: El 80% señalan que las intervenciones con medicina alternativa y complementaria son efectivas con hierbas, masajes y meditación en comparación a los placebos para la disminución de síntomas gastrointestinales en adultos ambulatorios que acuden a centros de salud. Un 20% señalan discrepancia debido a la limitada información en las investigaciones. Conclusión: Se concluyó que 8 de 10 autores señalan que las intervenciones con hierbas, masajes y meditación en comparación a los placebos disminuyeron los síntomas gastrointestinales en adultos ambulatorios que acuden a centros de salud.

    La relación del consumo de betalactámicos con los efectos adversos gastrointestinales en personas que acuden al Puesto de Salud- Agustino, 2023

    The objective was to determine the relationship between beta-lactam consumption and gastrointestinal adverse effects in people who go to the Health Post - Agustino, 2023. Methodology: the method was deductive, with a quantitative approach, the type of research was basic, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, prospective and correlational. The population was 320 users who went to the health post and the sample was 178 which was calculated with the finite population formula, to whom the survey technique was applied with the questionnaire as an instrument for collecting data that were statistically analyzed. Results: the respondents were 55,1% male, the most frequent age being 40 years or older 40,4% of the cases, as for the level of education, the majority were from secondary level (48,3%). It was observed that amoxicillin was consumed by 99,4%, in second place, appears amoxicillin / clavulanic with 96.1% and in third and fourth place ampicillin and cefuroxime were 86,0% and 53,9% respectively of the people who went to the Health Post - Agustino. There is a relationship between ampicillin consumption, dose and frequency with gastrointestinal adverse effects in people, similarly a low correlation of Cramer's V was found with values higher than 0,220. In addition, amoxicillin has no relationship because it was not statistically significant. Conclusion: It is concluded that there is a relationship between the consumption of ampicillin, the dose and the frequency of beta-lactams with gastrointestinal adverse effects.

    Síntomas de estreñimiento y uso de hierbas medicinales en adultos mayores del centro comercial Villa Jardín, San Luis, Lima. 2025

    The study aimed to “determine the relationship between constipation symptoms and the use of medicinal herbs in older adults at the Villa Jardín shopping center, San Luis, Lima. 2025.” Method. Applied a quantitative approach, hypothetical deductive method, correlational scope, non experimental design, sample of 123 adults, conducted a single questionnaire survey, used statistics to analyze the data, and tested the hypothesis with Spearman's rho. Results. In terms of constipation severity, 39.8% strained excessively during bowel movements, 43.9% passed hard stools, 26.8% experienced pain, and 21.1% had incomplete bowel movements. In terms of constipation habits, 28.5% consumed fiber-rich foods, 40.7% drank 1.5 L of water per day, 23.6% engaged in physical activity, and 56.9% had regular bowel movements. In terms of beliefs about constipation, 33.3% considered constipation to be a health problem, 30.1% stated that medicinal herbs are safe for treating constipation, and 63.4% stated that medicinal herbs are more effective than medications. In terms of medicinal herbs 79.7% use aloe, 55.3% chamomile, 49.6% flaxseed, 22.8% ginger, and 50.4% fennel. in terms of perceived consumption of medicinal herbs, 32.5% reported an improvement in constipation symptoms, 50.4% preferred medicinal herbs to medication, and 27.6% indicated that medicinal herbs were safe treatments; in terms of preparation methods, 40.7% used infusions, 25.2% used decoctions, and 13.0% used ethanol macerates. Conclusion. There is a highly significant positive correlation (p=0.000, rho=0.792) between constipation symptoms and the use of medicinal herbs in older adults at the Villa Jardín shopping center in San Luis, Lima. 2025.

    Síntomas de intestino irritable con relación al uso de plantas medicinales en adultos mayores de 30 años que acuden al Mercado Señor de Los Milagros, Ventanilla 2025

    The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between irritable bowel symptoms and the use of medicinal plants in adults over 30 years of age who attend the Señor de los Milagros Market, Ventanilla 2025. Method. The study was cross-sectional, non-experimental design, correlational scope, hypothetical-deductive method, quantitative approach, basic type study, sample 162 adults over 30 years of age, through surveys and use of questionnaires the data was collected, hypothesis was contracted with Spearman's Rho. Results. 38.3% were between 51- 60 years old, 46.9% were overweight or obese; in irritable bowel symptoms; 43.8% presented abdominal pain, 51.2% abdominal distension, 40.1% presented diarrhea or constipation, 50.6% improved with the use of medicinal plants; 21.6% presented fatigue or general malaise, 27.2% improved with the use of medicinal plants. Chamomile was used by 49.4%, peppermint by 47.5%, plantain by 25.3%, fennel by 16.7%, and ginger by 28.4%. 40.1% had little knowledge of the side effects. It was effective for 50.6% of patients with abdominal pain, 46.9% with abdominal bloating, 42% with diarrhea and/or constipation, and 54.3% with much lower cost than conventional medications. A moderately significant relationship (p=0.000; rho=.0458) was observed between irritable bowel symptoms and the use of medicinal plants. Conclusion: There is a moderately significant positive relationship between irritable bowel symptoms and the use of medicinal plants in adults over 30 years of age.

    Trastornos digestivos con relación al empleo de plantas medicinales en adultos mayores a 40 años que acuden al mercado El Trébol distrito Los Olivos 2025

    The study aimed to determine the relationship between digestive disorders and the use of medicinal plants in adults over 40 years of age who attend the El Trébol Market, Los Olivos district 2025. Methods. The research used the hypothetical deductive method, was basic, data collection was through a questionnaire with closed questions, quantitative approach, correlational level, non experimental design, sample 159 adults over 40 years of age, the hypothesis was contrasted with Spearman's rho correlation. Results. 58.5% were women, 38.4% were between 51-60 years old; digestive disorders were moderate, 52.2% presented gastroesophageal reflux, 56.6% peptic ulcer and 79.2% digestive spasms, 23.9% presented regurgitation of food or sour liquid, 35.8% difficulty swallowing; In peptic ulcer, 24.9% presented burning and/or pain in the abdomen, 25.2% nausea and/or vomiting, 36.5% feeling of satiety after meals, 49.1% presented intestinal colic, 37.7% biliary colic, 15.1% flatulence. 76.7% used rosemary, 57.2% oregano, 50.3% thyme, 27.0% turmeric, 42.1% mint; 36.5% prepared infusions, 42.8% decoctions, and 30.8% hydroalcoholic extracts; 36.5% used it three times a day for ten days; 42.8% reported improvements in symptom relief, and 30.8% reported minimal side effects. The correlation was high and significant (rho=0.848; p=0.000). Conclusion. There was a high and significant direct correlation between digestive disorders and the use of medicinal plants in adults over 40 years of age.

    Uso de plantas medicinales y manejo de alteraciones gastrointestinales en personas adultas que acuden a un mercado de Lima, 2025

    El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el uso de plantas medicinales con el manejo de alteraciones gastrointestinales en personas adultas que acuden a un mercado de Lima. Métodos. Investigación no experimental, muestra 172 personas adultas, los datos fueron obtenidos mediante encuesta y cuestionario con preguntas cerradas aplicados en una única ocasión, se usó estadística deductiva, se comprobó la hipótesis mediante rho de Spearman el tipo de estudio fue básico, alcance correlacional. Resultados. El 54,4% de varones y 29,1% de mujeres presentaron TGI moderado. El uso de las plantas medicinales para AGI fue moderado, 13,4% usaron cúrcuma, 20,9% manzanilla, 27,3% sábila, 14,5% jengibre y 18,0% menta, 27,9% recibieron asesoría por profesionales de la salud, 27,9% recomendaría plantas medicinales, 19,2% ayudó a reducir la severidad de los síntomas y 30,2% experimentó pocos efectos adversos. En síntomas y gravedad clínica de las AGI, el 65,7% presentó dolor abdominal, 47,1% diarrea o evacuaciones blandas, 45,3% heces con sangre en los últimos meses, 22,1% urgencias para evacuar, 29,7% se sintió fatigado, 34,3% despertaron por las noches por molestias digestivas, 36,6% siguió las recomendaciones médicas, 25,6% mantuvo una dieta adecuada, 21,5% realizó actividad física regularmente, 14,5% evitó alimentos alto en grasa y bebidas carbonatadas. La correlación fue directo y significativo (p=0,000; r=0,763). Conclusión. Si existe correlación destacada entre el empleo de plantas medicinales con el manejo de alteraciones gastrointestinales en personas adultas que acuden a un mercado de Lima.

    Uso de Valeriana officinalis extracto “Motivida relax” en trabajadores de Botica Profesional – Lima 2023

    The general objective of this research was to describe the general use of the Valeriana officinalis extract "Motivida Relax" among workers at the Professional Pharmacy of Lima in 2023. The methodology employed a deductive method with a quantitative approach, as it is based on the collection and analysis of numerical and quantifiable data. Basic research was conducted with a non-experimental cross-sectional design and a descriptive level, which involves the collection and analysis of information at a single point in time. The population consisted of 56 people. Sampling was not applied because no employees were excluded, as the entire population was worked with. A 20-item questionnaire was used as a research tool, which was subjected to a reliability analysis using Cronbach's Alpha to measure its degree of reliability. Regarding the information obtained, the results showed that 50% of the surveyed population reported a significant improvement in gastrointestinal problems, insomnia, anxiety, headaches, and premenstrual syndrome when using this extract occasionally. Additionally, 25% of the workers experienced consistent improvements in their specific conditions. The conclusion is that using the extract can be a safe and effective alternative for those seeking relief from health problems such as insomnia, anxiety, and headaches without resorting to traditional medications, and is considered a natural alternative.
