Ítem Acceso abierto Family functionality and aggressiveness in high school students from a private educational institution in Lima, 2019.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-07-23) Quique Torres, Angela Mercedes; La Torre Calderón, Helarf RogelioThe research aimed to understand the relationship between family functioning and aggression in secondary school students from a private institution in Lima. The study had a quantitative, descriptive-correlational approach with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 453 students from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th year of secondary school, aged between 14 and 18. The instruments used were the Family Cohesion and Adaptability Evaluation Scale (FACES III) and the Aggression Questionnaire (AQ) by Buss and Perry. The results indicated a significant inverse relationship between the study variables (p < 0.05; r = -0.115). Similarly, an inverse relationship was found for physical aggression (p < 0.05; r = -0.115) and hostility (p < 0.05; r = -0.159) with family functioning. No correlation was found between family functioning and the other two dimensions of aggression: verbal aggression (p > 0.05; r = -0.007) and anger (p > 0.05; r = -0.052). It was inferred that students with adequate family functioning would develop lower levels of aggression.Ítem Acceso abierto Family functionality and self-esteem in students from 3rd to 5th grade of secondary of two public educational institutions of the district of Ate Vitarte, Zone B - Lima, 2019.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-12-11) Quichca Mendoza, Roxana Vanessa; Tamayo Toro, Mónica AlexandraThe goal of this research was to determine if there is a relationship between family functioning dimensions and self-esteem among students from 3rd to 5th year of secondary school in two public institutions in the Ate Vitarte district, zone B-2019. The sample included 175 students, with 50.9% females and 49.1% males. The data was collected using the FACES III Family Cohesion and Adaptability Scale and the Stanley Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory. The research design was descriptive comparative correlational with a non-experimental cross-sectional approach. A moderate and low positive correlation was found between family functioning dimensions and self-esteem (p < 0.01). It was concluded that family functionality dimensions are correlated with self-esteem.Ítem Acceso abierto Family functioning and academic achievement in 5th grade secondary school students in two state educational institutions, Huanta – 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-04-29) Gutierrez Valenzuela, Solansh Pamela; Jacobi Romero, Dante JesusThe objective of the research was to determine the relationship between family functioning and academic achievement in 5th-grade secondary students from two public educational institutions in Huanta, Ayacucho. The research followed a quantitative, correlational approach with a non-experimental cross-sectional design, using the Family Cohesion and Flexibility Evaluation Scale – FACES III, adapted by Bazo et al. (2016), and the students' grade records. The results showed no significant correlation between family functioning and academic achievement (rho = 0.09; p > 0.17). Therefore, it was concluded that there is no direct relationship between family functioning and academic performance in these students.Ítem Acceso abierto Family functioning and aggressiveness in students of a public educational institution, Lima - 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-26) Zevallos Vivas, Karen Pamela; Paico Ruiz, Marcos JoséThe aim of this study was to determine the relationship between family functioning and aggression in students from a public educational institution in Lima, 2023. A non-experimental design was employed, with a quantitative approach, correlation level, and cross-sectional design. A sample of 255 students from first to fifth year of secondary school from a Lima school was selected, who were administered the Family Cohesion and Adaptability Scale FACES-IV and the Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire. The results revealed that family functioning did not significantly correlate with aggression (rho = -0.05; p = 0.36 > 0.05); a similar result was found for the relationship between family functioning and the aggression dimensions (p < 0.05). This led to the premise that if students from this institution are exposed to family functioning problems, they will not necessarily develop aggressive behaviors.Ítem Acceso abierto Intra-family relationships and antisocial behavior in institutionalized adolescents, Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-05-03) Pérez Aguilar, Eysaboe Catherine; Reyes Callahuacho, David TitoThis study aimed to determine the relationship between the quality of intrafamily relationships and antisocial behavior in institutionalized adolescents in Lima in 2022. The methodology was based on a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design. Two instruments were applied: the Intrafamily Relationship Evaluation Scale (E.R.I.) and the Childhood and Adolescent Antisocial Behavior Questionnaire (CASIA) to a sample of 112 institutionalized adolescents. The main data analysis was conducted using Spearman’s rho correlation, revealing a correlation coefficient of -.631 with statistical significance of p < .05 and an effect size of .398. This result indicates a significant relationship between the quality of intrafamily relationships and antisocial behavior in the studied adolescents. In conclusion, it was found that the quality of intrafamily relationships plays an important role in adolescent antisocial behavior. Specifically, adolescents who maintain strong and healthy family relationships tend to exhibit fewer antisocial behaviors. This suggests that strengthening family relationships can be an effective strategy to mitigate antisocial behavior in institutionalized adolescents.Ítem Acceso abierto Spiritual well-being and psychological well-being in people, who lost or not, a family member due to covid19(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-03-13) Rojas Ccente, Sandra; Jacobi Romero, Dante JesusThe purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a significant correlation between spiritual well-being and psychological well-being among individuals who have lost a family member to COVID-19 in the district of Ate Vitarte. The research methodology will follow the hypothetico-deductive method, with a quantitative approach and descriptive correlational type, using a non-experimental design. The tools for measurement will be the Spiritual Well-Being Scale by Paloutzian and Ellison and the Psychological Well-Being Scale by Carol Ryff, both adapted in Peru.
