Complementary feeding practices are an essential tool for human health, since an adequate dietary practice can reduce or avoid the rate of contracting anemia generally in minors, who are the sector with the highest risk. The main objective of this project is to determine the relationship between complementary feeding practices and iron deficiency anemia in children aged 6 to 24 months, at the Llanavilla Health Post in Villa el Salvador, Lima - 2021. The present study has a hypothetical deductive research method with a quantitative approach, applied type, correlational and transversal design. The population and sample are children under 24 months of age treated at the Llanavilla Health Post in the first half of the current year, and the technique that will be applied is the survey, and at the same time the documentary record will be used to extract the results of hemoglobin. Finally, to measure the variable, complementary feeding practice, it is based on a questionnaire, which is made up of 13 items and divided into two dimensions, which are: types of food that determines 6 questions and frequency of food consumption by 7 questions, of In this way, the evaluation scale is established. This instrument was created in 2016 by the researchers: Álvarez Quiñones, Huamani Mendoza, Montoya Jiménez, Clara Trinidad, from the Cayetano Heredia University, and Validated by expert judgment, its reliability is 0.81 by Cron Bach's alpha, which makes this instrument reliable for the application.

The present investigation had as a general objective; To determine the relationship between complementary feeding practices and iron deficiency anemia in children from 6 to 36 months at the Senior de las Milagros Health Post in the Villa del Salvador district, Lima-Peru 2022. The research method corresponds to a method deductive, quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, correlational. The population of children who spend in the CRED service, monthly is 175 children from 6 to 36 months. The sample calculation was used and its result is 121 children from 6 to 36 months. The technique that will be applied is the survey, and at the same time the documentary file will be used to extract the results of the hemoglobin. Finally, to measure the practical variable of complementary feeding, it will be a questionnaire consisting of 13 items, divided into 2 dimensions such as: types of food consumed, made up of 6 questions, and frequency of food consumption, made up of 7 questions. The final value of the variable is unhealthy practices from 0 to 19 points and healthy practices from 20 to 39 points. For the second variable, which is iron deficiency anemia, the technique used is the collection of hemoglobin data, it will be obtained from the clinical history. In this way, the assessment scale can be established. This instrument was created in 2016 by the researchers: Álvarez Quiñones, Huamani Mendoza, Montoya Jiménez, Clara Trinidad, from the Cayetano Heredia University, and validated by expert judgment. Its reliability is 0.81 by Cron Bach alpha, which makes this instrument reliable for the application.

Objective: Determine the relationship that exists between the complementary feeding practices of mothers of children from 6 to 24 months and iron deficiency anemia, at the Neighborhood Unit Health Center No. 3, Cercado de Lima-2018. Material and methods: It is quantitative, correlational, cross-sectional, the population was made up of 100 mothers of children from 6 to 24 months from the Neighborhood Unit Health Center No. 3, Cercado de Lima-2018; Likewise, the interview technique and documentary analysis were used. The instrument used was a questionnaire for practices and a checklist to obtain hemoglobin results. To process the data, the Excel program was used, which was then exported to the SPSS program. Chi square test was used for statistical analysis. Results: Of the 100% (100) of the mothers surveyed of children from 6 to 24 months, 64% presented healthy eating practices and 36% unhealthy practices, of which the results were that 27% presented anemia and the 73% did not present anemia. Conclusion: There is a relationship between feeding practices and iron deficiency anemia in children from 6 to 24 months.

Objective: To determine the relationship between complementary feeding practices and the prevalence of anemia in children aged 06 to 36 months at the health center in the district of Lucanas - Ayacucho, 2022. Materials and methods: The research had a quantitative focus, applied type, hypothetical-deductive method, non-experimental design, with a correlational level and cross-sectional cut. The sample consisted of 80 mothers with children aged 06 to 36 months who were users of the health center. The technique used for data collection was the survey, and to measure complementary feeding practices, a standardized instrument was used, while for the variable prevalence of anemia, documented information from clinical records was used. Results: 32.5% of the surveyed mothers presented poor complementary feeding practices, and 67.5% had good complementary feeding practices. Additionally, 51.25% of the children did not have anemia, 27.5% had mild anemia, 15% had moderate anemia, and 6.25% had severe anemia. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between complementary feeding practices and the prevalence of anemia in children aged 06 to 36 months at the health center in the district of Lucanas - Ayacucho, 2022.

Introducción: Un óptimo grado de conocimiento de madres o cuidadoras sobre alimentación, podría garantizar un adecuado aporte nutricional del niño, como hierro y otros nutrientes, previniendo la anemia y sus consecuencias en el desarrollo cerebral del niño y en su futuro como adulto productivo; y para ello es fundamental que el profesional de enfermería durante su atención, brinde una adecuada consejería sobre nutrición y alimentación del niño. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento de las madres sobre alimentación complementaria y anemia en niños de 6 a 12 meses, del Centro Materno Infantil Juan Pablo II, Villa el Salvador, Lima-2023. Metodología: Estudio cuantitativo, de tipo aplicativo, correlacional, de corte transversal. La muestra está conformada por 111 madres y el instrumento utilizado para medir el grado de conocimiento de la madre es una encuesta que cuenta con una validez probada y una confiabilidad de alfa de cronbach de 0.888, así mismo se obtendrá los resultados de hemoglobina de los niños de las historias clínicas y se registrará en un formato de registro. Resultados: Los datos serán analizados en el programa estadístico SPSS versión 29 y se presentarán los resultados en tablas y gráficos; y para determinar la correlación entre variables se utilizará la prueba estadística del chi-cuadrado y para finalizar se presentará la discusión de los resultados, conclusiones y recomendaciones finales.

El presente trabajo de investigación tendrá como Objetivo: Determinar como el conocimiento de las madres sobre la alimentación complementaria se relacionan con la práctica en lactantes de 6 a 12 meses de un materno infantil de Lima, 2025. “Su metodología será de método hipotético – deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, aplicada, con diseño no experimental” de corte transversal y alcance correlacional. La población será conformada por 96 madres de lactantes de 6 a 12 meses de edad, como técnica se utilizará la encuesta y como instrumento se utilizará un cuestionario, un cuestionario con 20 interrogantes para mensurar “la variable de conocimiento” y el otro cuestionario de 11 interrogantes para mensurar “la variable de práctica”. “Para la verificación de la hipótesis formulada se empleará el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson para escalas ordinales con el propósito de unificar dos variables de tipo cuantitativo”.

El trabajo tiene como Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre los conocimientos y las prácticas de las madres de niños de 6 a 12 meses sobre alimentación complementaria en un centro de salud de Lima, 2025. Metodología: Se trabajará con el método cuantitativo a través de la estadística y mediciones ordinales, hipotético-deductivo, no experimental, transversal, correlacional y de tipo aplicada donde se busca aportar con el conocimiento del tema. Población: Se contará con 80 madres de niños de 6 a 12 meses. Respecto a la técnica ejecutada en el estudio para la recolección de datos será la encuesta, y se emplearán dos cuestionarios como instrumentos, validados por expertos y con alta fiabilidad. Se considerará en la investigación aplicar los principios de ética, justicia, autonomía, beneficencia y no beneficencia. La información recopilada se organizará en un repositorio de datos que será ingresada en el SPSS 25.0 con el fin de generar las estadísticas pertinentes tanto descriptivas con tablas de frecuencia y gráficos, así como la estadística inferencial, para analizar la asociación entre los fenómenos empleando el coeficiente de Spearman, que permitirá responder a los objetivos propuestos y poder brindar las recomendaciones del caso en base a ello. El estudio a través de sus resultados contribuirá en el desarrollo de estrategias de salud que busquen mejorar el grado de conocimientos y prácticas de las madres en cuanto a la alimentación complementaria, lo que a su vez se enfoca en mejorar la salud integral de los niños.

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo general “Determinar la relación entre conocimiento y prácticas maternas sobre alimentación complementaria a niños entre 6 a 12 meses” con una metodología empleada inductivo- deductivo con un enfoque cuantitativo, aplicada, descriptivo, transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 352 madres con lactantes de 6 a 12 meses con una muestra de 184 madres, para evaluar las variables conocimiento y prácticas se utilizará el cuestionario que fue desarrollado y validado por Barzola en 2018, que incluye 25 preguntas abiertas, que se dividen 15 preguntas para la variable conocimiento dividida en 2 dimensiones aspectos generales de la alimentación complementaria, característica de los alimentos complementarios y 10 preguntas para las practicas maternas dividida en 4 dimensiones manipulación e introducción los alimentos, alimentación durante la enfermedad, interacción al alimentar a los niños y ambiente de crianza apropiado que está validado con una confiabilidad (Kudder Richardson con un resultado de 0.62) para los datos recopilados se realizará la supervisión de calidad de la información de forma manual, luego se edificará la fuente de información directo en SPSSv.25.0; se guardará los datos obtenidos. La cifra de la información se realizará mediante estadística descriptiva, la cual ayudará a identificar características de la población que se presentarán en tablas simples y redundantes que contendrán porcentajes y frecuencias absolutas.

Los problemas del estado nutricional persisten afectando de manera significativa a los niños menores de 3 años. Objetivo: El presente trabajo académico tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre los conocimientos de los padres sobre alimentación complementaria y el estado nutricional de los niños de 6 a 24 meses atendidos en el consultorio de crecimiento y desarrollo de un establecimiento de salud. Método y materiales: La investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo, aplicada, de diseño no experimental, transversal y correlacional. La muestra estará conformada por 185 padres y niños de 6 a 24 meses de edad que figuren en padrón nominal del establecimiento de salud. Para la recolección de datos se hará uso de un cuestionario y una ficha de recolección de datos antropométricos de los niños; luego, se pasará la información al programa SPSS para mostrar en cuadros estadísticos los resultados y corroborar las hipótesis.

Objetivo general: “Determinar como el conocimiento sobre la prevención de la anemia se relaciona con las prácticas alimentarias en madres de niños de 6 a 35 meses atendidos en un, centro de salud”. Materiales y Métodos: se trata de una investigación con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo hipotético-deductivo, aplicada, observacional, de corte transversal, con un nivel relacional y carácter prospectivo. El universo del estudio estará compuesto por 120 madres de niños entre 6 y 36 meses que participan en el programa CRED del centro de salud en análisis. La muestra será censal, dado que se cuenta con una población reducida y fácilmente manejable. Se aplicarán criterios de inclusión y exclusión con el objetivo de reducir posibles sesgos en la información. La técnica de recolección de datos será la encuesta, utilizando un cuestionario como instrumento. La información obtenida será organizada en una matriz de Excel y se aplicará estadística tanto descriptiva como inferencial. Los resultados serán presentados mediante tablas y gráficos, respetando en todo momento los principios éticos de la investigación.

El estudio se realizará en un puesto de salud de Lima y tendrá como objetivo determinar el conocimiento de las madres sobre alimentación complementaria en niños de 6 a 12 meses en un puesto de salud de Lima en el año 2024. La metodología utilizada fue cuantitativa, hipotético deductivo, de tipo aplicado, diseño no experimental, corte transversal y nivel correlacional. La muestra consistió en 66 madres de familia, a quienes se aplicó un Cuestionario de Conocimientos sobre alimentación complementaria. Para el análisis de la información se empleará el programa de SSPS versión 29, los resultados serán expresados en tablas y figuras a través del programa Excel y la comprobación de la relación de las variables se usará la prueba de correlación de Spearman.

Effectiveness of a complementary feeding program for the reduction of malnutrition in children

Objective: Analyze and systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of a complementary feeding program to reduce malnutrition in children. Material and Methods: Systematic observational and retrospective quantitative review, subjected to critical selection, using the Grade evaluation system for selection, reviewed in the following sources: Cochrane, Scielo, Minedu Repository, Pesquisa. The evidence was difficult to find, there are few studies on this topic. Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 60% (n= 6/10) are systematic reviews, 40% (n= 4/10) are randomized controlled trials and 10% (n= 1/10) are cohort studies. According to the results of the countries of South Africa (10%), Brazil (20%), Spain (10%), Colombia (10%), Peru (20%), followed by Argentina (10%) and the USA (10% ), Mexico (10%). Results: Likewise, of the results found, 80% (n=8/10) indicate that Complementary Feeding is Effective in reducing malnutrition in children. Complementary feeding is of utmost importance in children under five years of age, as it will help prevent nutritional disorders and avoid chronic diseases in the future.

Effectiveness of educational interventions on complementary feeding practices among mothers to improve the nutritional status of children under 2 years old

Objective: Systematize evidence on the effectiveness of educational interventions on complementary feeding practices in mothers to improve the nutritional status of children under 2 years of age. Material and Method: 10 systematic scientific articles were reviewed on the effectiveness of educational interventions on complementary feeding practices in mothers to improve the nutritional status of children under 2, located in the following databases Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo , Medline Pubmed, analyzed with the Grade scale to determine its strength and quality of evidence. Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 50% (5/10) correspond to a systematic review, 30% (3/10) are randomized trials, 10% (1/10) are experimental and 10% (1/10) are descriptive observation. Of the 10 articles reviewed systematically, 100% (10/10) evidence the effectiveness of educational interventions on complementary feeding practices in mothers to improve the nutritional status of children under 2. Conclusions: Of the 10 articles reviewed , 100% (10/10) ensure the effectiveness of educational interventions in mothers to improve complementary feeding practices in children under 2 years of age.

Effectiveness of the "Madres del futuro" program in the level of knowledge of mothers about complementary feeding for children from 6 to 12 months, Lince Health Center

This thesis aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Madres del Futuro program in improving the knowledge level of mothers regarding complementary feeding for children aged 6 to 12 months at the Lince Health Center. It was a pre-experimental study with a pre-post design in a single group. The study population consisted of 240 mothers of children aged 6 to 12 months who receive monthly care at the Growth and Development consultation of the Lince Health Center. A sample of 50 mothers was selected based on pre-established inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were collected using a 15-question questionnaire with closed multiple-choice answers, and its validity and reliability were determined through expert judgment (binomial test p < 0.05). Additionally, the Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient was used (p = 0.73). The results showed that the mothers' knowledge level before the program (pretest) was medium (46%), with a tendency towards low (32%), while after the program (posttest), the mothers reached a high knowledge level (60%), with a tendency towards medium (40%). No mothers were found with a low knowledge level. It was concluded that the implemented educational program was effective (Chi-square: 15.285).

The objective of the research is to determine the relationship that exists between Knowledge and practice on complementary feeding in each mother and child under 2 years of age at the Chiclayo health center, 2024. The Methodology, the design is non-experimental with a quantitative and descriptive correlational approach, the sample It was determined by 120 mothers with a child under 2 years of age who are cared for in the Growth and Development Service of the Chiclayo Health Center. To collect the information, the Likert scale instrument will be applied, which has twenty-five questions. Every ethical principle and criterion of scientific will be respected. Having mentioned this, it will be possible to conclude the level of knowledge of the mothers and their practices in complementary feeding.

Objective: To analyze the knowledge and practices of mothers of children aged 6 to 12 months regarding complementary feeding. Materials and Methods: The research follows a quantitative approach, using a hypothetical-deductive method, general observation, applied type, non-experimental cross-sectional and correlational design. The methodology is of a quantifiable nature, descriptive, and non-experimental in design. The study was conducted with a population of 108 mothers, with a sample of 84 mothers who participated through two instruments: a 17-item questionnaire to assess knowledge of complementary feeding and a 20-item questionnaire to evaluate practices regarding complementary feeding. The study focuses on two variables: knowledge and practices related to complementary feeding.The results will be collected using the survey technique and the aforementioned instruments, which have a validity of 93% according to Aiken's V and a binomial test with a P value of 0.00098. The reliability of the instruments is confirmed with a Kuder-Richardson coefficient of 0.720 and a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.770, respectively. For data processing, the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22.0 will be used, along with Excel for Windows 2016 for data entry. A structured database matrix will be utilized for data entry based on the measurement instruments. Descriptive results will be presented in tables and figures to demonstrate the levels developed for each variable and dimension. Inferential results will also be obtained to test the study hypotheses using Spearman's Rho coefficient.

Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and dietary practices regarding iron deficiency anemia in mothers of children aged 6 to 35 months at the La Tulpuna Health Center. A quantitative, correlational, and cross-sectional study was conducted, with a sample of 45 mothers. The results show a positive and significant correlation between the level of knowledge about iron deficiency anemia and the dietary practices of mothers with children aged 6 to 35 months (Spearman's Rho = 0.405; p < 0.01). Furthermore, a significant relationship was found between the dimensions of basic knowledge, causes, consequences, and diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia and the dietary practices of the mothers (p < 0.05). However, no correlation was found between the dimension of consequences and prevention of iron deficiency anemia and the dietary practices of mothers with children aged 6 to 35 months (p > 0.05). Additionally, a deficient level of knowledge about iron deficiency anemia was found in 55.6% of the surveyed mothers, and inadequate dietary practices were found in 53.3% of them. In conclusion, there is a direct and significant relationship between the variables of knowledge about iron deficiency anemia and the dietary practices of mothers with children aged 6 to 35 months.

Objective: To establish the link between the degree of knowledge with complementary feeding practices in mothers of children aged 6 to 12 months in a hospital in Lima, in the year 2023. The method of this particular study is quantitative, hypotheticodeductive, applied, non-experimental and cross-sectional. The population of inquiry is composed of 80 mothers with children aged 6 to 12 months. Two questionnaires, each with a high reliability equivalent of 0.810 and 0.812, will be used to measure varying levels of knowledge and practicality. One questionnaire has 16 questions, while the other has 14. Data analysis will be performed using an Excel spreadsheet. Descriptive analyses will be presented using tables and graphs for each variable and dimension. Spearman's correlation coefficient will be applied to identify the links between variables in the inferential analysis.

Introduction: Complementary feeding is the stage in which solid or liquid foods other than breastfeeding are offered to the child and serves to complement, not replace, breast milk. The health status of the infant is related to the nutrients in its feeding regimen and depends on the knowledge and practices acquired by the mother; therefore, insufficient knowledge will lead to inadequate practice. Objective: Determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and the practice of complementary feeding in mothers of children from 6 months to 23 months in a National Hospital 2023. Methodology: The hypothetical deductive method, quantitative approach, type of applied research, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and correlational level will be used. The sample will be made up of 309 mothers of children from 6 to 23 months who attend the children's clinic of a National Hospital. The technique will be interview and observation and as instruments will be a questionnaire and an observation guide that will be applied after informed consent, both instruments are validated and are reliable to measure the variables in question. The data collected will be processed in SPSS and to determine the relationship between the variables that are part of the study, the Pearson statistical technique will be applied.
