Publicación Acceso abierto Árbol de decisión y la evaluación sexual no métrica del cráneo en una muestra contemporánea digital - Chachapoyas 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-06-24) Manriquez Zapata, Héctor Miguel; Montellanos Cabrera, Henry SamThe objective of the study was to evaluate the relationship of the Decision Tree method and the Non-Metric Sex Assessment proposed by Langley to determine the true sex using a contemporary digital sample from the Province of Chachapoyas, Amazonas Region - Peru 2023. A quantitative study, since morphological dimensions of the skull were used to then quantify its characteristics, which were statistically analyzed for validation and effectiveness in reference to parameters established in the Langley method (2018). The sample was 80 digital images of skulls (ranging from 30 years to 50 years) following what was proposed by forensic identification techniques for determining sex in bone structures. As a technique, an exhaustive analysis of the skulls of a specific population was used to identify the sexual characteristics that allow sex to be determined (morphological characteristics of the glabella, zygomatic extension and mastoid process). To determine the relationship between limitations of facial identification with the use of the morpho face investigate system, from OFICRI Peru’s National Police Cusco, 2019. Materials and methods: Non-experimental, correlational study. There was a population of 103 expert reports archived in the facial biometrics-MFI section of the OFICRI PNP Cusco, for which observation technique and a data collection sheet were used as an instrument. Results: 103 expert reports were analyzed, according to the correlation of Rho de Spearman it has a probability P=0.000 of relation is significant at 1%. , where the technology and internal links of the MFI system has a coefficient of 0.748 and with external links 0.605, between image and internal links of the MFI system has 0.483 and external links 0.369, between the environmental factors and internal links of the MFI system is 0.413 and external links of 0.359, the correlation between facial identification and use of the MFI system, it has a 0.598.Conclusion: Research has found that the limitations of facial identification, such as technologies, images, environmental factors influence image recognition through the MFI system, at the same time this prevents links in the database of the same system as that of RENIEC, resulting in minimal results in an identification by facial features.
