Regarding the specific hypotheses, a very strong directly proportional relationship was observed between functional capacity and the dimensions of eating, personal hygiene, bowel control, and urinary control. A strong directly proportional relationship was also found with the dimensions of transferring from the chair to the bed and using the toilet. A medium directly proportional relationship was found with the dimension of dressing and undressing. A weak directly proportional relationship was found with the dimensions of bathing and climbing/descending stairs (in all cases, the p-value was p < 0.05). Finally, no significant directly proportional relationship was found with the dimension of mobility. Conclusions: Regarding the general hypothesis, it was observed that there is a strong, significant, directly proportional relationship between the two main variables, functional capacity and quality of life.
