Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of educational intervention for the prevention and early detection of breast cancer in women of childbearing age.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-07-07) Huapaya Goycochea, Pilar Aracelli; Rivera Lozada de Bonilla, OrianaObjective: To systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of educational interventions for the prevention and early detection of breast cancer in women of fertile age. Materials and Methods: A systematic review of retrospective studies was conducted, allowing for information synthesis, increasing the validity of conclusions from individual studies, and being fundamental for the scientific practice of nursing. Full-text articles were included and subjected to critical reading, using the GRADE system to assign the strength of recommendation. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, with 90% (9) from Cuba and 10% (1) from Mexico. The studies were of a pre-experimental design. Of the total articles analyzed, 100% (10/10) confirm that educational interventions for the prevention and early detection of breast cancer in women of fertile age are effective, and more than 70% of women had insufficient knowledge about the prevention and early detection of breast cancer before the educational intervention. After the intervention, more than 80% gained sufficient knowledge about breast cancer prevention and early detection. Conclusions: The 10 articles systematically analyzed showed the effectiveness of educational interventions for the prevention and early detection of breast cancer in women of fertile age.
