    This research will be carried out in the neonatology nursing field and its development will focus on the biosociocultural factors and the knowledge of jaundice that mothers of neonates have, considering the important role they play in preventing neonates from being affected by this physiological phenomenon that It can appear if the necessary care is not taken, putting your health and even life at risk. OBJECTIVE: to determine the relationship between biosociocultural factors associated with the knowledge that mothers have about neonatal jaundice at the Essalud Hospital of Tarapoto, 2021. MATERIALS AND METHODS: it will be quantitative, basic, descriptive and correlational, not cross-sectional experimental. The sample will be 40 mothers of newborns who have jaundice. The technique will be the survey and the instruments will be a sheet of biosociocultural factors and a questionnaire on knowledge of jaundice.

    The research will be carried out in the neonatal intensive care environment and addresses a highly critical problem regarding biosociocultural factors and knowledge of jaundice in mothers of newborns, since it has been detected that the role, they play in reducing the possibility of involvement by jaundice it is not being fully fulfilled, exposing them to complex situations that may compromise their lives. OBJECTIVE: to determine the relationship between biosociocultural factors and the level of knowledge about neonatal jaundice in mothers who attend a hospital in the Ica region in 2023. MATERIALS AND METHODS: the approach will be quantitative, the type applied, cross-sectional design - no experimental and correlational descriptive level. 80 mothers of neonates will participate. The technique will be the survey and a file and a questionnaire will be applied. To establish probable relationships between variables, the non-parametric Spearman's Rho test will be used.

    Coping strategies in mothers of newborns with jaundice at the Intermediate Neonatology Service I, National Maternal Perinatal Institute – Lima - 2019

    Introduction: Neonatal jaundice occurs in 65-70% of newborns, and in most cases, it is related to unconjugated or indirect hyperbilirubinemia and its evolution is completely favorable. In circumstances, if unconjugated bilirubinemia reaches or exceeds very high values ​​such as 15 mg/dl, there is a risk of neurological complications. Objective: Determine the coping strategies in mothers of newborn children with jaundice in the Intermediate Neonatology Service I of the National Maternal Perinatal Institute, Lima - 2019. Materials and methods: The present study has a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional approach and design, the population It consisted of 98 newborns with jaundice from the Intermediate Neonatology Service I, Maternal Perinatal Institute. For this, the COPE-28 instrument was used in the version adapted to the original Spanish Brif COPE, the technique used was the interview. The SPSS 23 program was used for the analysis. Results: The total coping strategies were moderately adequate, almost all of them (98%) with a small tendency towards inadequacy (2%). Conclusion: In relation to coping strategies in mothers of newborns with jaundice from the Intermedios I Neonatology Service, Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal, Lima – 2019, moderately adequate coping predominated, followed by inadequate coping. There were no mothers who presented adequate coping.

    Effectiveness of masotherapy in the reduction of neonatal jaundice in newborns.

    Objective: To systematize the available scientific evidence on the effectiveness of massage therapy in reducing neonatal jaundice in newborns. Material and Methods: Systematic review of scientific articles found about the effectiveness of massage therapy in reducing neonatal jaundice in newborns, which were analyzed using the Grade scale to establish their strength and quality of evidence, were reviewed in the following databases: Dialnet, Lilacs, Pubmed, Scielo, Cochrane, Ebsco; Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 30% (n = 3/10) are systematic reviews, 20% are meta-analyses (n = 2/10), 30% (n = 3/10) are controlled clinical trials, 10% (n = 1/10) are quasi-experimental, 10% (n = 1/10) are systematic reviews and meta-analyses. The review of the articles shows that 90% (n = 9/10) report that massage therapy is effective for reducing neonatal jaundice in newborns, and 10% conclude that massage therapy is not effective for reducing neonatal jaundice in newborns. Conclusion: The studies reviewed in this work indicate that there is sufficient scientific evidence to corroborate the effectiveness of massage therapy in reducing neonatal jaundice in newborns.

    Effectiveness of phototherapy compared to phototherapy plus zinc sulfate in reducing bilirubin levels in neonates with jaundice

    Of the total of 10 articles analyzed, 70% of the studies demonstrate that phototherapy alone was significantly more effective in the treatment of hyperbilirubinemia, compared to the use of zinc sulfate plus phototherapy. The remaining 30% showed that there is no significant difference between one intervention and another. It is demonstrated that phototherapy will continue to be the most effective treatment in the treatment of neonatal jaundice.

    Efficacy of transcutaneous bilirubinometer vs. serum bilirubin to detect pathologic jaundice in newborns from 35 to 42 weeks.

    The objective of the study is to systematize the effectiveness of transcutaneous bilirubinometer vs. serum bilirubin for detecting pathological jaundice in newborns between 35 and 42 weeks. Material and method: A systematic review study with an observational and retrospective design, reviewing ten studies both nationally and internationally. In the results: The systematic review of the 10 articles highlights that 50% of the published samples indicate that both serum bilirubin and transcutaneous bilirubinometer are equally reliable methods for determining pathological jaundice in neonates. On the other hand, the remaining 50% refers to 10% where serum bilirubin is effective but with some toxicity, and 40% indicate that the transcutaneous bilirubinometer method is more reliable and usable in healthcare settings worldwide for detecting neonatal pathological jaundice by healthcare professionals. The conclusions regarding its application and use in hospitals show that the transcutaneous bilirubinometer is the most effective method as a preventive diagnosis for predicting and detecting pathological jaundice in newborns between 35 and 42 weeks, considering transcutaneous bilirubin as effective.

    Factores de riesgo y su relación con la ictericia neonatal en el recién nacido en el servicio de alojamiento conjunto en un hospital del Ministerio de Salud de Lima, 2024

    Introducción: La coloración amarillenta de tejidos cutáneos y mucosos que se percibe en un gran número de neonatos es una manifestación clínica habitual, provocada por un aumento en los niveles sanguíneos del pigmento biliar denominado bilirrubina. En un hospital del Ministerio de Salud de Lima, la identificación y evaluación temprana de factores de riesgo resulta crucial para prevenir complicaciones severas como la encefalopatía bilirrubínica. Estos factores comprenden aspectos maternos específicos como edad materna avanzada, presencia de diabetes gestacional, incompatibilidades sanguíneas y modalidad del parto, además de determinantes socioeconómicos y culturales que impactan en el acceso oportuno a servicios de salud. La presente investigación busca examinar estos factores de riesgo en el contexto del servicio de alojamiento conjunto, con el propósito de generar evidencia que permita optimizar los protocolos de atención neonatal y mejorar los resultados en salud tanto para los recién nacidos como para sus familias. Objetivo: Determinar los factores de riesgo asociados al desarrollo de ictericia en neonatos hospitalizados en el área de alojamiento conjunto de un hospital público de Lima. Metodología: La investigación empleará una metodología hipotético-deductiva, con enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, corte transversal y nivel correlacional. Se estudiará una población de 126 neonatos, con una muestra calculada de 95 pacientes. La recolección de datos utilizará dos instrumentos validados y confiables: el cuestionario "Factores de riesgo maternos y neonatales" y la "Ficha de contenido ictericia neonatal". Para el análisis estadístico se empleará el software SPSS versión 26, aplicando el coeficiente Rho de Spearman para la prueba de hipótesis.

    Factors associated with neonatal jaundice in a full-term newborn in the Maison de Sante clinic from January-September Lima - Peru 2019

    Introduction: Neonatal jaundice is defined as yellow pigmentation of the skin and mucous membranes, and is considered one of the most common pathologies in newborns. It occurs as a result of increased serum bilirubin concentrations and is associated with a series of predisposing factors present in the mother-child binomial. Aim. Identify the factors associated with neonatal jaundice at term in the Maison de Sante clinic within the period of January - September 2019. Materials and Methods. Quantitative approach. The study is of an applied type, Scope or level of explanatory application, non-experimental or observational, retrospective research design. Data from 120 medical records of full-term neonates with this diagnosis will be used. Subsequently, the data will be processed in the SPSS version 24 program through the use of statistics. The association will be made using the chi-square for qualitative variables.

    Factors associated with neonatal jaundice in term newborns at Hospital Barranca - Cajatambo, 2020

    This research study will have a quantitative approach. Non-experimental design since there will be no manipulation by the researcher. Likewise, the study method will be descriptive cross-sectional, since the behavior of the variable at a specific time and place will be described based on the observation of newborn medical records (26). The population will be made up of 150 Clinical Records of full-term newborns with a diagnosis of neonatal jaundice in the months of April to November 2020 according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The technique that will be used is observation since the necessary information will be obtained from the medical records; having as an instrument a data collection sheet, for measuring the associated factors. The next instrument to be used is an instrument validated by five experts, it met the content, criterion and construct validity, the Cronbach coefficient of 0.89 was used, which proves the high reliability between the items, by the author Cosser K ( 20), used in 2019.

    INTRODUCTION: Neonatal jaundice represents one of the most frequent causes of hospital readmission. The present investigation will demonstrate the influence that exists between the sociocultural factors that postpartum mothers have as a determining component on the level of knowledge they acquire about neonatal jaundice, promoting the implementation of teaching-learning strategies considering the important role they play. them in the care of the newborn. OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship that exists between sociocultural factors and knowledge about neonatal jaundice in postpartum mothers. METHODS: The present study will be based on the application of the hypothetical deductive method, with a quantitative correlational approach. For which a representative sample made up of 185 postpartum women will be taken into account, taking into account certain inclusion criteria. Likewise, this study has the advantage of using validated and reliable instruments that have been used in previous studies.
