Ítem Acceso abierto Diagnostic validity of the brazilian formula compared to the precipitation method for the estimation of low density lipoprotein in the Zarate health center in lima Perú, year 2022.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-06-04) Fernández Anaya, Cecilia Veronica; Huamán Cárdenas, Victor RaulTo determine the diagnostic validity of the Brazilian formula compared to the precipitation method for estimating low-density lipoprotein. Methodology: The research method is hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, descriptive, and non-experimental, based on 353 lipid profile results from patient records between January 2 and December 31, 2018. Results: Of the 353 results, 237 (67.1%) were from women, and 116 (32.9%) from men. The most common age group was adults aged 30-59 years, with 175 results (49.6%). There was a moderate level of agreement for the Brazilian formula. Conclusion: The Brazilian formula showed 93.8% sensitivity, 81.7% specificity, 93.5% positive predictive value, and 82.6% negative predictive value compared to the precipitation method.
