Ítem Acceso abierto (Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-12-07) Cruzado Valeriano, Delly Hermelinda; Cuba Navarrete, Luduvina Editta; Ayala Peralta, Félix DasioUterine rupture is a clinical situation that may occur during labor or, more rarely, during pregnancy, with severe consequences for both maternal and fetal life. The possibility of uterine rupture in an intact uterus is rare, but prevalent risk factors such as multiparity, dystocia, fetal macrosomia, use of oxytocin, breech deliveries, obstetric trauma, internal and external fetal versions, uterine abnormalities, misuse of prostaglandins, and instrumental deliveries are described. This clinical case involves a 44-year-old multiparous patient at 38 weeks of gestation with uterine hypokinesia and a third-degree facial presentation. Fetal bradycardia was noted, and an immediate cesarean section revealed uterine rupture with posterior uterine segment rupture, followed by a cesarean hysterectomy and unilateral right salpingo-oophorectomy. The patient recovered well and was discharged with her newborn on the 7th postoperative day.Ítem Acceso abierto Characteristics of childbirth and the newborn in parturient women who received obstetric psychoprophylaxis at the Félix Mayorca Soto hospital, Tarma during the year 2019.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-10-11) Daza Gutierrez, Moraiba; Morales Alvarado, Sabrina YnésMaterials and Methods: This is a simple descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional, observational, and analytical study at an exploratory level. It included 35 women in labor who participated in six sessions of obstetric psychoprophylaxis, as recorded in the Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis logbook, with clinical histories used to collect data on labor and newborn outcomes. Results: Of the 35 women who received obstetric psychoprophylaxis sessions during pregnancy, 85.7% had vaginal deliveries, and 14.3% underwent scheduled cesarean sections. Among the women who arrived through emergency care, 76.7% presented with cervical dilation between 0–3 cm. Of those with vaginal deliveries, 66.7% underwent episiotomies. In 86.7% of cases, the total duration of vaginal labor was less than 10 hours. At five minutes postpartum, 100% of the newborns had an Apgar score greater than 8. All newborns weighed between 2,500 and 4,000 grams. Conclusion: Obstetric psychoprophylaxis is essential for achieving favorable outcomes during labor and delivery, as well as for newborn outcomes in primiparous women. In 86.7% of cases, the total duration of vaginal labor was under 10 hours. Additionally, normal Apgar scores and weights were observed in all newborns, with no neonatal complications.Ítem Acceso abierto The obstetric psychoprophylaxis program and its influence on periods of labor.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-02) Pineda Marin, Lilibeth; Reyes Serrano, Bertha NathalyObjective: To determine the influence of the Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis Program on the different stages of labor in 2021. Methodology: A qualitative systematic review of scientific studies published in various virtual databases such as Microsoft Academic, Alicia, and Google Scholar. Study sample: The study sample consisted of 35 studies published in various virtual libraries over a period of no more than five years. Instrumentation: The Grade system was used to analyze each study. Results: Of the 35 selected studies, 29 were of high and moderate quality according to the GRADE system. Similarly, in the analyzed studies concerning the stages of labor—dilation, expulsive, and delivery—12 studies were identified. Regarding the number of sessions of the Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis Program, 4 studies were identified, and 13 studies examined sociodemographic factors. Conclusions: Based on the studies, it is evident that obstetric psychoprophylaxis positively influences labor, providing significant benefits for both mother and baby.Ítem Acceso abierto Positions of the second stage of labor and their association with outcomes maternal.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-08-03) Leon Clemente, Karen Andrea; Arone Palomino, Susana FilomenaThe objective of the research is to determine the scientific evidence regarding the association of positions during the second stage of labor with maternal outcomes. The study design was a systematic review. Information was collected by searching articles in electronic databases such as PubMed, Dialnet, Cochrane, ScienceDirect, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Google Scholar, and repositories from international and national universities. A total of 30 studies published between 2017 and 2021 were selected. After analyzing the articles, the results showed that the vertical position during the second stage of labor provides a positive perception among women, reduces pain, the duration of the expulsive stage, and the use of medications compared to the horizontal position. It was concluded that there is an association between positions during the second stage of labor and maternal outcomes.
