Publicación Acceso abierto Monitorización de los parámetros bioquímicos de las enzimas TGO, TGP y creatinina en pacientes pediátricos con leucemia linfoblástica aguda que reciben tratamiento de metrotexato año 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-11-03) Sandoval Chujutalli, Sara; Vega Leon, Claudio Kolbe; Parreño Tipián, Juan ManuelThe monitoring of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (AST), glutamic pyruvic transaminase (ALT), and creatinine was performed in 30 children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) receiving methotrexate treatment at a National Pediatric Institute in 2017. The study was non-experimental quantitative, retrospective, and longitudinal, utilizing optimized UV methods in the laboratory. The objective was to determine the behavior of the serum levels of the hepatic enzymes AST, ALT, and Creatinine in children, as well as the assessment of methotrexate levels at 0, 24, and 48 hours post-infusion. Results: There was a significant increase in ALT and creatinine levels from zero to 48 hours post-infusion. The percentage of elevated values was lowest in children under 6 years old and highest in the older children. The sample was split into two exact halves regarding gender. Conclusion: The enzymatic tests AST, ALT, and creatinine were found to be elevated in children with ALL treated with methotrexate, compared to the normal values. This is attributed to the existing tumor lysis syndrome and the release of intracellular elements.Publicación Acceso abierto Prevalencia de reacciones adversas en pacientes tratados con L-asparaginasa del servicio de Hematología Pediátrica del HNERM, enero 2018–febrero 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-08-12) Canelo Chavez, Luis Lorenzo; Caldas Herrera, EmmaThe objective of this research was to determine the prevalence of adverse reactions to L-asparaginase (L-ASP) in children under 15 with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in the pediatric hematology service of the HNERM from January 2018 to February 2019. Methodology: The approach was quantitative, with a basic, descriptive, and retrospective research type. The population consisted of 56 patient clinical records, in which the drug was used 382 times. Results: The prevalence was 3.93%. The most common ADR was erythematous papules, dermal rash, or urticaria (13.33%). The incidence was frequent (86.7%), and 60% of reactions were of mild severity. 100% of reactions were type B ADRs, and 93.3% were to native L-asparaginase. The prevalent regimen and dose was block I and 100 IU SC (20%). The causality of the ADRs, using the Karch and Lasagna Algorithm, was 33.3% mild, 60% moderate, and 6.67% severe. It was also considered possible that ADRs would appear in 53.33% of cases. Conclusion: It is concluded that the prevalence of adverse reactions to L-asparaginase in children under 15 with ALL, in the pediatric hematology service of the HNERM from January 2018 to February 2019, is 3.93%.
