The present secondary research titled as a critical review: Influence of physical activity on health status in pediatric patients with leukemia, aimed to identify the influence of physical activity on health status in pediatric patients with leukemia in the maintenance phase. or at the end of your antineoplastic treatment. The clinical question was: What is the influence of physical activity on the health status of pediatric patients with leukemia in the maintenance phase or at the end of their antineoplastic treatment? The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NUBE) methodology was used. The information search was carried out in the PUMED, HINARI and SCIENCEDIRECT search engines. 92 articles were found, 10 articles were selected that have been evaluated by the CASPE critical reading tool in which the randomized clinical trial titled: An experimental training program integrated with training to promote physical activity and reduce fatigue among children with cancer: a randomized controlled trial, which has a level of evidence 1 and a strong grade of recommendation, according to the researcher's criteria. The critical commentary allowed us to conclude that the integrated experimental learning program was effective in promoting physical activity, reducing cancer-related fatigue, improving muscle strength, quality of life, and improving children's physical activity self-efficacy. with cancer.Ítem Acceso abierto Critical Review: Nutrition and treatment of leukemia:relationship with survival in pediatric patients.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-05-06) Macazana Florencio, Johana Milagros; Bohórquez Medina, Andrea LisbetNutritional intervention is important because it allows us to work on the prevention and treatment of diseases. The present secondary research titled as a critical review: Nutrition and treatment of leukemia: Relationship with survival in pediatric patients, aimed to demonstrate the changes in nutritional status in the different stages of oncological treatment and the relationship with survival. The clinical question was: Is there a relationship between nutrition and survival in pediatric patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia? The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was used. The information search was carried out in PUBMED, SCIELO, SCOPUS, LILACS, EMBASE, finding 102 articles, 24 being selected that have been evaluated by the CASPE critical reading tool, finally selecting the Systematic Review entitled Cellular oxidative stress in patients with Pediatric leukemia and lymphoma undergoing treatment is associated with protein consumption, which has a level of evidence IA and Strong Grade of Recommendation, according to the researcher's expertise. The critical commentary allowed us to conclude that more research is needed to explore complex interactions between macro- and micronutrient consumption over longer periods of time.Ítem Acceso abierto Quality of nursing care and family satisfaction in the hospitalization of a patient with childhood leukemia in the pediatric service of a hospital in Trujillo, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-18) Rios Asto, Mariela Viviana; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoIntroduction: User satisfaction is an indicator of the quality of care that users are receiving from health services; therefore, identifying satisfaction levels allows problems to be improved and strengths to be further strengthened. in order to provide quality care. Objective: “To determine the relationship that exists between the quality of care and the satisfaction of the family member in the hospitalization of the patient with childhood leukemia in the Pediatrics service of a hospital, 2024.” Methods: The hypothetical-deductive method, quantitative approach, nonexperimental design and correlational level were considered. A sample of 80 relatives of patients with leukemia treated in the pediatric service was considered, to whom the questionnaire will be applied in order to know their perception. Regarding quality of nursing care and satisfaction, the CARE-Q and the PSQ-18 have proven validity and in relation to reliability, the CARE-Q instrument has a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.900 and the PSQ18 instrument has an Alpha coefficient of 0.900. Cronbach of 0.900. The results will be analyzed through the use of the SPSS v26 statistical program, as well as presented through frequency tables and bar graphs, subsequently the findings will be discussed by comparing the results obtained with previous studies and theories.Ítem Acceso abierto Quality of nursing care and satisfaction of patients hospitalized with acute leukemia at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-03-13) Huachua Vilca, Teresita Jesus; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoEvaluating user satisfaction regarding the quality of care received from the nurse by the hospitalized patient with acute leukemia becomes relevant at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases because it is an important indicator to measure the quality of the service in general, being essential to improve and provide better service to the patient with this serious disease. Therefore, the purpose of the research is to determine the relationship that exists between the quality of nursing care and the satisfaction of the hospitalized patient with acute leukemia at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases, 2022. The research manuscript presented has a quantitative approach, likewise, it is applied, regarding its design, it is transversal, descriptive and correlational. The sample resulted in 132 patients. For this study, a survey will be carried out as a technique, applying two questionnaires as an instrument with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient greater than 0.7 demonstrating acceptable consistency.Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship of the immunophenotype by cytometry with the therapeutic evolution, in patients from 0 to 16 years with myeloid and lymphoid leukemia, of oncohematology of the carlos alberto seguin escobedo hospital, January 2016 - December 2020.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-11) Manrique Almenara, Gabriela Sofia; Ascarza Gallegos, Justo AngeloLeukemias are a heterogeneous group of diseases characterized by the infiltration of neoplastic cells from the hematopoietic system into the bone marrow, blood, and other tissues. Studies show that leukemia is the most common malignancy in children, accounting for 30 to 38% of cancers in individuals under 15 years of age, with 75% being acute lymphoblastic leukemia and 20-25% being acute myeloblastic leukemia. Flow Cytometry Immunophenotyping is a technique used to indirectly study antigenic expressions of importance. The antibody panels used help identify normal maturation pathways, aiding in distinguishing these from abnormal ones seen in dysplastic processes. Furthermore, therapeutic evolution refers to how a disease is controlled with pharmacological or other treatments, with continuous monitoring of the treatment process. Finalmente, se eligió el metanálisis o revisión sistemática titulado “Are Pediatric Cancer Patients a Risk Group for Vitamin D Deficiency? A Systematic Review” que presenta rango de evidencia “AI” y Grado de Recomendación “Fuerte”, de acuerdo a la experiencia del investigador. El análisis crítico concluyó que la carencia de vitamina D es frecuente entre los pacientes pediátricos con leucemia. Aunque no hay estudios de gran magnitud que confirmen la efectividad de suplementar con vitamina D para mejorar los resultados en el tratamiento del cáncer, existe una elevación notable entre niveles adecuados de vitamina D y un pronóstico más optimista.Ítem Acceso abierto Risk of leukemia in children of parents exposed to pesticides(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Miranda Silva, Jessica Mabel; Palomino Yupanqui, Katherine Yesenia; Calsin Pacompia, WilmerMaterial and methods: The systematic review of the 10 scientific articles on the risk of leukemia in children of parents exposed to pesticides were found in the following databases: Wiley One library, Science direct, Scientific Research Publishing, Wolters Kluwer, BioMed Central, Pubmed, Medline.
