Ítem Acceso abierto (Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2015) Sihuay Espinoza, Fiviana Danitsa; Galvez Ramirez, Carlos MichellThe objective of this research was to determine the factors associated with the noise level produced by high and low-speed rotary instruments according to usage time, brand, and maintenance. The study was descriptive, observational, prospective, and cross-sectional. A total of 128 rotary instruments, both high and low speed, were used, and the noise level was measured using a sound level meter during cavity preparation on models with natural teeth. The results showed that the average noise levels of the high and low-speed rotary instruments were below 85 decibels (dB). According to usage time, the highest noise level was found between 4 to 5 years for both types of instruments. By brand, the highest noise level for high-speed rotary instruments was found in brand 1, and for low-speed instruments, it was found in brand 3. Finally, according to maintenance, the highest noise level in both types of instruments was found in those that had not received maintenance. It was concluded that the most frequent factor associated with the noise level produced by high and low-speed rotary instruments was maintenance, and all instruments were below the 85 dB permissible exposure limit regulated by MINSA.Publicación Acceso abierto Aplicación del mantenimiento centrado en la confiabilidad (RCM) para mejorar la disponibilidad operativa de los equipos en la empresa CBELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL SAC, Lima, 2025(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-10-03) Arteaga Almerco, Alí; Girao Silva, DavesEl presente trabajo de suficiencia profesional se realizó con el objetivo de incrementar la disponibilidad de equipos a través de la implementación de la metodología RCM en la empresa CBELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL SAC, Lima, 2025. Materials and Methods: The systematic bibliographic review is Observational and retrospective in Spanish, with a history of no more than 5 years, the search has been restricted to full-text articles and which have been selected through critical reading. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, 10% being Chile and 90% of other Latin American countries, no attempt was made to calculate the sample sizes required to determine if the mortality rates and major morbidities after cardiac surgery They change depending on the moment chosen to perform the extubation. 30% are Quasi-experimental studies, another 30% are Random Studies applying conventional extubation with early extubation and prospective studies of the study criteria considering risk factors and patient age in search of evaluating the morbidity and mortality of the patients. patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Conclusions: It was evident in scientific research and systematic reviews of the different types of randomized, quasi-randomized and prospective studies that consider Early Extubation effective in cardiac surgery patients, which reduces the risk of infection and the hospital stay of the post-surgery patient. cardiac surgery, therefore, reduces institutional costs. In addition, the nurse plays important roles in standardizing the care of the intubated patient through timely care in the patency of secretions, position of the patient, well-being and maintenance of the physical and mental comfort of the patient undergoing cardiac surgery.Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of the use of external active heating devices in the perioperative period to reduce hypothermia in patients undergoing surgical intervention(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-02-16) Erribari Sulluchuco, Mirtha Nitza; Giraldo Vicente, Betzabé Maira; Gamarra Bustillos, CarlosObjective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of the use of external active heating devices in the perioperative period to reduce hypothermia in patients undergoing surgical intervention. Materials and Methods: A retrospective systematic review was carried out, which summarizes the findings of various primary studies. These investigations are an important part of evidence-based nursing to answer clinical questions. Thus, it was restricted to documents using the GRADE system, which allowed the recommendation power to be strengthened. Subsequently, the selected investigations were subjected to critical analysis. Results: Finally, 10 articles were selected, carried out in the present study, the active heating methods are efficient, although some seem to be more efficient than others. Better findings were obtained when warming was extended to the preoperative stage to reduce the occurrence of perioperative hypothermia. For this reason, intervention measures are necessary in order to prevent hypothermia and maintain normal temperature before and during the operation. Conclusions: Active warming methods were shown to be effective in maintaining perioperative normothermia. Being an effective measure (efficient and effective), since it increases body temperature and thermal comfort, patient satisfaction and facilitates venous cannulation, it reduces bleeding, infection of the surgical wound, mechanical ventilation time, use of fluids, vasodilators, morphine and antibiotics, blood pressure and cardiac disorders, reduces hospitalization time and costs. Warming during the intraoperative period is sufficient to effectively prevent hypothermia, both at this stage and in the postoperative period.Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of the use of Sodium Chloride 0.9% vs Sodium Heparin in the patency of venous catheters(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Alarcón Quiroz, Shirley Paola; Wong Zárate, Samuel Christian; Gómez Gonzales, Walter EdgarObjectives: Determine the effectiveness of using 0.9% sodium chloride versus sodium heparin on the patency of venous catheters. Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review, the search has been restricted to 8 scientific articles with full text no older than 10 years, the selected articles underwent a critical reading to identify their level of evidence. Results: the results obtained (n=8), 25% (n=08/02), show that the use of heparin is more effective (7.8); 50% (n=08/04) showing the effectiveness of both methods (6, 9, 11,12) and finally we find 25% (n=08/02) showing the effectiveness of saline solution (10 ,13) and that the use of saline solution is preferable to avoid complications with heparin. Conclusions: it is concluded that sodium heparin vs 0.9% sodium chloride are equally effective for maintaining the permeabilization of venous catheters. Recommendations: The use of 0.9% sodium chloride is recommended for the patency of venous catheters because it has lower cost and complications.
