(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-05-17) David Obispo, Rosa María; Chero Pisfil, Santos Lucio
The COVID-19 pandemic, declared a global pandemic on March 11, 2020, affected millions, many of whom passed away. Physical sequelae include decreased exercise tolerance, while mental health sequelae include post-COVID anxiety and depression. This study investigates "Mental Health and Exercise Tolerance in Post-COVID-19 Patients at the Municipal Medical Center of Cajabamba, 2022." The research method will be hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative, applied, non-experimental approach. The mental health variable will measure anxiety and depression using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), and exercise tolerance will be measured with the six-minute walk test (PC6M), both instruments being valid and reliable.

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-07-02) Cangahuala Ticse, Martin; Tamayo Toro, Mónica Alexandra
The aim of the research was to determine the significant relationship between loneliness and suicidal ideation among adolescents in a public school in Metropolitan Lima, 2023. It was conducted using a qualitative approach with a cross-sectional correlational design. The study analyzed a population of 555 students from a public school in Metropolitan Lima, although data were collected from 408 adolescents. The instruments used were the Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale and the Paykel Suicidal Ideation Scale. The results showed that 74.8% of adolescents exhibited a medium-to-high level of loneliness, and 63% reported a medium-to-high level of suicidal ideation. The hypothesis test confirmed that loneliness and suicidal ideation are correlated (Rho = 0.239, sig = 0.000), as well as its components, Emotional Loneliness (Rho = 0.180, Sig = 0.000) and Social Loneliness (Rho = 0.190, Sig = 0.000). The conclusion was that higher levels of loneliness correspond to an increased frequency of suicidal ideations.

Suicidal ideation and post-pandemic stress in young adults in a district of Metropolitan Lima - 2023
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-28) Jimenez Merino, Arely Maru; Ortiz Alcántara, Mercedes Inés
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between suicidal ideation and stress experienced by young adults after the pandemic period in a specific district of Lima Metropolitana during 2023. A quantitative, non-experimental, and correlational methodology was adopted. The target population consisted of young adults between the ages of 20 and 29 living in the district of Chorrillos. To assess suicidal ideation, the Beck Suicidal Ideation Scale (SSI) was applied, while stress levels were measured using the Global Stress Perception Scale (EPGE-14). The results revealed that 99.2% of participants had low suicidal ideation, while 66.3% reported moderate stress levels and 21.7% reported severe stress levels. Statistical analysis showed a significant correlation (p = 0.010) between suicidal ideation and post-pandemic stress in young adults. However, a very low positive correlation (Rho = 0.173) was observed between the two variables. Based on these findings, it is concluded that there is a connection between suicidal ideation and stress levels in young adults after the pandemic, with suicidal ideation increasing as post-pandemic stress levels rise, and vice versa.
