The objective of this research was to evaluate the ergogenic effect of creatine supplementation on the physical capabilities of elite athletes, such as strength, speed, power, among others. The clinical question was: What is the ergogenic effect of creatine supplementation? Creatine supplementation in elite athletes? The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was used. The information search was carried out in Pubmed, Scielo, Dialnet, Cochrane, Elsevier, finding 327 articles, 50 being selected that have been evaluated by the CASPE critical reading tool, finally selecting the systematic review titled “Effects of creatine supplementation on athletic performance in soccer players: a systematic review and meta-analysis”, which has a level of AI evidence and a strong Degree of Recommendation, according to the expertise of the researcher. The critical comment allowed us to conclude that the use of creatine as an ergogenic supplement favors the performance of the elite athlete.
