Materiales y Métodos: es una investigación cuantitativa de diseño no experimental, de corte transversal, la población estará conformada por 90 pacientes que asisten a la unidad de heridas del centro en estudio, para la recolección de datos se utilizara la técnica de la encuesta y un cuestionario para cada variables, cuestionarios que poseen validez y confiabilidad, después de recolectada la información se realizara el análisis de los datos de acuerdo a la naturaleza de las variables efectuándose un análisis descriptivo y luego un análisis inferencial para dar respuesta a la hipótesis del estudio se utilizara como prueba de correlación la Rho de Spearman. La población estará integrada por el total de pacientes con pie diabético hospitalizados en el servicio de cirugía del hospital objeto de estudio durante los meses de septiembre y octubre del 2024 y según la proyección estará conformado por 90 pacientes; la muestra será censal por ser una población finita y manejable; para la recolección de datos se usara como técnica la encuesta para las dos variables y como instrumento los cuestionarios enmarcados en la escala de Likert fueron tomados de estudios peruanos, cuentan con validez y confiabilidad; para el análisis de los datos se realizara a través del análisis descriptivo e inferencial, utilizando como prueba de correlación el RHO de Spearman. Se usó un enfoque cuantitativo, básico de diseño no experimental y con nivel correlacional, con una muestra de 169 pacientes a los cuales se les aplicó cuestionarios. Se encontró una relación positiva y significativa entre el conocimiento y las prácticas preventivas generales (r=0,783; p=0,000), así como con la alimentación saludable (r=0,799), la actividad física (r=0,766) y el cuidado específico de los pies (r=0,671), todos con un nivel de significancia alto (p=0,000). Se concluyó que, a mayor nivel de conocimiento acerca de los cuidados del pie diabético, mejores son las prácticas preventivas adoptadas por los pacientes, lo que sugiere una posible disminución del riesgo de complicaciones como amputaciones o úlceras.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of a self-care program in preventing diabetic foot complications in elderly adults(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-05-19) Montes Garcia, Karin Cristina; Angeles Villon, Jorge Raul; Calsin Pacompia, WilmerIn the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, regarding the country of origin of the studies, 30% (03) correspond to Spain, 20% (02) we find Mexico, while 10% (01) we find Cuba, Colombia, Brazil, Netherlands and Sweden respectively. Regarding the methodological design, 50% quasi-experimental studies, Mexico (02), Spain, Cuba and Colombia. 30% are systematic reviews carried out in Spain (02) and the Netherlands, with 10% being descriptive studies belonging to Brazil. And another 10% to controlled trials belonging to Sweden. Conclusions: 70% of the studies show the effectiveness of self-care programs, because they reduce complications, through education promoting healthy lifestyles, improving quality of life, decrease in the involvement of diabetic foot, decrease in economic cost , reduces the risk level of diabetic foot. 30% conclude that it is not effective because it does not have high-quality research that affirms the reduction of diabetic foot complications, due to uncontrolled methodological designs and the small population studied.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of negative pressure in the treatment of diabetic foot(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-03-27) Chucos Ortiz, Medardo Rafael; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaObjective: To systematize the evidence related to the effectiveness of negative pressure therapy in the treatment of diabetic foot. Material and method: The type of study is quantitative, the design of a systematic review, the studies were obtained from the following databases: Pubmed, Medline, Dialnet, Cochrane and Epistemonikos. Of a total of 10 studies selected from 2014 to 2020, 60% (n = 6/10) correspond to systematic reviews, 20% (n = 2/10) are equivalent to a meta-analysis and 20% (n = 2/10) to clinical trials. According to the quality of evidence, the strength of recommendation is 100% high quality. The studies were developed in countries such as the United Kingdom 20%, Poland 10%, Saudi Arabia 10%, Egypt 10%, Spain 10%, Spanish Basque Community 10%, Germany 10%, Iran 10% and China 10%. Results: According to the systematic review, it is evident that 90% (n=9/10) of the studies show that negative pressure therapy is an effective treatment, however, 10% (n=1/10) indicate that it is not effective in the treatment of diabetic foot. There was a population of 75 articles, of which a sample of 10 was chosen. Results: The total number of articles analyzed (100%) affirm that education is effective in the prevention and evolution of patients with diabetic foot. Conclusions: The education program aimed at patients with diabetic foot is effective, since they understand the importance of self-care, effective education results in modifying knowledge and self-care behaviors, in the favorable evolution of wounds, improvement of somatometric parameters and metabolic processes and improving the quality of life of patients with diabetic foot Recommendations: Spread the impact that educational programs have aimed at patients with diabetic foot, in terms of their better evolution and reduction of complications. Methodology: It is a systematic review of 10 articles obtained from the Lipecs, Lilacs, Scielo, and Pubmed databases, which were subjected to a critical reading. 50% of the articles are from the country of Cuba, 20% from India, 10% from China, Mexico and Venezuela. 40% of the studies are experimental in design, 20% correspond to the design of systematic reviews, 20% to cohort design and 20% to descriptive design. Results: Of the total number of articles reviewed, 90% affirm the effectiveness of epidermal growth factor. Materials and methods: Quantitative study, applied type, non-experimental or observational design, cross-sectional, and correlational scope, considering a population of 160 nurses and a sample of 113 nurses. Two instruments with acceptable validity and reliability criteria will be applied. The instrument measuring job satisfaction consists of 27 items and includes seven dimensions: administrative policy, relationship with authorities, physical and material conditions, social relationships, personal development, labor and/or remuneration benefits, and task performance. Meanwhile, the questionnaire measuring job performance consists of 28 items and includes four dimensions: personal development and training, responsibility, motivation and leadership, and teamwork. The focus of the investigation will be quantitative and will be of an applied type with a non-experimental design of a descriptive correlational scope and a cross-sectional temporal cut since the variables will not be manipulated. The research work in its theoretical framework has 5 international precedents, and 5 national precedents of which 80% (8 precedents) conclude that the 2 variables are related to each other and 20% (2 precedents) conclude that the 2 variables are independent. The research sample is made up of 70 patients who are users of a hospital in Lima 2023 whose condition is that they must be diabetic. For the measurement of the variables, 3 dimensions were considered, such as diet, physical activity and self-care of the feet. To measure the variables, 1 survey was used as a technique for each variable, as well as the instrument was a questionnaire for each variable, which have a reliability of 0.728 (alpha Cronbach) and 0.80 (alpha Cronbach) respectively. Material and method: The type of research is descriptive-correlational with a quantitative approach. The design is non-experimental and cross-sectional, including 50 patients from the “Milagritos” Podological Center. The survey technique was used, and the instrument was a questionnaire with closed-ended questions, some open-ended questions, and a Likert scale, according to the information requirements to achieve the objectives of this work. The reliability of the instrument was determined using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. For the questionnaire used, a value of 0.85 was obtained, which indicates a high level of confidence for the use of this instrument. Results: The study shows a direct relationship between knowledge about self-care and the practices applied by diabetic patients. The Pearson coefficient, with a value less than 0.05, indicates a significant relationship, as reflected by the majority of the patients and their practical application to maintain a healthy life. Most patients know the importance of exercising, the type of socks they should wear, and the need to consult specialists to check their injuries. Diabetic foot is one of the most impactful complications, leading to physical disability, with 50% of cases resulting in amputation, profoundly affecting the quality of life of those who suffer from it and their families. According to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), in 2019, 374 million people had type 2 diabetes (T2DM), and this number is expected to increase to 700 million by 2045. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and self-care practices in the prevention of diabetic foot among users with type 2 diabetes at the Diabetes Association of Peru, Lima 2021. Methodology: A descriptive, correlational, non-experimental, cross-sectional study will be conducted. The study population will consist of 185 elderly patients (100% of the population) with type 2 diabetes attending the Diabetes Association of Peru. The two variables are: Level of knowledge about diabetic foot prevention, which includes two dimensions: general knowledge (blood glucose control, diet, physical activity, blood circulation, and foot care) and risk factors for diabetic foot. Self-care practices in the prevention of diabetic foot, with three dimensions: diet, physical activity, and foot hygiene and care. To assess self-care practices, a checklist of 20 items with a Likert scale for responses (three alternatives) will be used. The present study is of a correlational type and will verify the relationship between the level of knowledge in prevention of diabetic foot and self-care practices. The population was 204 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and the sample is those who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Materials and methods: The method used during the study will be hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach, applied type, correlational scope, and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consists of 49 users with diabetic foot in the outpatient clinic of a public hospital in Trujillo. A survey will be applied through a questionnaire divided into three parts: the first, for general data; the second, on body image perception; and the third, regarding patient self-care, developed by Morales M. in 2019 for Peruvian patients with diabetic foot. It consists of 28 items for the first variable and 40 for the second. Subsequently, data will be analyzed through descriptive and inferential analysis using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. If the data are normally distributed, the parametric Pearson correlation coefficient test will be applied; otherwise, the non-parametric Spearman's Rho test will be used.
