Ítem Acceso abierto Anxiety and depression in patients with renal diseases at the Vida Renal Dialysis Center in San Juan de Miraflores, Lima-2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-04-29) Salazar Vasquez, Rosa Evelin; Urbano Katayama, Víctor ManuelThis research aimed to determine the relationship between anxiety and depression in patients with kidney diseases at the Vida Renal dialysis center in San Juan de Miraflores. A non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional design was used. The sample consisted of 52 patients with kidney diseases, 59.6% men and 40.4% women, ranging in age from 24 to 99 years. The Zung Anxiety Scale and Zung Depression Scale were administered. The results revealed that anxiety was significantly correlated (p<0.01) with depression in a moderate positive manner (rho=0.55). Thus, if patients develop higher levels of anxiety, their depression levels will increase. Material and Methods: The type of quantitative study, the design was a systematic review. The Population was 57 articles, the sample was 10 scientific articles, the instrument was the following databases: Pub Med, Wolters Kluwer, Ovid insights. After the systematic review of the results obtained, according to the methodological design, 20% (n= 2/10) are systematic review, 20% (n= 2/10) meta-analysis, 20% experimental (n=2/10). ) and 40% (n=4/10) cohort, according to the quality of evidence 60% (n=6/10) high and 40 (n=4/10) moderate, in relationship to the strength of recommendation 60% (n=6/10) strong and 40% (n=4/10) weak. According to the country of origin: London 10%, United Kingdom 20%, China 10%, Ireland 20%, India 10%, Japan 10%, Italy 10%, Norway 10% respectively. Results: 50% (n = 5/10) of the articles demonstrate the effectiveness of positioning after macular hole surgery to reduce complications in ophthalmology surgical patients. Conclusion: It was concluded that 50% (n = 5/10) agree on the effectiveness of positioning after macular hole surgery to reduce complications in ophthalmology surgical patients. Discrepancy was found regarding the effectiveness of positioning after macular hole surgery to reduce complications in ophthalmology surgical patients by 50% (n = 5/10).Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of early extubation vs. conventional intubation in reducing the hospital stay of older adults undergoing cardiac surgery(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Cruzado Garay, Liliana Margot; Espinoza Ramirez, Rosa Guadalupe; Gómez Gonzales, Walter EdgarObjective: To establish the effectiveness of early extubation vs. conventional extubation in reducing the hospital stay of older adults undergoing cardiac surgery. Materials and Methods: The systematic bibliographic review is Observational and retrospective in Spanish, with a history of no more than 5 years, the search has been restricted to full-text articles and which have been selected through critical reading. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, 10% being Chile and 90% of other Latin American countries, no attempt was made to calculate the sample sizes required to determine if the mortality rates and major morbidities after cardiac surgery They change depending on the moment chosen to perform the extubation. 30% are Quasi-experimental studies, another 30% are Random Studies applying conventional extubation with early extubation and prospective studies of the study criteria considering risk factors and patient age in search of evaluating the morbidity and mortality of the patients. patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Conclusions: It was evident in scientific research and systematic reviews of the different types of randomized, quasi-randomized and prospective studies that consider Early Extubation effective in cardiac surgery patients, which reduces the risk of infection and the hospital stay of the post-surgery patient. cardiac surgery, therefore, reduces institutional costs. In addition, the nurse plays important roles in standardizing the care of the intubated patient through timely care in the patency of secretions, position of the patient, well-being and maintenance of the physical and mental comfort of the patient undergoing cardiac surgery.Ítem Acceso abierto Patient positioning efficiency to prevent ventilator- associated pneumonia in the intensive care unit(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-11-24) Zurita Chavarria, Elizabeth Giovanna; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioOBJECTIVE: To systematically analyze all available evidence from studies related to the effectiveness of patient positioning in preventing ventilator-associated pneumonia in the Intensive Care Unit. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The population consists of 10 scientific articles published in accredited journals, with a maximum age of 10 years, which were found in various databases: Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo, Medline, and Pubmed. These articles were then examined using the GRADE scale to assess their strength and quality of evidence. RESULTS: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 60% are related to systematic review methodology, 20% are meta-analyses, and 20% are randomized clinical trials. All 10 articles systematically analyzed report on the effectiveness of patient positioning to prevent ventilator-associated pneumonia in the Intensive Care Unit. Furthermore, 90% of them indicate that elevating the head of the bed to a semi-recumbent or semi-sitting position at an angle greater than 30° is effective in reducing the incidence of ventilator-associated pneumonia.Ítem Acceso abierto Sitting versus lateral decubitus position in the management of headache after dural puncture in post-surgical patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-02-22) Quispe Campos, Clarita Amparo; Pozo Minaya, Paulina Celedonia; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoObjective: Systematize the evidence on the sitting position versus lateral decubitus in the control of headache after a dural puncture in post-surgical patients. Materials and methods: The work responds to the quantitative approach, systematic review design, population 16 articles and the sample of 10 studies, studies were located in the database: Scielo, Pubmed, PubMed, Elsevier, Epistemonikos. Results: Of 10 articles investigated, 70% (n= 8/10) are Randomized Clinical Trials, 10% (n= 1/10) are Systematic Reviews and another 10% (n = 1/10) are Cases and Controls. , according to the place where the 100% studies were published, 30% correspond to Colombia, 20% to Iran, 20% to Turkey and with a 10% are Spain, India and China respectively. Conclusion: Of 10 articles analyzed, 6 of 10 report that the lateral decubitus position has better efficacy for controlling headache after dural puncture in post-surgical patients than the sitting position, and 4 of the 10 articles indicate that there is no sufficient scientific evidence to affirm that the lateral decubitus position is more effective in controlling headache after dural puncture in post-surgical patients than the sitting position, however in the context From what has been described, we must state that it is necessary to carry out other systematic reviews in this regard because there were some limitations such as access to the full text of the article, which is why they were excluded.
