Ítem Acceso abierto Cognitive Level of Parents About Toothpastes and Their Relationship in Prevention and Oral Health(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-05-29) Paiva Guerrero, Kevin; Araujo Farje, Jessica JazminOral health care in children is important because it allows for optimal dental caries indices and prevention during the stages of permanent tooth eruption. In children, it is the parents who are responsible for their children's overall health care, and the oral cavity is a part of it. Objective: To determine the cognitive level of parents about toothpaste and its relationship to the prevention of oral health in their children from the Juana Marlene Uribe Romero school in the district of San Martín de Porres. Methodology: The approach was quantitative, as numerical data was collected using a Likert scale. The design was basic and non-experimental because the study variables were not manipulated. Surveys were applied to 70 parents to collect data on the cognitive level and prevention, while an observation form based on the ICDAS and IHOS was used for oral health. Results: The results showed that the cognitive level of parents is significantly positively related to prevention (0.003 < 0.05 and r = 0.515, moderate) and oral health (0.002 < 0.05 and r = 0.613, high). Additionally, the cognitive level of parents regarding toothpaste was 31% very good and 40% good. For oral prevention in children, 37% was good and 44% was average, and for children's oral health, 63% was good and 4% was average. Conclusion: There is a significant positive relationship between the cognitive level of parents about toothpaste and the prevention of oral health in children from the Juana Marlene Uribe Romero primary school in San Martín de Porres, 2022, with a moderate relationship in prevention (r = 0.515) and a high relationship in oral health (r = 0.613)Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of combined interventions to prevent overweight and obesity in children and adolescents(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-12-07) Céspedes Rodriguez, Rossina Elena; Sifuentes Mendoza, Marilin Joana; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioObjective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of combined interventions to prevent overweight and obesity in children and adolescents. They are part of evidence-based nursing due to their rigorous methodology, identifying studies to answer specific questions in practice. The selected full-text articles were subjected to critical reading and the GRADE system for recommendation strength. Ten articles were chosen, with 20% from Sweden, Vietnam (10%), Canada (10%), Mexico (10%), Australia (10%), and Amsterdam (10%), and China, India, USA (10%). Considering the research designs: four randomized clinical trials, one systematic review and meta-analysis, five prospective cohort studies. Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 90% show the effectiveness of administering the tetravalent vaccine with two doses compared to three doses. Additionally, 10% report that fewer than three doses of the tetravalent vaccine have not demonstrated non-inferior immunogenicity compared to three doses, and due to inconclusive evidence, vaccination implementation should be monitored. Conclusion: The studies reviewed provide evidence that 9 out of 10 indicate the effectiveness of the tetravalent vaccine when administering two and three doses.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of the administration of the two-dose tetravalent vaccine compared to three doses in the prevention of human papillomavirus in adolescents who have not yet initiated sexual activity.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-07-08) Gonzales Arévalo, Diana Stefani; Rivera Lozada de Bonilla, OrianaSystematic observational and retrospective review, which synthesizes multiple primary research studies.
