    Effectiveness of intravenous treatment to reduce complications in post-operative patients for venous insufficiency

    Objective: Analyze and systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of intravenous treatment to reduce complications in post-operative patients for venous insufficiency. Materials and Methods: The type of research was quantitative and the study design is a systematic review, the population was a total of 20 scientific articles which only 10 scientific articles published and indexed in scientific databases were sampled, to The GRADE method was used to evaluate the articles, which evaluated the quality of evidence and the strength of recommendation. Results: Of 100% of the articles reviewed, 10% correspond to Holland, China, South Korea and Colombia respectively and 20% correspond to Brazil, Chile and Egypt. In relation to the type of study, it was 100% quantitative and the study design corresponds to 10% Cohort, 20% retrospective clinical trial and 70% prospective randomized clinical trial. Conclusions: It is concluded that 90% of the studies show that the effectiveness of intravenous treatment in reducing complications in post-operative patients with venous insufficiency improves short-term results.

    Effectiveness of occupational therapy in the cognitive deterioration of older adults with Alzheimer's

    Objective: Analyze and systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of occupational therapy in the cognitive deterioration of older adults with Alzheimer's. Materials and Methods: The design was an observational systematic review. The sample was made up of ten articles that met the selection criteria. The search was carried out in a high-impact database, using keywords and Boolean operators in the search. Results: Of the ten articles reviewed, 3/10 (10%) belong to the Asian continent (Republic of Korea). 5/10 (50%) were systematic reviews, 2/10 (20%) were randomized trials, 2/10 (20%) were longitudinal cohort designs, and 1/10 (10%) were experimental. 8/10 (80%) studies obtained significant favorable results, while 2/10 (20%) did not obtain significant results. The relevant factors to demonstrate the effectiveness of occupational therapy were the duration and number of therapies, likewise, it is necessary to individualize the type of therapy in the patient according to the degree of cognitive impairment. Conclusions: The studies reviewed show the effectiveness of occupational therapy in the cognitive deterioration of older adults with Alzheimer's.

    Effectiveness of pillows in reducing cervical thoracic pain and improving sleep in workers

    Objective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of pillows in reducing cervical thoracic pain and improving sleep in workers. Material and methods: The type of quantitative research, the study design is a systematic review, the population was 176 articles, and the sample was 10 scientific articles published and indexed in scientific databases, the instrument was a search based on Data: Pubmed, Epistemonikos, MEDLINE For the evaluation of the articles, the GRADE system was used, which evaluated the quality of evidence and the strength of recommendation. Results: The 100% articles correspond to the United States 10%, Thailand 10%, Australia 20%, China 20%, South Korea 20% and Italy 20%. In relation to the designs and types of studies, 90% were randomized controlled trials, 10% were retrospective comparative trials and 10% were systematic reviews. Conclusion: It was concluded that 100% of authors point out the effectiveness of the use of pillows of all types that allow the reduction of cervical thoracic pain and the improvement of sleep in workers within their home, taking into account the shape or latex design. or viscoelastic, made of cool material, the height and dimension of the layers that can provide comfort.

    Effectiveness of the administration of Omega-3 fatty acids in reducing the adverse effects of chemotherapy in cancer patients

    Objective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of the administration of omega-3 fatty acids in reducing the adverse effects of chemotherapy in cancer patients. MATERIAL AND METHOD: The study is quantitative, with a systematic, observational and retrospective review design; of articles with full text, which identified their grade or quality of evidence according to the Grade System. Likewise, the population was made up of 10 most relevant scientific articles that were obtained from the following databases Pubmed, Medline, Embase, Cochrane Library, Dialnet, Scielo, and Lilacs. Of which 70% correspond to the methodological design of systematic review and 30% to randomized clinical trials, corresponding to the countries of the United States 20% (02/10), Holland 10% (01/10), Iran 10% (01 /10), Portugal 10% (01/10), Italy 10% (01/10), Colombia 10% (01/10), South Korea 10% (01/10), Mexico 10% (01/10), and Spain 10% (01/10). Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, (10/10), 100% demonstrate effectiveness of the administration of omega-3 fatty acids in reducing the adverse effects of chemotherapy in cancer patients. Conclusions: 10 of 10 reviewed articles demonstrate evidence of the effectiveness of the administration of omega-3 fatty acids in reducing the adverse effects of chemotherapy in cancer patients; That is, evidence suggests a role for omega-3 fatty acid supplementation in cancer treatment, but they have been shown to preserve muscle mass and function in cancer patients.

    Efficacy of antioxidant supplements in cancer prevention

    Material and methods: It is a systematic review research that consists of 07 articles that were found in different databases, evaluated according to the GRADE scale to determine its validity and strength of evidence. Results: The population is made up of 7 articles of which 40% are systematic reviews, 20% Meta-analysis and 10% experimental that correspond to the following countries: South Korea 20% (2/7), Costa Rica 10 % (1/7), Cuba 10% (1/7), Denmark 10% (1/7), USA 20% (2/7), with 20% corresponding Meta-analyses from South Korea which show that antioxidant supplements are not effective for cancer prevention and 20% (2/7) of systematic reviews report that there is no clear evidence that antioxidant supplements are effective for cancer prevention. Conclusions: 70% (5/7) of the articles reviewed systematically show that antioxidant supplements are not effective for the prevention of cancer in patients.

    Efficacy of the I-Gel Supraglottic Device in Pediatric Patients Based on First Attempt Insertion Success Rate

    Objective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of the i-gel supraglottic device in pediatric patients according to the insertion success rate on the first attempt. Materials and Methods: the study design was a systematic review, the population consisted of 28 articles, and the sample was 10 scientific articles published and indexed in scientific databases, the instrument was a database search: Scielo, PubMed, EBSCO and Wiley Online Library, the GRADE method was used to evaluate the articles, which evaluated the quality of evidence and the strength of recommendation. Results: According to origin, 10% (1/10) corresponds to the United States, 10% (1/10) Switzerland, 10% (1/10) Japan, 10% (1/10) India, 30% (3/10) 10) South Korea, 30% (3/10) United Kingdom 30% (3/10). According to design, 80% (8/10) is a randomized clinical trial, 20% (2/10) is a systematic review. According to evidence, 100% (10/10) evidence efficacy of the i-gel supraglottic device in pediatric patients according to the insertion success rate on the first attempt. Of the 10 articles reviewed, it is shown that the insertion success rate on the first attempt was 70% to 100%, with an insertion time of 13.5s to 25s, a good vision of the fiber optic of 74%. to 97%, as well as a good insertion of the gastric tube with a value of 90% to 100% and finally obtained a leak pressure of 20cmH2O at 25 cmH2O. Conclusions: There is evidence of the effectiveness of the i-gel supraglottic device in pediatric patients based on the insertion success rate on the first attempt.
